Devara starring NTR is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood. The film is all set for release on 27th September worldwide. Devara makers want to screen the midnight shows across all the territories in India. They also want Indian shows and overseas shows to start at the same time. But distributors feel that these midnight shows will be too risky.
Recent films which had the same kind of midnight shows didn’t perform well. So the distributors are worrying about this decision. They want the shows to start at atleast 5 AM in the early morning. This feels proper as well. Industry circles also believe that midnight shows are of no use and favour only 10% of films and the other percentage of films get a negative talk. This negative talk further kills the film’s prospects later.
Anirudh Ravichander stands currently as the top Music Director among the South Indian Film Industries. His tunes become chartbusters and bring on much hype for the film before the release. But in the recent times, Anirudh’s music has become a bit non sync with the actual theme of a film. His usual style of stylish composition is spoiling the films.
Apart from this, he is also facing copy allegations surprisingly. The songs he composed for Devara seemed to have been re-worked from his previous compositions. He did this again for Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth now. The Hunter Vantaar song from Vettaiyan has been released and it already attracted much criticism from netizens of being a copy version of his previous compositions. The song was again stylish not matching to the actual theme of Vettaiyan.
The BGM he score for the Prevue of Vettaiyan too appeared the same. The visuals are not in sync with the stylish mix scored by Anirudh. If this continues for a long time then definitely he has to carry a monotony tag over his head. Mass films and intense violence related films require different kind of compositons not stylish regular music of Anirudh. He needs to understand this.
The Telugu teaser of Vedhika starrer suspense thriller ‘Fear’ was launched by Rana Daggubati earlier today. Produced by AR Abhi under the Dattatreya Media banner and co-produced by Sujatha Reddy, this suspense thriller is Directed by Dr. Haritha Gogineni with Arvind Krishna starring in a special role.
Remarkably, Fear has already won over 60 awards at various prestigious international film festivals before its release. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release soon.
The Tamil teaser was unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi, the Kannada teaser by Kichcha Sudeep, the Malayalam teaser by Dileep, and the Hindi teaser by Emraan Hashmi, all through social media. Following this, the Fear teaser release event took place at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad.
Actress Inaya Sultana commented during the event, “The teaser for Fear is genuinely scary, and I loved it. This movie has already garnered awards at many international film festivals, and I believe even more will come after its release. Having seen the film, I can confidently say that Director Haritha has crafted it with great talent.”
Actor Meka Ramakrishna stated, “Director Haritha offered me a significant role in Fear. I’m also set to act in a film directed by Abhi next. We hope to create more films and provide opportunities for talented individuals. We request our media friends to help bring a remarkable movie like Fear to the audience.”
Actress Sahithi remarked, “Haritha has brilliantly directed this psychological thriller. If the teaser gave you chills, just wait for the trailer—it will be even scarier. I’m sure you will enjoy the film.”
Speaking about the film, Anish Kuruvilla expressed joy and said, “Today is a special day for our director Haritha. I understand the emotions a new director feels when presenting their first film to the audience. You will soon witness Haritha’s talent as a director through Fear. She has developed a unique script for this project, and I wish the film great success.”
Music director Anup Rubens shared his thoughts: “I wish all the best to Haritha, a first-time director, and to Abhi, a first-time producer. Haritha is dedicated and ensures she achieves the desired output. Vedhika is a fantastic actress, and I was truly impressed by her performance while scoring the background music for this film. Arvind Krishna has also played a significant role. I hope this film brings recognition to our entire team.”
Praising producer AR, he said, “I enjoy commercial films, but Haritha’s suspense thriller captivated me. I believed that someone who can scare me at home will undoubtedly frighten the audience with Fear. There are four key elements to remember while watching this movie: Vedika’s performance, Haritha’s script, Anup’s music, and I Andrew’s visuals—all of which are highly impressive. Haritha made a great decision as a director in selecting this venue. She is not only beautiful but also delivers an amazing performance. Arvind Krishna has contributed significantly as well. The entire team has been very supportive, and I hope you will support Fear just as you did our first film, Lucky Lakshman.”
Director Dr. Haritha Gogineni said: “I have established five checkpoints for the heroine in the movie Fear, and Vedhika is more than capable of fulfilling them. I believe everyone will enjoy her stage performance. However, I must acknowledge that Anup Rubens dominates both as a music director and on stage as an actress. Our film has received awards at many prestigious international film festivals. When I shared this with my brother, he asked how many of those awards were purchased. It’s unfortunate that some people think this way, but these are genuine international film festivals, and such doubts are unfounded. I felt immense pride seeing India’s name on that list, more than all the awards our film has won.”
She added, “The story of Fear revolves around what happens when a girl faces unexpected situations that scare her in life. I want you to enjoy this movie in theaters, which is why I won’t reveal too much. We plan to release the film theatrically next month. It will be suitable for both theaters and OTT platforms, but to truly experience the suspense of the screenplay—visually and musically—you must watch it in theaters. We hope you all will support our film.”
Hero Arvind Krishna stated: “The movie Fear provided me with a fantastic experience. I received the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Rome Film Festival for my performance in this film, and I’m thrilled to share the screen with Vedika. Her dedication is inspiring and shows how hard one must work for a role. Our director Haritha is incredibly committed to this project. I’d like to thank producer Abhi and the entire cast and crew, who all worked together as a team, regardless of their roles. More details about Fear will be revealed in upcoming events.”
Confident that the film will win the audience’s love, Vedhika said “I need to connect with the team before agreeing to any film, and I really like the Fear team. I frequently travel for films in other languages, and I just came here from Chennai. After watching the teaser of Fear, all my stress disappeared. We are all very happy, and the entire team has put in tremendous effort for this film. Haritha has executed the project with such meticulous planning that everyone will appreciate it. I witnessed her passion for filmmaking; you would never guess this is her first movie. My role in this film has given me great satisfaction.”
She added, “The teaser was released in Telugu by Rana, in Tamil by Vijay Sethupathi, in Hindi by Emraan Hashmi, in Kannada by Kiccha Sudeep, and in Malayalam by Dileep. I thank them all. A suspense thriller like this requires a strong background score, and Anup delivered it effectively. Arvind Krishna’s dedication and passion have truly impressed me. Our film Fear has won 64 awards at international film festivals. We applied for various categories, and even in non-applied categories, some films have been well-received and awarded. I hope you all enjoy Fear.”
The film also stars JP (Jayaprakash), Pavitra Lokesh, Anish Kuruvilla, Sayaji Shinde, Satya Krishna, Sahithi Dasari and Shani among others.

Tollywood Actor Balakrishna paid rich tributes to late Legendary Actor of Tollywood, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) his 100th Birth Anniversary. ANR stood as one of the pillars of Modern Tollywood alongwith another Matinee Idol, NTR. Balakrishna posted a heartfelt note on his official Facebook Account. This has now gone viral on all social media platforms.
Balakrishna said that it was a great pride to remember the legendary actor on the auspicous day. He also commended the services of the legendary Actor to the Tollywood. Balayya also opined that ANR stands as an inspiration to all the Actors for his immense talent. He also wanted all to remember his acting, hardwork and conviction with which he reached to this level.
This came as a shocker to many as Balakrishna recently involved himself in a controversy where he mis-spelt the surname of ANR intentionally. Many netizens trolled Balakrishna for his slip-tongue on the legendary Actor. Balakrishna didn’t issue any apology for his words and instead said he loved the Legendary Actor more than his own sons. This again invoked another controversy. Now, Balakrishna seems to end this issue by applauding ANR on his 100th Birth Anniversary. Putting these aside, let’s remember the legend on this auspicious day for his efforts.
Tollywood Director Koratala Shiva suffered a big setback with his previous film, Acharya. The director before Acharya had back to back blockbusters and enjoyed great limelight. But with the effect of Acharya, the Director found it difficult to grab the opportunities and at last fixed Devara starring NTR which is now ready for release on 27th September. Koratala Shiva, in an interview made indirect comments on Chiranjeevi, the lead Actor of Acharya.
NTR and Koratala Shiva took part in an interview organised by Tollywood Actors, Vishwak Sen and Siddhu Jonnalagadda as part of Devara promotions. Speaking about many things, Koratala Shiva said that one shouldn’t interfere in others’ work. He felt that it would only lead to causing disturbance to the intended work. With these comments, it can be understood that he indirectly attacked Chiranjeevi who was accused of interfering in Koratala Shiva’s work during Acharya. This video is now going viral on social media platforms.
There were also many speculations of creative differences between Chiranjeevi and Koratala Shiva during the making of Acharya. Many believed that this had become the main reason for the disastrous result of Acharya. Chiranjeevi too indirectly blamed the Director for the failure of the film. But Koratala Shiva never talked about the Actor nor blamed him for the failure. It seems that he finally responded now indirectly with these comments.
NTR worked as a solo Actor in Aravinda Sametha in 2018 and came again on screen with RRR as a multistarrer co-starring Ram Charan. The film also had controversies and fan wars about the role played by NTR. Now, NTR is all set for a solo film after six long years with Devara. This is something not expected at all from his fans and audiences as well. Now, it is learnt that NTR is on a big plan to release one film per every year.
If everything falls in place, Devara 2 may also start next year itself. NTR with this planning is all set to release one film per every year. He is even working for his next films before the release of his current films. This indicates his seriousness to satisfy the fans and audiences which he missed doing solely all these years.
The GOAT starring Vijay has been rocking the box office since its release. The film had a great 1st weekend at the box office and didn’t stop even in the weekdays later. Likewise, the second weekend too had a stunning performance surprising everyone. For 2 weeks, the film has collected 425 crores gross worldwide. The GOAT has surpassed Vikram and also became the All time Top 5th film of Kollywood.
The GOAT continued its strong run in Tamil Nadu and overseas market. Tamil Nadu gross is nearly 200 crores and overseas gross stands at 150 crores for 2 weeks. Vikram starring Kamal Haasan also has gross nearly around 420 crores worldwide which has been beaten by The GOAT now. The film is only behind 2.0, Jailer, Leo and Ponniyin Selvan 1. Trade believes that The GOAT may settle at Top 5 as it looks difficult go past the 500 crores mark with the third weekend.
The GOAT has mostly grossed till now and it is almost impossible to go close to 500 crores worldwide. The film’s disastrous performance in Kerala and Telugu States has also impacted its collections overall. The GOAT is also now 11th biggest South Indian grossing film.
Anirudh Ravichander has been continuing as the top Music Director among all the South Indian film Industries. His compositions and albums become a major attractions for any film before the release bringing all the hype and expectations. Anirudh is all set to deliver yet another chartbuster in the form of HunterVuntaar song from Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth.
Last year Anirudh with Hukum song made a sensation. The song became an instant chartbuster and added much hype for Jailer ahead of the release. Now, in the same way, he is coming up with HunterVuntaar song. The song’s promo has been released already on his official X/Twitter account. He was singing the song alongwith another singer Siddarth Basrur. This promo has already made a sensation and fans and audience feel that another chartbuster is arriving soon from Anirudh.
Devara is releasing on 27th September amidst massive hype. Apart from an opportunity to see NTR on the big screen after 2 and a half years, fans are excited to see what kind of numbers this pan-India action entertainer would put up.
Thankfully for the makers, there’s a golden opportunity to create a box-office storm. Post Devara’s release on 27th September, there are continuous holidays after the weekend. Apart from this, the movie will enjoy the benefit of a public holiday 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) followed by Dasara holidays that have been declared from the 3rd to 14th of October.
Another beneficial factor for the makers is the lack of any big projects in the next few weeks. Devara will certainly be the 1st choice for audience during the Dasara holidays. This promises a good 3 week run for the film. Now everything depends on the talk. If this Koratala Siva film opens to positive word of mouth, then the sky is the limit in Telugu states.
