Akbaruddin Owaisi shocking comments on Allu Arjun

Noted Politician Akbaruddin Owaisi has made shocking comments on Tollywood Actor Allu Arjun in the Telangana Assembly sessions today. The MLA said that the Actor had knowledge of the death of the lady while he was watching the Premiere show of his latest film, Pushpa 2. He also made shocking accusation that the Actor didn’t bother about the death of the lady and exhibited confidence of victory for the film with the happening of the incident.

These comments of Akbaruddin Owaisi came as a shocker to all. He wanted to tell people that Allu Arjun didn’t feel sad for the incident and enjoyed watching the film in the theatre. He also said that he walked away only when Police threatened him to arrest at the moment itself if their request was not considered.

CM Revanth Reddy too made similar comments against the Actor accusing him and other Tollywood celebrities not showing responsibility and dignity towards the death of a lady. He even made it sure that he wouldn’t allow any benifit shows or ticket hikes for any films anymore.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has come strongly against Actor Allu Arjun today in the Assembly sessions. The CM said that the Actor was not bothered about the death of a lady that happened during the Premiere show screening of his latest film, Pushpa 2. Reddy has also fired on Tollywood and many celebrities who came forward to stand by Allu Arjun in the episode of arrest and release later by the Police.

Revanth Reddy took objection to the behaviour of Allu Arjun coming to the theatre as part of a campaign. He felt that the stampede happened due to this and also resulted in the death of the lady. He took a jibe at the Actor questioning if he had lost any leg or eye to have been consoled by the other Tollywood Celebrities. By inferring this, he opined that Tollywood celebrities lack any human insight over the death of a lady.

These words came as a shocker to the entire Film Industry. The CM also said that no more films would be granted the permission of benefit shows or any ticket hikes henforth. No celebrity hasn’t responded yet about his comments till now. Let’s wait and see.

Pushpa 2 Hindi gross storms past 800 crores

Pushpa 2 rampage is big and unstoppable. The film also showed its potential in the Hindi belt riding with its mass appeal and raw film making. Likewise, it is doing extremely well there. The film also managed to rake in more than 10 crores Nett in India alone yesterday. Overall, till the 3rd friday, Pushpa 2 has collected 575 crores Nett in Hindi version in India and the overseas contributed another 100 crores gross taking the total worldwide collections to more than 800 crores.

The film is also set to cross the 1000 crore club with the Hindi version alone. Till now, only Pathaan and Jawan have collected more than 1000 crores in the Hindi version worldwide. Now, Pushpa 2 will also be joining the club soon. If Pushpa 2 continues to do well till the January month next year, it can very well overtake Jawan in the Hindi version numbers.

On the other hand, Pushpa 2 will have a clash with Baby John which is releasing on Christmas. The film is also having a big hype and we need to see how it affects the prospects of Pushpa 2 in Hindi version. There is also a fight happening over the screen sharing for both these films.

No More Benefit Shows and Ticket Hikes in Telangana, according to the Telangana Government. Recently, Revathi, a woman, was killed in a stampede near Sandhya Theatre during the premiere show of Pushpa 2. Her son Sreetej is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Allu Arjun was arrested by the Police but he was out on bail on December 13, 2024. In this context, CM Revanth Reddy fired on the star and Telugu Film Industry in the Assembly over the Sandhya Theatre incident.

Revanth Reddy said that the Sandhya theatre stampede took place due to Allu Arjun. The entry and the exit in the theatre are the same, and despite the police’s request, Allu Arjun came to the theater.  According to his words, after the stampede, DCP came to the theater and asked Allu Arjun to leave. However, the Pushpa 2 actor again went with the car roof being opened and greeting the fans. The CM stated a woman named Revathi was killed in the stampede and her son, is in a coma for which Allu Arjun is solely responsible.

He was also surprised that on the other hand, the entire film industry queued up to meet Allu Arjun. but no one met the boy and his family. The Telangana Chief Minister stated that their government helped the Telugu Film industry by allowing special privileges like special shows to support it. But if anyone takes people’s lives they do not sit and watch. Meanwhile, Telangana Cinematography Minister Komati Venkata Reddy announced that there will be no more Benefit Shows and Ticket Hikes in Telangana from now on.

Tamil people claim Bollywood targets Atlee

Kollywood Director, Atlee rose to fame in Bollywood with his Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film became a biggest blockbuster grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide also cementing Atlee as a demandful director there. He has also lined up one of his films starring Salman Khan for this reason therefore. But it seems that Tamil people believe Bollywood has targeted Atlee in a way.

Baby John, the latest production of Atlee is releasing for this Christmas and there is an issue regarding the film of about not getting good number of screens. The outright dominance of Pushpa 2 at the box office is also perceived as one of the reasons for this. But Tamil people and Kollywood lovers believe that Bollywood doesn’t want to see Atlee doing big there and intentionally pulling him down.

But this looks like the Distributors are for Pushpa 2 which is still continuing its rampage. They expect the film to put more numbers for the Christams and New Year holiday periods. We need to see how Baby John will be accommodated in this tight scenario of screen sharing.

Vidudhala 2 and UI Open Strong in Homelands

This week’s two releases, Vidhudhala 2 and UI, have made solid buzz before their release. Strong promotions in other states and the presence of a strong star cast and directors have led to both these films’ release to good numbers.

Directed by Vettrimaran and starring Vijay Sethupathi, Soori, and Manju Warrier in key roles, Vidudhala2 received good reviews in Tamil. On Day 1, the film saw a good jump in the evening and night shows. Overall, the film registered an opening of 7 Cr in Tamil Nadu, which is a good start.

Upendra’s UI recorded a good start in Kannada. While the film was released to mixed reviews, the strong collections across Karnataka helped the film massively. It registered an opening gross collection of Rs 6.5 crores in Karnataka.

Incidentally, both films failed to make decent collections in Telugu. Vidudhala 2 and UI were both promoted heavily in Telugu states but the opening day numbers are very low for the Telugu versions.

Jailer 2 is all set for Action. In 2023, Superstar Rajinikanth enthralled everyone with his majestic performance as Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer. Directed by Nelson, the film was huge blockbuster at the box office. The film’s sequel was unofficially announced and the first look/glimpse was set to be released on Rajinikanth’s birthday 

However, due to a delay in promo editing, it was pushed to January. The inside reports suggest that Jailer 2 is all set for Action now as the promo is ready. Also, the entire script, cast, and crew are also finalized. Reportedly, Nelson and his team going on a location hunt for the film.

The formal official announcement of Jailr 2 will be done with a glimpse in January and the shoot will start in March 2025, targeting April / May 2026 Release. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will wrap the Coolie shoot in this gap, which is scheduled for 1st May 2025 release.

Recent rumors suggested that Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ would hit OTT platforms on January 9. However, the makers have firmly denied these claims, confirming that the film will remain a theatrical exclusive for at least 56 days after its release. Mythri Movie Makers clarified the rumours about Puspha ott through their official X handle.

Their statement read: “There are rumours floating around about the OTT release of #Pushpa2TheRule. Enjoy the Biggest Film #Pushpa2 only on the Big Screens in this Biggest Holiday Season. It won’t be on any OTT before 56 days! It’s #WildFirePushpa only in Theatres Worldwide.”

The film, directed by Sukumar, has shattered records since its release.  Globally, The film collected in the range of 1400 crore worldwide till now and heading towards all time biggest. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ delves into the life of red sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj and his intense rivalry with police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, portrayed by Fahadh Faasil. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, Pushpa’s wife.

Released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali, the film has captivated audiences worldwide with its gripping story and powerhouse performances.
