Viduthalai 2 Two Days Box Office Collections

Vettrimaran’s Viduthalai 2 was released yesterday to favourable reviews and word of mouth from the audience. The crime thriller is doing well in Tamil Nadu and has collected 7.6 Cr gross on opening day. On its second day, Viduthalai 2 collected around 8 Cr .

Unfortunately, the same is not the story in Telugu states. The movie is not performing well in this region and the two-day’s gross is in the range of 1Cr. Overall across India, Viduthalai 2 has collected around 20 Cr, and worldwide it has done a business of around Rs 27 Cr gross. The film is set for a 40-crore weekend worldwide.

In Tamil Nadu, the film will be aiming to hit a double-digit gross today and there is a good chance for the film to make a big jump. The film features Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Manju Warrier in key roles while Ilaiyaraja has composed the tunes for Vettrimaran’s sequel of his 2023 film.

Promising Advances for Ram Charan’s Game Changer in America

Ram Charan’s Game Changer is trending on a promising note in America. The advance bookings for premieres have crossed the $200K mark in America, with 20 more days to go before the release. The bookings have yet to open in many chains.

Game Changer is expected to take $2 million in premiere numbers. The breakeven for the Americas region is valued at around $4.5M, so a 1.5M+ opening is a very good opening for the film. With positive word of mouth, this Shankar film can achieve breakeven in the first week itself.

The UK advance bookings have also started on a strong note. The overseas market is extremely critical for the film hence the movie team is planning extensive promotions. The team conducted a pre-release event in America which was a big success and a houseful event.

The film is slated for release on 10th January worldwide. Game Changer marks the return of Director Shankar to his favourite genre of political thrillers. He is looking to make a strong comeback after a miserable disaster in the form of Indian 2 this year.

Allu Arjun’s press meet is unnecessary

Allu Arjun called for a press meet today where he addressed about the comments made by Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy and several others against him. Everyone felt that he would strongly counter these alleged accusations but Allu Arjun appeared calm and didn’t present a solid reply. This made the press meet unnecessary and it would have been better if had released a press note instead.

Allu Arjun felt very nervous while speaking at the press meet and quoted that he left the theatre instantly when he was passed the order to leave the theatre. But there have been videos on the social media platforms where he was seen watching the film till the Jathara episode which comes in the second half. He also said that he didn’t celebrate the success of the film. But on the contrary, he alongwith Director Sukumar had a small party where crackers were also blasted.

The Telugu success meet happened as well alongwith the Delhi success meet where he himself was present. So, Allu Arjun statements now add as confusion to the already deteriorated situation. For all these reasons, it appeared non sync and could have been good if he avoided this completely.

Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy mocked Pushpa 2 saying that he found the film funny after watching it. The Minister made these comments when he made a visit to the boy who was hospitalised after the stampede incident that occurred during the Premiere screening of Pushpa 2. Reddy also confirmed that ticket hikes wouldn’t be allowed anymore.

The Minister said that ticket hikes would be allowed only for few films which are made on social-elements and the history of kings. He also added saying that no films other than these categories would be granted hiked ticket prices. These words are truly a shocker for the whole of Tollywood. The genre of films that the Minister mentioned have long been discontinued in Tollywood and the current films are all made as a Pan-India commercial flicks.

This will also be a big blow to the upcoming films. On the other hand, The Minister also opined watching Pushpa 2 was a waste of time for him and also felt that it was of no use to anyone. The targeting of Pushpa 2 by the Telangana Ministers and Government became quite evident with these comments further.

Allu Arjun reacts to the allegations of Telangana Govt. It is widely known that Tollywood star hero Allu Arjun has been stuck in a controversy because of an unfortunate incident that happened at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2. Revathi, a woman died due to suffocation during the stampede on December 4.

The actor was arrested by the police after a few days and he also received interim bail from the high court for 4 weeks. Meanwhile, earlier today, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy fired on Allu Arjun and stated that he was solely responsible for Revathi’s death and her son, Sritej’s critical condition. The CM made a lot of comments on Allu Arjun and the actor arranged a press meet lately and answered them indirectly. The Pushpa 2 actor said he was hurt because of the accusations that he behaved rudely, and felt that his personality was being insulted.

Noted Politician Akbaruddin Owaisi has made shocking comments on Tollywood Actor Allu Arjun by stating that he did not care about a woman’s death and spoke about the film’s success in such a critical situation. But Allu Arjun, without mentioning the name of anyone, said that he has been at home for 15 days. and canceled all functions related to the movie because he felt sad about the unfortunate death of Revathi but still people are spreading wrong information about him. He also said that no police officer came to him during the premier show of Pushpa 2 and informed ahim bout the situation. It was someone from his management team said to him that there was overcrowding at the theater’s premises and it would be better for him to leave from there.

“Everything I worked for over the last twenty years was lost in a single night,” said Allu Arjun. He mentioned that what happened on December 4th night at the Sandhya Theater was an unfortunate accident and nobody is to be blamed for the incident. 

Allu Arjun also said that he did not meet Revathi’s family because his team/family warned him that his visit might create chaos at the hospital. Also, because of legal issues, he refused to visit Revathi’s family members and that is why he sent his father Allu Arvind who took special permission to meet the family. The actor also said that he did not know about the permission issues during the premiere show and he believed theater management sought the permission as he saw the police making the arrangements at the theater premises, he thought that everything was okay.

Dhanush’s Ilaiyaraaja biopic postponed

Kollywood Actor Dhanush came on board as the lead Actor for the biopic of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. The film was announced officially long ago and was also expected to go on sets in 2025. But it is now learnt that commencement of the shoot might take much time indicating a postponement with Dhanush’s busy schedule.

The Biopic is now expected to go on floors only in 2026 and the release will also happen in 2027. Dhanush is currently busy with his Kubera co-starring Nagarjuna, Idly Kadai directed by himself and the recent Hollywood film he signed. With all these in place, he may find it too difficult to work on Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic. However, the pre-production work of the film will follow without fail.

Coming to Kubera, the film is expected to release in March next year. The film is also in the final leg of its shoot. The trailer and other updates regarding the film will be released soon. So, let’s wait and see.

The director has already committed to do a film with NTR which will go on to the sets next year, but his fans eagerly wait for the next films in KGF and Salaar Franchises.

Tollywood under fire for post-tragedy behaviour

The stampede incident that resulted during the Premiere show of Pushpa 2 in the death of a lady and her son getting hospitalised became a serious issue recently. Police and the Government of Telangana initiated action against the theatre management and also booked Actor Allu Arjun who was later jailed as well in the issue. After releasing from the jail, Allu Arjun was flocked by many Tollywood celebrities at his home who consoled him. This has now become a major issue.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy came down heavily against Allu Arjun and other Tollywood celebrities who paid visit to his home right after his release citing that they lacked responsibility and humanity. He felt that why there was so much of outrage against the Government and Police from the side of the celebrities to have made them stand by the Actor.

But it is very well known that all the celebrities or a section of people didn’t like the way how Allu Arjun was home lifted to the jail by the Police and the Government. Many people also felt that due procedure was not followed with Allu Arjun in his arrest episode which was also pointed out by the court granting him bail. So, we need to see how far this issue goes.
