Ram Charan’ Game Changer Telugu Version Worldwide Closing Box-Office Collections

“Game Changer,” made on a massive budget of over ₹400 crore, was initially expected to be a huge film when announced due to the combination of director Shankar and actor Ram Charan. However, several obstacles arose during the shoot, including delays and the impact of Indian 2’s result. Additionally, the film’s promotional content failed to generate significant buzz, leading to a low pre-release hype.

Despite this, Ram Charan’s stardom managed to pull in a good opening in Telugu states. However, the word-of-mouth and reviews were below par to poor, resulting in a sharp decline from day two. The competition from Daaku Maharaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, both of which received better word-of-mouth, further affected Game Changer. As a result, the film failed to capitalize on the festival period. After the festive season, it completely crashed and ended its theatrical run by the second weekend.

The Telugu version of the film was released with a theatrical business of ₹165 crore but managed to recover only half of it, making it one of the biggest failures in Tollywood.

For the producers, Game Changer turned out to be a bigger loss than for the buyers. Since it was released with a deficit, they expected overflow profits to cover the shortfall, but the buyers themselves ended up with losses. The film also failed to make a significant impact in other languages.

Ram Charan’s Game Changer has completed its theatrical run and it will soon arrive on OTT, according to the official announcement of Prime Video. Being a film in the combination of Shankar and Ram Charan, the film had massive expectations for its box office performance, but it ended up as a big failure. Game Changer Worldwide Closing Gross Collections are out now.

In Telugu states, the film has collected a share of 67.5 Cr and the worldwide share will be 85 Cr share. The total gross will be around 150 Cr. The Hindi version contributed around 35 Cr gross and the Tamil version around 10 Cr, So the total worldwide gross collection for the film is 195 Cr and it was released with a target of 450 Cr.

Game Changer Worldwide Closing Gross Collections are out now. The recovery is just 44%. Hence it is one of the biggest disasters for Tollywood and Ram Charan as well. 

Also, the political action drama happens to be the biggest disaster in Dil Raju’s production house. It was their 50th landmark film but sadly it saw the biggest disastrous result. Director Shankar faced back-to-back huge disasters with Indian 2 and Game Changer.

Pushpa 2 Telugu: Third Telugu Film to Cross 300 Cr Share

Pushpa 2, the massive pan-Indian blockbuster ended its theatrical run and arrived on OTT recently. The film saw a very good run at the box office, and it put numbers for more than one month. Even for Sankrnathi and Republic weekend, the film had considerable occupancy in the theaters. Pushpa 2 becomes the third Telugu film to cross 300 Cr share worldwide.

The film’s all versions combined gross is around 1670 Cr, which made it a mega blockbuster. Coming to the Telugu version, in Telugu states (Andhra and Nizam) the movie has collected 213 Cr share including GST. The worldwide share of the Telugu version will be 302 Cr. Pushpa 2 becomes the third Telugu film to cross 300 Cr share worldwide.

This is the 3rd 300 Cr share film in Telugu Cinema after Baahubali 2 and RRR. But if calculated, Pushpa 2: The Rule is an above-average venture in Telugu, as a few buyers achieved the breakeven mark, and a few ended up with some losses. No buyers made huge money in Telugu with Pushpa 2 like Hindi. The movie was sold at record prices, and that is why even though it did extraordinary numbers, for the business it has done, the movie ended up as an above-average grosser in Telugu

When we see the numbers of Pushpa 2, the numbers are extraordinary everywhere. Especially in Telugu states, while overseas numbers of Telugu version disappointed a bit as the film closed under Kalki.

Rifle Club is a recent action from Malayalam Cinema. After achieving a decent success at the box office, the film arrived on OTT and is receiving exceptional responses. Let’s check why the film is getting such good response in our review.

Story:

A love-struck pair in a dance troupe unintentionally causes the sudden death of an arms dealer’s son. His team follows the couple to a rifle club in Wayanad. The couple’s cousin, a Film Hero, joins the club members. The rest of the narrative shows how the members of the Rifle Club face the arms dealer and his men through their gunfire.

Performances:

Dileesh Pothan and Anurag Kashyap received the most screen time, showcasing their excellent performances. In their respective roles, Prashanth Murali, Darshana Rajendran, Vani Vishwanath, Suresh Krishna, Surabhi Lakshmi, Vineeth Kumar, Vishnu Agastya, and Hanumankind deliver impressive performances. 

Analysis:

While the story of the film is not substantial, Aashiqu Abu’s handling of the screenplay sets it apart. The storytelling effectively combines the action scenes with the buildup elements. Despite the slow moments in between, and a climax that feels too straightforward after an exciting buildup, the film still offers an engaging experience.

Rifle Club is a neatly done stylish action drama. The casting, action sequences along with a few stunning visuals work well for the film, and though the slow narration and a bit underwhelming finish act like minus points, the film has a good impact overall.

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel is just two days away from its theatrical release. The film has received a ticket hike of 75 Rs in Multiplexes and 50 Rs for single screens in Andhra Pradesh. With this the ticket rates in Multiplexes will be 250 and Single screens will be 200. Thandel’s Ticket Hikes in AP are receiving criticism.

The Official G.O. was released recently and it’s receiving backlash on social media. The audiences felt that the ticket hike is not needed for medium budget films like this and especially it is unnecessary during the non-festival period. Even Akkineni fans are worried about how ticket hikes impact the film’s openings. Thandel’s Ticket Hikes in AP are receiving criticism.

Definitely if movie opens with positive word of mouth, then there will be not much impact and numbers will be huge. But if the movie opens with mixed or below par response and reviews, then these hikes will play very big role in deciding the film’s collections.

The movie’s bookings in Telangana were opened a few days back as the makers of Thandel did not apply for the ticket hikes. So, the film will have the existing rates in TG, with 175 in Single Screen and 295 in Multiplex Screens. In Andhra Pradesh the bookings have opened now after the film received the G.O.

Balakrishna confirms his next officially

Tollywood Actor Balakrishna and Director Gopichand Malineni collaborated for Veera Simha Reddy which became a blockbuster grossing more than 130 crores worldwide.
