Benz: Prequel To Leo?

Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence as the lead and Nivin Pauly as the villain, has already been announced as a part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), and now, the latest buzz suggests that it is a prequel to the movie Leo.

This is the first LCU film that is not directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, but it will have his supervision for the story and screenplay. 

Now, a strong set of rumors says that Raghava Lawrence’s Benz could be a prequel to Leo, exploring the untold story behind Leo Das’s past. Actor Narain, who played major roles in Kaithi and Vikram, returns in Benz. 

Currently, the film’s shoot is happening at the Das and Co tobacco factory, the same location that played a crucial role in Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo movie.

Malavika Mohanan Denies Rumors of Acting with Chiranjeevi

For the past few days, there have been rumors that actress Malavika Mohanan had signed a film with Megastar Chiranjeevi, titled Mega158. However, Malavika responded on social media and clearly denied the news.

Mega158 is the second collaboration between Chiranjeevi and director Bobby (K. S. Ravindra), following their hit film Waltair Veerayya. The new project is said to feature two female leads, and casting speculations have been making rounds recently.

Although several reports claimed that Malavika Mohanan would be paired with Chiranjeevi in the film, the actress confirmed that she is not part of the project.

Clarifying the rumors, Malavika wrote, “Hi guys, so there are a lot of reports circulating online that I’m a part of Mega 158 helmed by Bobby sir. While I would love to share the screen with the iconic Chiranjeevi sir at some point in my career, I just wanted to clarify that I’m not a part of this project and the reports are false.” 

Malavika was recently seen in Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam, and she is currently working on “The Raja Saab,” starring Prabhas, which is set for release on January 9, 2025.

Peddi to Hit Theatres as a Solo Pan-India Release

Revanth Reddy’s New Rule on Ticket Price Hike

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been holding several meetings with top personalities from the Telugu film industry, and today he announced a new rule regarding ticket price hikes.

According to the CM, the Congress government will issue a Government Order (GO) to allow ticket price increases for big movies only if 20% of the movie’s income is given to film workers.

He also announced that a corporate-level school will be built on 3–4 acres of government land in Krishna Nagar to provide free education for the children of film workers.

Revanth Reddy said, “When ticket prices go up, heroes and producers earn more. So, no matter how big the producer is, we will issue the GO only if 20% of the extra income is given to the workers. If you all support me, it’s my responsibility to bring Hollywood here.”

Now, everyone is waiting to see how the Telugu film industry will respond to this new rule on ticket price hikes from the Telangana government.
