Lavanya Tripathi’s new film Titled ‘Sathi Leelavathi’

Actress Lavanya Tripathi, who has carved a unique identity for herself with versatile roles, is set to star in the upcoming film ‘Sathi Leelavathi’. This project, the first production under the banners of Durga Devi Pictures and Trio Studios, marks a joint collaboration between the two production houses. The film will be directed by Tatineni Satya, known for diverse films like Natural star Nani’s Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu, S.M.S (Shiva Manasulo Shruthi). The movie is being produced by Nagamohan Babu M., Rajesh T. On Sunday (December 15), on the occasion of Lavanya Tripathi’s birthday, the film’s title was announced by the team, along with birthday wishes for her.

With ‘Sathi Leelavathi’, Lavanya Tripathi is set to impress once again by taking on a different role in an exciting storyline. The movie’s shooting is slated to begin soon. The producers have announced that more details about the project will be revealed shortly.

Mickey J. Meyer is composing the music for the film, while Binendra Menon is handling the cinematography. Dialogues are being penned by Uday Pottipadu, with Kosanam Vittal serving as the art director and Satish Suriya taking charge as the editor.

Worldwide, the movie will touch the 1250 Cr mark today ensuring it achieves yet another massive milestone. Pushpa 2 will be crossing RRR and KGF 2 collections. Both these films had done around 1200 crores at the box office during their initial worldwide release and by today’s end, Pushpa 2 will cross both films.

After crossing RRR and KGF 2, now the mission for this Sukumar film is to cross the record of Baahubali 2. It will be interesting to see if this Allu Arjun film can beat Prabhas’ Baahubali2 which did 1700 Cr+ lifetime collections.

Spirit: Lead Actresses Finalised

The expectations for Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit are extremely high and the maverick director has promised that Prabhas’ characterization will be something never seen before.

In an interview earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga spilled beans on his plans for Spirit and Prabhas’ characterization. The director revealed that the film is about character & soul it’s about a sincere police cop played by Prabhas.

Ever since the movie was announced, there have been heavy speculations on who would be the lead actress. After months of anticipation, finally, the suspense has been lifted.

Kareena Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have been reportedly finalized as lead actresses for Spirit. Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan, who earlier worked with Prabhas in Adipurush is in talks for another crucial role.

Producer Bhushan Kumar has confirmed that Vanga is diligently working on the script, aiming for a compelling storyline. Kumar revealed that Spirit is set to go on floors in early 2025, with a grand muhurat launch event planned for December.

Harikatha Web Series Review – A Routine Revenge Drama with an Interesting Setup

Story:

The web series’ story is set in a tribal village near Araku in the 1980-1990 period. In a murder case, a boy from a lower caste named Das (Suman) is imprisoned. Under his Rangachari Nataka Mandali, a Harikatha artist named Rangachari (Rajendra Prasad) tells the story of Lord Vishnu’s avatars. Suspicious and violent killings occur whenever Rangachari assumes a specific Vishnu avatar as a part of his play. The locals firmly believe that these murders are the work of God, in all of his guises. However, Virat (Sriram), a police officer, suspects Rangachari. Who is responsible for these murders as well as the passing of Bharat, Virat’s friend, and the local SI? To solve the puzzle and learn about Rangachari’s tragedy, watch Harikatha.

Performances:

Rajendra Prasad does justice to the character and adds value to it. Sriram also does a good job, while Pujitha Ponnada and Divi Vadthya could not impress much because of weak characterizations. Suman, Bigg Boss Fame Arjun Ambati, and the actors who played the villainous characters were good. 

Analysis:

Director Maggi tried to tell an age-old revenge story with an interesting backdrop of stage play and God’s connection. The core seems very interesting, and it could have given a whole new dimension to the revenge angle. However, the narration does not live up to the expectations. The characters are introduced ordinarily, and the twists are also not great. One can easily guess the backstory or the reason behind the killings. There are some thrilling scenes in the initial stage, but once the suspense is revealed, a standard display of emotions follows. The viewers will never feel the impact of the proceedings because of the routine taken, except for a few moments.

Harikatha Web Series Review and Verdict:

Harikatha Web Series is a routine revenge drama with an interesting setup. Though the concept is exciting, and a few scenes work well along with the performances of Rajendra Prasad and Sriram, the weak narration and backstory work against it.
