The Malayalam film industry has always been driven by content – oriented films over the stardom. That is the reason sometimes bigger star Heroes films will not even get the opening if the content is bad, and small films which have good content will post huge numbers at the box office. Now a small film RDX, which was released on August 25th worked so big at the box office because of positive talk and reviews which helped the film join the 50Cr gross club in Kerala.

Made as an action entertainer, “RDX” marked a historic milestone in Malayalam cinema. The film has broken records by reaching the 50 crore gross collection mark at the Kerala Box Office. “RDX” has become the second non-manual Malayalam film to achieve this prestigious benchmark.

RDX has become the seventh film in Kerala box office history to join the exclusive 50+ crore grosser club. It will be the fourth film if only Mollywood films are considered. The Kerala Box Office’s 50+ crore grossers list includes some of the most prominent names in Indian cinema. ‘RDX’ has established itself as one of them.
