Dhanush and Nayanthara indulged in an ugly war over the usage of the footage of their film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Dhanush, who worked as the Producer for the film, had rejected the wish of Nayanthara to use few Behind the Scenes footage from the film in her wedding Documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale on Netflix. Still, 3 shots from the film were used in the documentary and now Dhanush has filed a case against Nayanthara and Netflix over this unapproved usage.
Dhanush has filed a petition before Madras High Court against Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan alongwith the Streaming giant, Netflix. Now, it needs to be seen how the Court would proceed on the issue which appears as a complex one. According to Nayanthara, these portions were filmed on a mobile and aren’t film property. But Dhanush believes these would still be a part of the film’s shoot for which he had objected to as well.
Nayanthara also revealed that Dhanush had demanded a whopping 10 crores as compensation for having used the footage. She also stated that he had rejected for a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) initially for using the footage. Amid this interesting fight, the two were spotted sitting adjacent to each other at a marriage event that happened recently in Chennai. This image became viral as well.
