Record Prices For Devara’s Premiere Show Tickets!

Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part One is all set to blast the global box office this Friday. In spite of the cancellation of the pre-release event, the film carries enormous hype, and the strong advance bookings are proof of that.

Like any other pan-Indian biggie, the makers of this action drama too have approached the respective governments of Telugu states for ticket hikes. And fortunately, they’ve given a nod. Devara will have special premieres across the world, including the prestigious Beyond Fest in Los Angeles, which will be graced by the ‘Young Tiger’ himself.

In Hyderabad city, Devara’s special premiere, that is scheduled at 1: 08 PM, ticket price is being quoted at a mammoth INR 1000. On the other hand, the shows in the Andhra region stand at INR 800. Even S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR (2022) didn’t have this kind of price. Having said that, the Jr. NTR starrer is sure to take an earth-shattering opening on 27th September.

‘Mass Ka Das’ Vishwak Sen will be next seen in a romantic action drama called ‘Mechanic Rocky’. Written and directed by newcomer Ravi Teja Mullapudi, it features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Jakes Bejoy is the music composer.

Post this, he is signed to play the lead role in a comedy film in the direction of K. V. Anudeep of Jathi Ratnalu (2021) fame. Sources reveal that the Falaknuma Das star has demanded a whopping INR 7 crore as the remuneration. Naga Vamshi is co-producing this film under the banner ‘Sithara Entertainments’.

The project is locked, and Priyanka Arul Mohan, who recently scored a hit with Nani‘s Saripodha Sanivaaram (2024), has been approached to romance Vishwak Sen. And the bubbly 29-year-old actress has apparently given a nod. Stay tuned for more updates.

Tollywood Actor Pawan Kalyan haulted the shooting works of his upcoming films. The Actor became busy with his political activities and paused the shoots of OG, Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Now, Hari Hara Veera Mallu film shoot will be started soon with official confirmation of the release date as well. The film will release on 28th March next year. Pawan Kalyan’s film puts Vijay Devarakonda in trouble and let’s know why.

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, VD12 directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri is also slated for release on 28th March next year. This will ultimately become a clash with Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Postponing the film to a later date is not possible as there are many more films planned for Summer. Preponing the film will not have a holiday advantage for the film. So we have to see how the producers of VD12 go with the film’s release plan. We are also not sure of Hari Hara Veera Mallu team discussing this with VD12 team.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu would have been released by now but it got postponed many times due to Pawan Kalyan. Now the film is creating a clash as well. VD12 team may not risk their fate with a Pawan Kalyan’s film. They may have to postpone the film.

Garikapati criticises Kalki 2898 AD

Popular Spiritual preacher Garikapati Narasimha Rao has come down heavily on recently released blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. He was not happy with how the actual history was twisted in the film. Garikapati criticised Kalki 2898 AD for its concentration of elevating Karna and Aswathama.

As we all aware of Prabhas, the lead Actor of the film playing the role of Karna and Amitabh Bachchan doing the Aswathama role from Indian Epic, Mahabharatha. Garikapati took objection to the idea of elevating both these characters more than Lord Krishna and Arjuna. He also said that Aswathama had never taken the help of Karna and instead it was Aswathama who helped Karna many times according to the epic. But it shown in reverse in the film which Garikapati didn’t like.

He said that filmmakers don’t follow the actual reality and write dialogues according to their convenience. We need to see how the makers of Kalki 2898 AD respond to this. Apart from these, Kalki 2898 AD interestingly became the highest grosser of the year by grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. The sequel of the film is also in the making and may release in 2028.

David Warner cast in Nithiin’s Robinhood

Australian cricketer David Warner became popular with his antics on social media platforms referring to many films of Indian film Industries. Warner entertains many netizens with several edits of himself in many songs of films as well. Now, he is set to make his film debut soon. David Warner is said to have been cast in Nithiin starrer Robinhood.

Warner was approached for a cameo role in Robinhood directed by Venky Kudumula, fame of Chalo and Bheeshma. The film’s shoot is currently happening in Australia. The unit is filming a duet song between the lead pair Nithiin and Sree Leela. GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes and Shekhar Master composes the choreography. Robinhood is also eyeing the release date on 20th December this year.

On the other hand, Ram Charan starrer Game Changer is also speculated to release during the Chirstmas season this year. So, it has to be seen how Robinhood sustains in the clash with Game Changer. Nithiin lastly worked for Extraordinary Man which failed miserably at the box office. Now, he is aiming to come back strong with Robinhood. He has also planned Thammudu under the direction of Venu Sri Ram produced by Dil Raju.

Sundeep Kishan, a notable actor of Telugu cinema, was last seen in a lead role in V. I. Anand’s fantasy adventure Ooru Peru Bhairavakona (2024). The film had managed to bring the actor’s struggling career on track.

Mathu Vadalara 2 Smashes $ 1 Million At US Box-Office!

Crime comedy Mathu Vadalara 2 (2024) has once again reiterated the fact that overseas belt is the hub for small and medium-budget films to rake in big amounts. Following excellent advance bookings for premieres, the film performed well in its first two weeks of theatrical run.

Yesterday, Mathu Vadalara 2 got past the million-dollar mark at the US box office. Considering its modest budget, this is a laudable achievement for the entire cast and crew. Overall, the film’s worldwide gross stands at an impressive INR 30.1 crore.

A direct sequel to Mathu Vadalara (2019), the film features actors Sri Simha Koduri and Satya reprising their roles from the first installment. Mythri Movie Makers have funded this film that stars Faria Abdullah of Jathi Ratnalu (2021) fame as the female lead.

Devara Misses Out on Major Hype Boost

Pre-release events are a great way to boost a movie’s buzz and create expectations. This becomes even more important in the case of a pan-India biggie starring an A-lister. Devara is one such film that would have benefitted from a pre-release event. Unfortunately, for the fans, this didn’t work out.

Fans were hoping for 2 things- NTR’s speech and Anirudh’s performance. Both didn’t happen and the release trailer came out without any strong buzz. Devara’s Pre-release event got cancelled due to organisational failure leaving the fans frustrated.

It has been six years since NTR was last seen in a solo film and thousands of fans flocked to Hyderabad to catch Tarak in person and experience the euphoria of Devara’s pre-release event. Now it’s confirmed that the team completely skipped the event and NTR flew to USA.

Anirudh’s performance and NTR’s appearance on the stage were missed, which is a huge setback for the film. The hype these two would have created at the pre-release event would have amplified the hype for the movie to another level and it’s a missed opportunity now.
