Rashmika confirmed in Cocktail 2

Rashmika who is enjoying a dominating presence in Tollywood has now been confirmed in Cocktail 2 opposite Shahid Kapoor. The Actress is already riding high with the blockbuster success of Pushpa 2. This confirmation will further lay a strong path for her in Bollywood after her previous blockbuster Animal. One more Actress is also said to come on-board for Cocktail 2.

Rashmika has already grabbed a Bollywood biggie in the form of Sikandar starring Salman Khan apart from Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal which has completed its shoot. Cocktail 2 will offer her the romantic breeze with Shahid Kapoor who tasted a success in the form of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya this year. It is also speculated that Kriti Sanon was chosen to play the other female role in Cocktail 2.

Apart from these, Rashmika has Kubera co-starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna which is aimed for release in March 2025. Her solo film, The Girlfriend‘s glimpse has also been released recently. With all these in her pocket, Rashmika surely looks to go big in the coming years.

Indian 3 will release only in theatres: Shankar

Director Shankar sustained a big debacle this year in the form of Indian 2. The film became one of the biggest disasters of Kollywood to everyone’s shock. The usual plans of Indian 3 have been disturbed with this result with the makers opting for a direct OTT release. But now Shankar has confirmed that Indian 3 will release only in the theatres putting rest to all the speculative news.

Shankar said that he didn’t expect negative reviews for Indian 2 after the release. He also added saying that he didn’t take it to heart and concentrated on Game Changer which he felt that had come out very well. The Director also confirmed the release of Indian 3 to happen only in theatres but not on the OTT. However, he didn’t say when the shoot of Indian 3 would begin.

Game Changer is all set for release on 10th January next year as a Sankranthi bonanza. The team expects nothing short of a blockbuster. The pre-release event is all set to take place soon in USA.

It is widely known that actress Keerthy Suresh got married on the 12th of December in Hindu tradition and while it was organized in Christian tradition on the 15th.  Keerthy married Antony Thattil, an entrepreneur based in Dubai. Recently, the cast of Baby John, including Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the film’s co-producer, Atlee, appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Varun Dhawan’s Baby John is all set to hit theatres on December 25. The film, directed by Kalees, and produced by Atlee, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Theri.

SJ Suryah and Priyanka Mohan team up with Dulquer Salmaan

SJ Suryah and Priyanka Mohan will team up with Dulquer Salmaan. Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman is famous in all the industries of South Indian Cinema. He has worked in straight Tamil and Telugu films, along with a few Hindi films as well. Recently, he scored a good hit with Lucky Bashkar in Telugu, and the updates about his next film are making his fans excited to the sky.

Reportedly, Dulquer will work with RDX fame director Nahas Hidayath for his next Malayalam movie, which is also his 40th outing in the Malayalam film industry. This news has excited the fans of the actor and other audiences as well because the director’s last film was a stunning film hit. RDX was released as a small movie, but it went on to become a big blockbuster at the box office.

The film will be made as an action drama against a fantasy backdrop and currently, the team is hunting the locations for the shoot. SJ Suryah and Priyanka Mohan will team up with Dulquer Salmaan for this film. Wayfarer Films, the own production house of Dulquer, will back this film.

Pushpa 2 : Two Weeks Worldwide Gross Collection

Pushpa 2 is continuing its strong run at the box-office and acheiveing one milestone after another. This Allu Arjun and Rashmika starrer collected 965 Cr gross worldwide in 1st week. After the 2nd weekend this figure went up to 1230 Cr. From Day12 to Day 14 the film added another 85 Cr gross worldwide taking the total gross to 1315 Cr worldwide after two weeks.

Interestingly, from day 11 to day 14 just the Hindi version contributed 80% of numbers and it is expected to go on same levels with Christmas and New Year approaching. In Hindi, the film is rewriting the records but down South, it is not good as North performance. But if we take an overall look, the figures are terrific.

At this pace, a 1600 Cr+ full run is guaranteed. But if the film witnesses big jumps on weekends and Christmas and New year day, then it can even touch Baahubali 2 (1700 Cr+)

Is The Raja Saab Worth the Wait?

When a film was announced in Prabhas and Maruthi combo, everyone expected it will be a quick project and will be wrapped up pretty soon. The shooting started in end of 2022 and it was expected that the film will release in 2023. But now even 2024 has come to an end and forget about the film, there’s no sign of even the teaser.

The makers recently confirmed the teaser is not coming for Christmas or New Year. The film has also been postponed from April 2025 and is likely to release by 2025 end. The Raja Saab started in 2022 end and is arriving in theatres in 2025 end which means 3 years of time which is equivalent to massive budget pan Indian films.

VFX is the main reason behind these delays. The team is taking a lot of time to deliver output. This delay was still understandable if there were budget constraints. But this is a Prabhas film and there are no restrictions on budget. These delays and slowly reducing anticipation has now created a big task for Maruthi. He now needs to show the The Raja Saab world in an extraordinary way or else it will impact to the business and film as well.

#Karthi29 is a periodical movie

Kollywood Actor, Karthi has lined up a film directed by newcomer Tamizh. The film, tentatively titled #Karthi29 is said to be a periodical movie in the backdrop of 1960s in Rameshwaram. It is also speculated that the film revolves around gangsters in the region. The film has already been launched and will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.

A concept poster of the film was released where a ship was shown sailing over the sea. The film will also be made on a large scale budget considering the span of the film. The other details of the cast and crew are yet to come out. #Karthi29 is planned as a 2025 release by the makers.

Karthi has recently witnessed a decent performer Meiyazhagan/Satyam Sundaram at the box office. He has already linedup Vaa Vaathiyaar and Sardaar 2 apart from Karthi 29. However, his recent cameo made film, Kanguva became a big disaster at the box office. Karthi appeared in the end of the film as the antagonist for Kanguva 2. But it needs to be seen if the film will be taken up due to the failing result.

Prabhas promotes Kalki 2898 AD ahead of its release in Japan

Kalki 2898 AD, the recent blockbuster of Prabhas is gearing up for its Japan release on the 3rd of January next year. The Actor has also released a promotional video today where he spoke about Kalki 2898 AD and also appealed the Japanese Audience to offer their love as they always did for his previous films. This video has gone viral on social media platforms.

Director of the film, Nag Ashwin has already been in Japan promoting the film in many events. He even shared the images and videos of his visit to the fans and audience there. The team expects to register a big hit in Japan to make it a worldwide sensation just as Prabhas’ previous blockbuster, Baahubali series.

Prabhas has also stated that he was unable to make it to the promotional activities due to a sprain he suffered in the making of his untitled film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. He also said that he misses meeting the fans and audience there. Kalki 2898 AD has grossed more than 1000 crores worldwide and the team expects to add more to the box office number with Japan’s support.

Dhanush’s Idly Kadai release date locked

Dhanush after the blockbuster success of his directorial Raayan putforth his next venture, Idly Kadai starring himself in the lead role. Nithya Menen will be playing the female lead role in the film making it her second collaboration with the Actor after their Thiruchitrambalam. The release date of Idly Kadai has also been locked by the makers.

Idly Kadai will release on 10th April as a Summer bonanza. The shoot of the film is also taking place currently. It is also co-produced by Aakash Baskaran under his Dawn Pictures alongwith Dhanush. G.V. Prakash Kumar is on-board the film as the Music Composer. The summer release date may invite a clash with another film, Suriya44 directed by Karthik Subbaraj which is also currently under shoot.

Dhanush has also linedup his other film, Kubera directed by Sekhar Kammula for release in March next year. And now with Idly Kadai deciding its release date in April, we need to see how both films see a release within a month of gap. This most likely may not be possible and we have to see any of the films getting postponed from this fixed dates.

Salaar creates a sensation on Hotstar. The pan-Indian action drama directed by Prashant Neel and led by Prabhas received a stunning response from the Hindi OTT audiences. The production of the film, Hombale Films took to their official social media account and shared that Salaar has been trending continuously on Hotstar for 300 days since its arrival on the platform.

This is a big achievement by the film as trending nonstop for 300 days is not a small thing. It also indicates the buzz and hype the film has among the north Indian audiences. Also, the film was a big success in Telugu and other South versions on another OTT platform, Netflix. Salaar creates a sensation on Hotstar.

The story of ‘Salaar: Part One—Ceasefire’ takes place in the imaginary dystopian city-state of Khansaar and focuses on the bond between Deva (Prabhas) and Varadha Raja Mannar (Prithviraj). The first part ended on a thrilling note because of the revelation of Deva’s real identity.
