With Kaithi, LCU was born and it went to another level with Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram Lokesh Kanagaraj made this franchise into the most loved one by casting Vijay in Leo. While Vijay’s stardom and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s racy screenplay made Leo a box-office success, its connection with Vikram didn’t work out well.
Kaithi 2 is one of the most anticipated Kollywood films and the shooting began long back. However, due to various scheduling issues, the film saw continuous postponements. Finally, it’s going on sets in 2nd half of this year and once Lokesh completes Coolie, Kaithi 2 will be his next project.
Kaithi 2 is the favourite LCU movie for many and audiences across industries are eagerly waiting for it. Kamal Hassan will also have a key role here., Lokesh Kangaraj has already begun talks and Kamal has also okayed the dates. Now it needs to be seen if Suriya will be seen as Rolex in Kaithi 2.
If Karthi, Suriya, and Kamal Haasan join this project, it will be the biggest Kollywood multistarrer in recent times. A short film tracing the origins of LCU will also go on set before Kaithi 2. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Coolie which is a standalone project and not a part of LCU is targeting 2nd half release in either September or Diwali and that’s when Kaithi 2 mania will start.
