The GOAT – Heading Towards No. 1 Grosser Of Tamil Nadu!

‘Thalapthy’ Vijay’s sci-fi drama is pulling off a heist. Despite receiving poor response from critics and audiences, the Venkat Prabhu-directorial is performing exceedingly well within the state of Tamil Nadu.

The Greatest Of All Time registered superb footfalls today; even tomorrow’s advance bookings look promising. Having said that, the film’s second weekend gross collection is expected to be in the range of INR 175 crore within Tamil Nadu. If the film manages to mint INR 50 crore more, it’ll emerge as the highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu, a record now held by Mani Rathnam’s PS-1 (2022).

Keeping this aside, The GOAT will surely get past the INR 200 crore mark, which’ll make Vijay the only actor in history to have back-to-back 200 crore grossers in Tamil Nadu. And also the first actor to have two 200 crore grossers under his belt.

#NBK109 Locks Date – Gears Up For A Solo Release Day

Nandamuri Balakrishna has been in excellent form lately, delivering a series of three hundred-crore grossers. Having said that, there’s good buzz around the veteran actor’s next theatrical release.

Written and directed by K. S. Ravindra (Bobby), this action drama is tentatively titled #NBK109. Sithara Entertainment, along with two other companies, is funding this project.

The makers were originally planning for a release for Christmas, but due to the arrival of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule and Ram Charan‘s Game Changer, they were left with no choice but to postpone.

According to a reliable source, #NBK109 will arrive for Sankranthi on 9th January 2025, to be precise. The film will have a solo release day as Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara announced for 10th January release and Venkatesh – Anil Ravipudi’s film expected to arrive on 11th January.

S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR (2022) has given us the biggest multistarrer of our generation. Right from the film’s announcement to it’s theatrical release, the action drama carried enormous hype among Telugu audiences.

However, post-release, there has been extreme hatred between the fans of Charan and Tarak, with the former’s supporters claiming RRR to be their hero’s film. The feud was so big that the film’s story writer, Vijayendra Prasad, in response to these claims, had slammed fans for their immature thinking.

The world is already witnessing the frenzy around Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One. Particularly in the overseas belt, the Kortala Siva-directorial has minted a humongous amount with pre-sales alone. The film’s pre-release event will take place on 22nd September in Hyderabad.

Like any other pan-Indian biggie, even Devara has attained permission for a hike in ticket prices across Telugu states. Fortunately, the newly formed governments of TG and AP were fully supportive of Telugu cinema; hope this continues for years to come.

The crime comedy film Mathu Vadalara 2 (2024) has kept the box office ringing on its first day of theatrical release. Written and directed by Hitesh Rana, it is a sequel to the blockbuster Mathu Vadalara (2019). Mythri Movie Makers, along with Clap Entertainment, has produced this project.

Coming to the point, Mathu Vadalara 2’s first day worldwide gross collections stand at an impressive INR 5.3 crore. The film’s best performing territory is the overseas belt, where it has minted $450K (including premieres).

For those unaware, the combination of writer-director H. Vinoth and Kamal Hassan was on cards for months. The former, under the supervision of the latter, has reportedly developed a bound script.

But for reasons unknown, the film didn’t materialize. Coincidentally, this happened to be the exact phase in which Mr. Vinoth got an opportunity to direct ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay. Marking his 69th feature film appearance, this is the final film in the actor’s prolific film career.

An official announcement regarding the same has also been made yesterday. Interestingly, a concept poster unveiled by the film’s co-producer has confirmed that #Thalapathy69 is the exact script that Vinoth had for ‘Ulaganayagan’. Anirudh Ravichander is the project’s music composer, while KVN Productions is the production company.

Thalapathy 69, upcoming and final film of Tamil Actor Vijay has officially been annoucned. The film will be directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN productions banner. Anirudh Ravichander will compose tunes for the film making it his 5th collaboration with Vijay. The film is scheduled for release in October 2025.

The film also has a caption of The Torch bearer of Democracy going in line with Vijay’s political inclinations in real life. The film also seems to be a social based film. Tollywood Actor NTR has fulfilled his ailing fan’s wish today. The Actor spoke to his fan through a video call and assured him of financial help to recover from illness. The fan and his parents pleaded NTR a day before to help them financially. The fan also said that he wanted to die after watching NTR’s current film, Devara. This became viral recently.

The fan who was suffering from blood cancer evidently became very happy after talking to NTR on the phone. NTR consoled him and also hoped of his better health in the coming days.
