Sukumar, Devi Sri Prasad, and Allu Arjun are among Tollywood’s most iconic combinations, having produced several chartbusters over the last two decades. With Pushpa 2, this combo was expected to take their fame to a global level. Unfortunately, due to various issues, other music composers had to be involved in Pushpa 2 at the last moment replacing DSP.

This decision by Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers has received criticism from many. It was also speculated that Devi Sri Prasad became busy with his concert works and delayed the completion of the BGM for Pushpa 2. This angered the production house, which went ahead and replaced him with Thaman, Sam CS, and Ajaneesh Loknath. 

It was speculated that Allu Arjun also became angry at Devi Sri Prasad for not taking care of the background music of Pushpa 2. All these tussles led to an outburst by DSP in the Pushpa 2 Chennai event. According to Devi Sri Prasad, the film’s producer was not happy with the late submission of the BGM work.

The producers Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni have responded to this. During a media interaction for Robinhood promotions Ravi Shankar said, “We did not feel anything wrong with Devi Sri Prasad’s statement. He clearly said that we have love towards him and also complaints. The media is unnecessarily blowing the issue out of proportion. We will continue working with him for several more films and have great love for him.”

The Director was booked by Police for allegedly morphing the images of Politican Chandrababu Naidu and his family. The Director also objected to case booked against him by people who didn’t have anything to do with the case.

The two films will be arriving on OTT from Tonight. The makers of these films are also waiting eagerly for their response on the OTT platforms.

Dhanush files a case against Nayanthara

Dhanush and Nayanthara indulged in an ugly war over the usage of the footage of their film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Dhanush, who worked as the Producer for the film, had rejected the wish of Nayanthara to use few Behind the Scenes footage from the film in her wedding Documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale on Netflix. Still, 3 shots from the film were used in the documentary and now Dhanush has filed a case against Nayanthara and Netflix over this unapproved usage.

Dhanush has filed a petition before Madras High Court against Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan alongwith the Streaming giant, Netflix. Now, it needs to be seen how the Court would proceed on the issue which appears as a complex one. According to Nayanthara, these portions were filmed on a mobile and aren’t film property. But Dhanush believes these would still be a part of the film’s shoot for which he had objected to as well.

Nayanthara also revealed that Dhanush had demanded a whopping 10 crores as compensation for having used the footage. She also stated that he had rejected for a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) initially for using the footage. Amid this interesting fight, the two were spotted sitting adjacent to each other at a marriage event that happened recently in Chennai. This image became viral as well.
