0

Projected as a big Pan India biggie by the makers, Kanguva resulted out itself in a shocking way. The film is heading towards one of the biggest disasters ever in Kollywood and Suriya’s career as well. It is currently in the range of 80 crores worldwide showing no growth after a bad weekend. So, now the big question is, Can Kanuva atleast cross the 100 crore mark?

The film with a unanimous negative review is showing disastrous performance in the current week days. So, the film crossing the 100 crore mark by the next weekend may seem very difficult. The makers have also realised this and came up with trimming many portions ranging upto 20 minutes from the film. The sound mixing which was complained of being too loud initially by the audience has already been modified apart from this. So, we need to see how these new changes would attract any new audience.

But the problem is with the blockbuster Amaran which is still solid aiming for another big weekend. Amaran has already crossed the 275 crore mark and heading towards the 300 crore mark worldwide. Now, this may completely damage the prospects of Kanguva in the upcoming weekend. There have already been trolls over the exaggerated numbers shown by the makers about the film’s performance at the box office.

Post Production works are also in full swing mode. Fans and Audience have been eagerly waiting for the release of Good Bad Ugly since long time. And this will be a great release time for the film.

On the other hand, Game Changer was also expected to have a good opening and run in Tamil Nadu with the presence of Director Shankar. But this may take a beating now with the arrival of Good Bad Ugly. Shankar who last encountered a big disaster in the form of Indian 2 has hoped of coming back big with Game Changer in Tamil Nadu. Game Changer may not get enough amount of screen count because of Good Bad Ugly. Also, Vikram’s film, Veera Dheera Sooran is speculated to arrive for Sankranthi. So, these two films would become the first preference for the Tamil Audience over Game Changer.

This remarkable trend reflects the massive anticipation and love for the sequel, following the blockbuster success of Pushpa: The Rise.

Box office Collections: Amaran Day 19 > Kanguva Day 5

0

The box office battle between Amaran and Kanguva has taken an unexpected turn. While Amaran continues its dream run, Kanguva seems to be struggling to make its mark. From its opening day, Kanguva failed to generate the desired momentum, with collections falling below expectations. This slow performance gave Amaran a golden opportunity to solidify its dominance, even in its third weekend.

By the 19th day of its release, Amaran hit the coveted ₹300 crore mark worldwide. Monday further highlighted the stark contrast between the two films. On its fifth day, Kanguva registered disappointing numbers, even lower than Amaran’s collections on its 19th day. This trend extended across all major territories, including Tamil Nadu, the Telugu states, and the rest of India, where Amaran’s 19th-day collections were 20% higher than Kanguva’s 5th day figures.

While Amaran shows no signs of slowing down, heading confidently toward the ₹350 crore milestone, Kanguva is nearing the end of its theatrical run. Its diminishing returns have painted a bleak picture, raising questions about what went wrong for the film.

The contrasting performances underline the unpredictability of the box office. Amaran has clearly emerged as the audience’s favorite, with strong word-of-mouth and sustained interest propelling its success, while Kanguva struggles to recover from its underwhelming start.
