Akhanda 2 Two Days Box Office Collections

0

There were massive expectations for Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna’s Akhanda sequel. Despite getting negative word of mouth or reviews, Akhanda 2 has gathered good collections in two days.

Here are the details of Akhanda 2 2 days WW BO

Day 1 share: 30.04 Cr
Day 2 share: 10.25 Cr
Includes GST in Nizam & Andhra
2 days share: 40.29 Cr
Breakeven: 110 Cr
Recovery: 37%

Looking at the business, Akhanda 2’s two days collections are below par. However, considering the WOM, the numbers are respectable.

Trade and fans expect the film to get as many as numbers during the first weekend. But one thing is sure: if the movie had received a positive response, then the box office collections would have been excellent. Let us see how the film performs in the coming days

Akhanda 2 Box Office: Balakrishna’s Stardom Proven

0

After facing unexpected postponement and landing in theaters this week, Akhanda 2 opens with bad reviews and word of mouth at the box office, but the film is not having such poor collections thanks to Balakrishna’s stardom.

The much-awaited sequel received poor reviews from the premiere itself, which affected the collections hugely, but collections are not seeing a disastrous drop. It’s maintaining an average to decent range, but the numbers are not enough for the record business.

Earlier, poor reviews led to Balakrishna’s films collapsing after just one day. After the first day, numbers remained low. Not only for him, but even for the other senior heroes, if the films open with negative talk, the films will not perform after opening day.

But Akhanda 2 saw some respectable numbers on day 2, and it collected over 15 Cr gross in India. Today also the film is expected to post 15Cr+ gross in India.

No senior hero film has scored 100 Cr gross with bad WOM, but Akhanda 2 has a chance to do this with the help of Balakrishna’s stardom. If it happens, then he will be the 1st hero to do so. But for the business it has done, the film needs to gross 180 Cr in the final run, which looks impossible.

Dhurandhar 2 Needs a Postponement

0

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar is having a rampage weekend at the box office, as the film is scoring more numbers on the second weekend than on the first weekend. Looking at the film’s success, it will be good for the makers if they postpone Dhurandhar 2 from its announced date, March 19, 2026.

Released on December 5, the spy action thriller/drama received positive reviews and gained strength at the box office with each passing day. Today, the film stunned the trade by breaking Pushpa 2’s 2nd Saturday Hindi net (40 Cr+) by a 25% margin with 50 Cr+ net. The film is on track to even beat Pushpa 2’s lifetime net in India for Hindi to emerge as the all-time no. 1 grosser.

So, if the makers postpone Dhurandhar 2 to December 2026, it will be the best decision for its box office prospects. Looking at the first part’s storm in theaters, it is expected to have a strong theatrical run until January. After the OTT release, the film will need some breathing space to attract more audiences, especially in the South.

Furthermore, the March 19th date provides insufficient time for Part 2 promotions and buzz-building. A December release would be the proper choice for the sequel.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh: A Complete Fan Feast, Not a Remake

0

After the blockbuster Gabbar Singh, the announcement of Ustaad Bhagat Singh in the combination of Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar created immense excitement among fans. However, the joy quickly turned into disappointment when it was revealed that the film was a remake of the Tamil movie Theri.

Recently, director Harish Shankar clarified that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a remake. He stated that the film is a grand treat meant to thoroughly entertain Pawan Kalyan’s fans.

Speaking to fans, Harish Shankar revealed, “Initially, I planned Ustaad Bhagat Singh as a college love story. But considering the expectations associated with our combination, where fans look forward to a mass entertainer, I made several changes to the story.

During that phase, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, and I went through a period of depression. Because of that, there was some delay from my side in shaping the story properly. It is true that at one point we considered making a remake, but the entire team was not fully excited about it. So, we dropped that idea and decided to work on a completely new story,” he said.

Overall, the director described Ustaad Bhagat Singh as a powerful action entertainer designed to please Pawan Kalyan’s fans. Meanwhile, the film’s first song, Dekhlenge Saala, was released a short while ago and has received a positive response from the audience.

Now, the film returns with an Extended Cut, promising even more emotion, romance, and drama. Raju Weds Rambai will premiere on OTT through ETV Win on December 18, available with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for a rich viewing experience.

The Telugu digital platform announced this with an interesting tagline that says: “We ruled the theaters, now we’re coming to rule your screens too!”

The Raja Saab: Second Single Loading, Thaman Under Pressure

0

Music director Thaman impressed everyone with his songs and background score in OG, but he failed to satisfy Prabhas’s fans with the first single from The Raja Saab. Now, a big responsibility rests on his shoulders to win them over with the second single.

Reportedly, the second song from Prabhas and Maruthi’s horror-comedy film is set to release on December 16, with an official announcement likely to be made tomorrow.

Since the first song did not make a strong impact, this release is very crucial, not just for the film but also for Thaman’s image, as Prabhas’s fans are already unhappy with his underwhelming work on the first single.

The music director now needs to deliver a chartbuster to win back the audience and regain everyone’s confidence.

Dekhlenge Saala: Pawan Kalyan Steals The Show

0

Dekhlenge Saala, the first song from Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, has given a rampage start to the album. The fans who kept their hopes high on the director have been completely satisfied with the song.

The lyrics are catchy, and one good thing about DSP is that the sound mixing is clear with proper impact. The beats, costumes, grand set, and choreography are perfect. Pawan Kalyan and Sree Leela’s pairing looks fantastic. This is probably the best look of Pawan in recent times, and his energy is also superb.

Overall, the first single of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Dekhlenge Saala, arrives as an excellent treat for PSPK fans, and the Gabbar Singh combination is set to recreate the same magic in the summer of 2026.

NTR—Prashanth Neel’s first-ever combination film, Dragon, faced many delays in its filming, and the latest news is that the film’s shoot finally resumes. The fans eagerly await the film’s updates and exciting revelations.

According to the plan, the film’s shoot had to start last year itself, with a target of the 2026 Sankranthi release. But it took a very long time to start.

So, with that, the makers announced the release for summer. But after the shoot started, Neel again worked on the script because of many reasons, which led to a big break. During this break, many changes, and improvements are stated to have happened to the story.

Now the news is that the film is coming as a 2 part series. After a long break, finally, NTR’s Dragon resumes the shoot today.

The producers already said that they are going with proper planning, and there will be no breaks for the shooting, which is expected to be completed before August according to the plan.

If everything goes as planned, then the movie might arrive in December 2026, or else it will move to Sankranthi or early 2027.

0

Bigg Boss 9 Telugu arrives at the last weekend of elimination, and after this, it will move on to the grand finale week. Viewers are excited about the last eviction, and there are two contestants who will go out of the Bigg Boss house before the final.

As of now, there are a total of 7 contestants in the house: Tanuja, Bharani, Suman, Kalyan, Pavan, Sanjana, and Emanuel. The news is that a double elimination will happen this weekend, and Suman and Bharani will be evicted from the house.

With this other 5 contestants will go to the finale. One good thing is that two commoners, Kalyan and Pavan, are entering the finale, which is for the first time in Bigg Boss’s history. There are also chances of the commoner Kalyan winning the title.

Currently, the viewers discuss the news of the Bigg Boss 9 Telugu last weekend of elimination, and some are shocked to know that Suman Shetty, who initially was expected to be in the top 5, lost the game in the middle and failed to reach the finale. Bharani, who was already evicted before re-entering as a wild card, could not impress the viewers with his game, which made him get eliminated again.

Mowgli Movie Review: Predictable Plot and Lackluster Execution

0

Movie Name: Mowgli 2025
Rating: 2.25/5
Cast:
Roshan Kanakala, Sakshi Mhadolkar, Bandi Saroj Kumar, Harsha Chemudu and others
Director: Sandeep Raj
Produced By:
 People Media Factory
Release Date: 13th December 2025

Mowgli 2025, starring Roshan Kanakala and Sakshi Mhadolkar alongside Bandi Saroj Kumar as the villain, impressed audiences with its posters and promos. The film, directed by Sandeep Raj, has arrived in theaters today. Let’s check how it has been shaped up in the following review.

Story:

Murali Krishna, known as Mowgli (Roshan Kanakala), lives in a small town near a forest. He does various odd jobs to earn a living and dreams of becoming a police officer someday. His life changes when he meets Jasmine, a young woman who is deaf and mute. The two fall in love, and everything seems perfect until Christopher Nolan, a manipulative and womanizing police officer, enters their lives and shatters their happiness. The rest of the film follows Mowgli and Jasmine as they stand up to him to protect their love.

Performances:

Roshan Kanakala plays the lead role with sincerity, but the character fails to leave a strong impact. Sakshi Mhadolkar plays the challenging role of a deaf and mute woman convincingly, though her character lacks depth and scope. Bandi Saroj Kumar appears as the antagonist and delivers a few impactful moments with his performance, but weak writing limits his potential. Harsha Chemudu does a decent job as the hero’s friend.

Analysis:

Mowgli is written and directed by Sandeep Raj, known for Colour Photo. The love story is set in a forest-town backdrop, which feels fresh. The film opens by introducing the villain and then shifts to the love story of the lead pair.

The introduction of the hero, his friend, and their lifestyle is handled reasonably well. However, the love track set against a film shoot backdrop fails to make a strong impression. While the initial moments between the lead pair are fine, the spark quickly fades.

The narrative leading up to the pre-interval feels stretched, as the emotional depth the director aims for never truly lands. The interval, however, works to an extent with a small twist that connects the villain more directly to the love story.

After the interval, the film improves slightly. The police station sequence, which involves the villain and the lead pair works in parts. However, the fightback by the hero and heroine is not portrayed with enough intensity. The storyline becomes predictable, reminding viewers of films like Jayam. The pre-climax, which involves Harsha’s character, is passable.

The climax is overextended. Just when the emotion starts to register, the director unnecessarily drags it further by adding a forced Karma and God angle, which weakens the impact.

Positives:

  • Interval Episode
  • Post-Interval Police Station Sequence
  • Few Scenes Between the Lead Pair

Negatives:

  • Uninteresting Screenplay
  • Love Track Lacks The Magic
  • Unnecessarily Stretched Scenes
  • Dragged Climax

Mowgli 2025 Review and Verdict:

Overall, Sandeep Raj’s “Mowgli” presents a predictable plot. While the decent performances and a few well-written scenes work for it, the film ultimately falls short, failing to make a lasting impression due to its dragged-out screenplay and overly familiar, worn-out treatment.
