Mythri Movies Losing Crores With Tier-2 Heroes

0

Mythri Movie Makers are one of the top production houses not only in Telugu cinema but on a pan-India level. They have expanded their footprint in Tamil and Hindi cinema as well. With big star heroes, their success ratio is very good and most of the films are hit but with other heroes, the story is completely opposite.

With Tollywood A- listers, they have delivered blockbusters and superhits. Mahesh Babu gave Srimanthudu and Sarkaru Vaari Paata while NTR deivered Janatha Garage, Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa series added to the tier 1 success stories.

Even senior heroes like Chiranjeevi and Balayya gave Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.. However, this success ratio comes down significantly when working with other Tollywood heroes.

With Nani, Mythri Movie Makers produced Gang Leader and Ante Sundaraniki and both failed while Vijay Devarakonda delivered flops like Dear Comrade and Kushi with the production house. Naga Chaitanya’s Savyasachi, Ravi Teja’s Amar Akbar Anthony, Kalyan Ram’s Amigos and now Nithiin’s Robinhood have all failed.

Kamakshi Bhaskarla juggles between multiple films

0

Kamakshi Bhaskarla is one of those actresses who is choosy about scripts. The actress has an impressive line up of three films. She is presently shooting for Allari Naresh’s upcoming horror thriller titled 12A Railway Colony. While Kamakshi recently wrapped up the shooting for Naveen Chandra’s breezy entertainer, she is set to commence shooting for the third instalment of blockbuster franchise Poliemera. While the actress has her kitty full of films, she relishes the act of juggling between multiple films and describes working on multiple projects is overwhelming.

“The best part is that in all the three films I play different roles, so versatility is the key to my filmography,” she explains. “Although it’s tough shooting for multiple films, the love for the work pushes me through. After all, who doesn’t love spending time on the film sets.”

Be it 12A Railway Colony or Polimera or Shaitan, her ability to bring to life on screen complex characters with nuances has been her forte. “I think staying true to the character allowed me to explore new dimensions as an actor. I have played roles which have challenged me and pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I just follow the script and the director’s vision. I wanted to credit filmmakers who write characters for me, that’s a great validation that I have been evolving as an actor,” she says, adding that delivering captivating performances is possible through a clinical approach to filmmaking. Every role is a new journey. The prep for the character and its arc makes the process of filmmaking exciting.”

Will Dhanush Bet on NEEK 2?

0

Dhanush’s NEEK featuring a young cast received good reviews and word of mouth. Unfortunately, this film was a box-office failure due to competition with Dragon which emerged as a massive blockbuster.

NEEK arrived on OTT recently and after its release on Prime Video it got a great response and most of the people felt it was very good rom com entertainer like Premalu.

Premalu sequel has already been announced and it’s going on sets later this year. In NEEK Dhanush did not complete the film and gave a lead to second part. Had the film worked at Box office, a sequel would have definitely happened. But the box office failure of the film has raised some questions.

On the other hand, the romantic comedy received love from audience. The decision to give a lead to sequel was a blind bet. It can now either be a jackpot or bomb again at Box office. It needs to be seen whether Dhanush takes this gamble or not.

Empuraan Flops in Hindi Belts

0

Mohanlal’s Empuraan is doing sensational numbers in Malayalam and has joined the elite 100 Cr club in just 2 days. The performance in other languages is quite the opposite where the film is not seeing any respectable numbers due to mixed talk.

The Hindi market performance has been particularly disappointing and this could impact the pan-India success of the action thriller. For any pan India film from south India, Hindi market is crucial because the market is pretty big and success here can open avenues for further sequels.

Empuraan makers were also hoping the film to do very well in Hindi as it will help for next part. But the film has collected just 1 crore in Hindi after 2 days and it will end up under 5 Cr as the collections are not picking up. On top of poor talk, this Mohanlal project will face tough competition from Salman Khan’s Sikandar releasing for Eid.

Empuraan released as pan Indian film but has become limited to Malayalam markets only. In Malayalam, it is creating new benchmarks. Looking at this film’s performance, it is now clear that Marco will continue to be biggest grosser for Mollywood in Hindi

Nithiin-Sree Leela Pair Bombs

0

Nithiin and Sree Leela first paired up for Extraordinary Man which turned out to be the biggest disaster in Nithiin’s career. The combo reunited immediately for Robinhood. Initially, Rashmika was supposed to play female lead. But due to dates issue Sree Leela replaced her.

Nithiin has continuously stated that with this film his pairing with Sree Leela would turn out to be a hit combo. Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case.

Robinhood opened with below par talk and has taken a disastrous start at Box office. It’s already a failure and the margin of failure will be decided by by weekend numbers. With back 2 back failures the combo has turns as unlucky pair.

Both Nithiin and Sree Leela are facing heavy criticism for their selection of projects. Nithiin has been continually giving flops and Sree Leela is not choosing meatier roles. Audience fet their acting was not effective and both need to learn a lesson from this and change their paths.

At the same time, it received better WOM than competing releases. Due to this and already being the most hyped film among the competition, the film witnessed very good occupancies and houseful shows throughout the day. Night shows registered massive occupancy. The sequel is heading towards a sensational blockbuster at the box office.

Naga Vamsi overcomes the competition

0

Tollywood Production House, Sithara Entertainments headed by Naga Vamsi has become the No.1 Production House of the Film Industry. Most of the films they produced have offered good content and became successful at the box office as well. Naga Vamsi also made himself the most talked about Producer in the recent times.

But one thing that hurt the Production House the most was the competition from other films. Last year during the Sankranthi Season, Hanuman badly impacted the prospects of Guntur Kaaram produced by Sithara Entertainments. Lucky Baskhar which had a great content was also affected by the good run of KA and Amaran. Surprisingly, this year, their Daaku Maharaaj starring Balakrishna was also ruined by Sankranthiki Vasthunam which became the biggest blockbuster.

The three films performed well at the box office but could not achieve a much bigger range due to competition. But now their recent film, MAD Square has rocked the box office emerging as the winner even facing the competition from L2: Empuraan and Robinhood. MAD Square registered terrific openings and is also poised to have a sensational festival weekend. It also made the clash one-sided and audience choice has also become MAD Square first now.

Empuraan Enters 100 Cr Club in Record Time

0

After a record-breaking 68 Cr start at the global box office, Mohanlal’s Empuraan shows a super hold despite mixed reviews. It is widely known that the film had an immense hype before the release. Empuraan enters the 100 Cr Club in record time.

Empuraan: 100 Crores in Two Days

The Malayalam version continues to perform very strongly, as it crosses the 100 Cr club on day 2, which makes it the fastest film ever to do so for Mollywood. The previous best was Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Aadu Jeevitham, which achieved the feat in 9 days.

Empuraan: 3rd 100 Crore Grosser for Mohanlal

Mohanlal’s Empuraan enters the 100 Cr Club within record time. If it had received positive WOM, then the numbers would have been superb in other languages as well.

L2E is the 3rd 100 Cr film for Mohanlal after Puli Murugan and Lucifer, the most by any Mollywood hero. The film’s advances for day 3 are even better than day 2, and the movie is set for a rampage weekend at the box office.

Robinhood Day 1 Box Office Trends: Poor Start

0

Nithin and Venky Kudumula’s Robinhood was released in theaters today, and it failed to receive positive responses from audiences and critics. Robinhood Day 1 Box Office trends are off to a poor start.

The team did a lot of promotions before the release, but nothing added to the film’s buzz, and a bad release date killed the film on the opening day itself. The film was made on a very big budget of 70 Cr, and theatrically, for producers, it has to recover 40 Cr share to become a profitable project.

Robinhood Box Office: Poor Collections on Day 1

But Nithin’s Robinhood Day 1, Box Office trends indicate a poor start, as it just collected around 4.5 Cr gross, which is a shocking start for the film. And the day 2 advances are even lower than day 1, which means the film is heading towards a big failure.

We need to see whether the film can put some numbers on Ugadi and Ramzan holidays and provide some relief for buyers. If there is no jump on those days, then the buyers will lose more than 3/4 of the invested amounts.

MAD Square Day 1 Box Office Trends: Sensational Start

0

MAD Square is off to a mind-blowing start at the box office. The film is made as a sequel to the superhit movie MAD (2023), and because of that, it produced a huge craze among audiences. MAD Square Day 1 Box Office trends indicate a sensational start.

MAD Square Box Office: Beyond Expectations in Hyderabad and the USA

Especially in Hyderabad City and the USA, the film goes on a rampage mode and shocks the trade circles. MAD’s 1st part collected around 20 Cr gross worldwide, and the sequel’s opening day collections will itself be closer to that number.

Similarly, last year Tillu Square also did the same by collecting almost the closing collections of DJ Tillu on the 1st day itself. MAD Square Day 1 Box Office trends indicate a sensational start.

MAD Square Day 1 Estimates are Huge

The first day’s early estimates of the film’s collections are in the range of 17 Cr gross, which is a sensational start. The breakeven gross is valued at 45 Cr, and the film recovered almost 40% on the opening day itself, and Day 2 advances are on par with Day 1.

So, Kalyan Shankar’s hilarious sequel is all set to achieve the breakeven by Sunday itself, which will be a truly massive feat.
