No Jailer 2 in 2025

Jailer 2 will not be released in 2025. It is widely known that Jailer, the action drama starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson was released last year and became a massive blockbuster at the box office. The film was supposed to have a sequel and according to the reports, Jailer 2’s entire pre-production works are completed, and it was said that a promo is getting ready to announce the film on Rajinikanth’s birthday.

The shoot is expected to start in early 2025. The sequel of Jailer was initially planned for Diwali 2025. But now the news is that Nelson wants more time for the film, and he does not want to rush through it, as it is a blockbuster film’s sequel and there are high expectations on it. So, Jailer 2 will not be released in 2025.

Nelson is said to be making the film on a higher level. Now the film’s release plans are said to be shifted to summer 2026. That means only one Rajinikanth’s film will be released in 2025 which is Coolie, and it will be released in Summer 2025.

Manchu Manoj has been hospitalized. Actor Manchu Manoj was admitted in the Banjara Hills Hospital, and he arrived at the hospital with his wife. He is being treated in the emergency ward. According to the reports, Manoj claims that he was attacked by the school staff of his father, Manchu Mohan Babu.

Earlier today, there was a shocking news about Mohan Babu’s family. It was said that Manchu Manoj had complained to the police that he was beaten up by his father. After that, Mohan Babu also filed a complaint against his son alleging that it was Manoj who assaulted him. But later, Mohan Babu claimed that all these are false reports and requested everyone to not to believe in this.

What’s Happening with Prasanth Varma? This is the question that is the discussion point in the Telugu film industry and movie lovers. Prasanth Varma scored a blockbuster success with Hanuman, which was released in 2024 January and emerged as a big brand. But he has always been in the news for some wrong news. At the release time of Hanuman,  Prashanth Varma a made lot of satirical comments on another film, Guntur Kaaram, which was released in competition with HanuMan.

It was not a regular thing in the industry and received mixed response. After the huge success of HanuMan, he announced the sequel, Jai Hanuman, which was supposed to happen with the same producers of HanUMan, Prime Show Entertainments Banner. However, due to some issues, the film moved to Mythri Movie Makers. Later he planned a film with Ranveer Singh, and a test shoot was also done but it got shelved immediately.

Later Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna’s debut film was announced with the Prashanth but now it is on hold. Both sides have their own reasons but the buzz in the industry is that the movie is shelved. Pushpa 2 is witnessing a stunning performance in Tamil Nadu. The film is also poised for a 40 crore weekend in the Tamil version. The real test will begin from tomorrow as the film must maintain a strong momentum to have one more good weekend. The breakeven is valued at more than 100 crores there. So, Pushpa 2 needs a long run in Tamil Nadu badly.

Meanwhile in Kerala, Pushpa 2 remained very weak surprising all. Kerala always supported Allu Arjun’s films in the past and he became very popular there as well. But the film is expected to only a 14 crore after the end of the weekend. The breakeven target is at 60 crores and achieving a 40% recovery seems too challenging there for the film.

Pushpa 2 may end up as a disaster in Kerala and this will definitely shock both Allu Arjun and the team. The reason for the film’s underperformance is also attributed to the improper characterisation of Fahadh Faasil. There are many trolls against the Actor for agreeing to do this role as well. Pushpa 2 is however rocking in the Hindi belt with its dominance. It is also speculated to beat the 600 crore record held by Stree 2.

Pushpa 2: 100 Minutes Footage Trimmed

A 100 minute footage was trimmed from Pushpa 2. Since the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the audiences have discussed a lot of the film’s length and the ending of the movie being a bit abrupt. Especially, whoever watched the the film was unclear about Japan’s fight as there was no lead for that sequence in the film. But, it is being reported that Sukumar had shot a lot of scenes and many scenes from the film were trimmed during the final cut, including the scenes of Shekhawat. 

There is a buzz that a 100 minute footage has been trimmed before the censor, and the final censored runtime itself came to 200 minutes. So, if the trimming did not happen, Pushpa 2 itself would have been a two part film. As of now, Sukumar is not in the mood to stretch the Pushpa series as of now. But we need to see how things unfold later. Then trimmed footage can be used for Pushpa 3 but its all up to Sukumar’s decision.

Sukumar and Allu Arjun have put 6 years into the Pushpa series and finally came out of it with Pushpa 2’s release. We need to wait and see whether they continue with Pushpa or not.
