Pushpa 2 makers perfectly predict the Hindi Rampage. From the beginning stage itself, Pushpa 2 was said to be a film that would target Hindi audiences and the team expected a 1000 Cr gross collection from the Hindi version alone before releasing itself. They informed the close circles, and when the news came out, everyone thought about how it would be possible because till now only two films: Pathaan and Jawan have collected more than 1000 Cr gross in Hindi.

With no other film in that range, everyone thought the producers of Pushpa 2: The Rule were overestimating their film’s reach. But now Pushpa 2 is on track for a 1,000-cr gross collection from the Hindi version alone. Pushpa 2’s makers perfectly predicted the Hindi Rampage.

For the first weekend, the Hindi version alone has collected more than 350 Cr gross worldwide, and today’s advances are extraordinary. The trade is expecting a 40 Cr net in India alone for the Hindi version. Pushpa 2 is on track for 700 Cr net in India alone, and with this, 1000 Cr gross will be easily achieved in the Hindi version.

Pushpa 2 had a record-breaking weekend in Hindi, and a good one in Telugu, Tamil, and Karnataka. Kerala was the only market which disappointed with disastrous collections for this Allu Arjun-Rashmika starter. The film registered record-breaking collections worldwide after the 1st weekend.

On its first day, this Sukumar film collected 280 Cr gross. The 2nd day brought in 135 Cr while Day 3 saw 165 Cr. The final day of the weekend brought a spike in collections with 185 Cr gross. The total worldwide collections for 4 days stands at Rs 765 Cr gross.

These are record breaking collections for an Indian film. Pushpa 2 is set to cross the 1000 Cr mark this week and will soon become the fastest film to achieve the Rs 1000 Cr mark. It is also on track to chase Baahubali 2 thanks to the sensational response from the Hindi market. The pan-India sequel has recorded good advances in Hindi even today.

Maharaja Set to Beat Baahubali 2 in China

China has mostly been quite a profitable market for Indian films. Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja has now been released there hoping to create history. Many North Indian films, in particular, have succeeded in China. Surprisingly, South Indian films, including Baahubali2, have failed to work in China.

Baahubali 2 collected around $12M in China which is good but pretty low if we consider the release costs and the opening it received. The film opened pretty well but couldn’t sustain that momentum.

Finally, Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja has managed to crack the Chinese market and end the drought for South Indian films. The film has posted bigger numbers in 2nd weekend than 1st weekend and is looking forward to a solid run at the Box office. Here’s the detailed breakup of 10 days of collections.

Sandhya Theater owner arrested in Revathi’s death case. On December 4, an unfortunate incident occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2. A massive crowd had gathered, and the situation went out of control, resulting in a tragic stampede that claimed the life of a  35-year-old woman and left her 13-year-old son injured. The latest news is that the police arrested three individuals on Sunday, December 8.

Sandhya theatre owner, security manager, and theatre manager, a total of three persons were arrested in the Pushpa 2 stampede case. According to the police, Revathi died due to a lack of proper security measures. The netizens are currently discussing the topic that the Sandhya Theater owner was arrested in Revathi’s death case.

They have been charged with negligence in implementing proper security measures. The stampede reportedly occurred as a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, which led to chaos due to insufficient crowd control.
