Fans criticise AI use in hero posters

0

Actors have a terrific screen presence which is reflected in the posters for the film. With the usage of AI, directors and makers are opting for this for a quick release of posters. Technology must be used only in some scenarios but not for every purpose. Fans and audiences have been criticising the aggressive usage of AI for hero and film posters due to the same reason as well.

Earlier, Balakrishna’s son, Mokshagna’s poster for his debut film was also created using AI. The poster too welcomed criticism for the usage of AI. Later, Chiranjeevi starrer Vishwambhara teaser too used much of AI generated visuals which also disappointed the fans and audience. Chiranjeevi’s close up shots in the teaser too looked odd because of the AI usage.

Now, Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab‘s poster was released yesterday which didn’t look natural. Earlier too the same AI used poster was released as the first look of The Raja Saab which created disappointment to the fans and audiences. This aggressive usage of AI must come down.

Vettaiyan hits breakeven in just two territories

Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth released amid good expectations but ended up as a failure at the box office. The film has managed to achieve breakeven in just only two territories i.e., Kerala and Karnataka. In Kerala, Vettaiyan collected more than 16 crores gross and Karnataka’s gross was close to 20 crores gross.

In other territories, the film has ended up with big losses. In Tamil Nadu alone, Vettaiyan will be closing less than 100 crores. In Overseas, the film will close in the range of $10Million. These should be considered as below par numbers for the film and Rajinikanth’s craze as well. In Telugu States, the film collected only around 19 crores gross against a breakeven mark of 30 crores.

Overall, Vettaiyan’s collections are at 235 crores gross against a breakeven mark of 325 crores worldwide. This indicates that the film has attained a flop status. Rajinikanth and Lyca Productions are also thinking to team up again to compensate the losses they faced with their collaborative films in recent times.

Kalki 2898 AD still holds Non-Rajamouli record in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas became a box office blockbuster after the release this year. The film did very good numbers in all the territories. Telangana was undoubtedly the performed territory for the film where it made 90 share including GST. In Andhra Pradesh, the film has collected 93 crore share including GST. Kalki 2898 AD still holds the Non-Rajamouli record in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Devara starring NTR which released recently did very well in all the territories and had an excellent run at the box office. But Kalki 2898 AD comparatively had a sensational run in Nizam and Devara didn’t come close to this. In Andhra Pradesh, Devara has managed to beat Kalki 2898 AD in Ceded, Guntur and Nellore territories. But overall Devara’s share in AP is around 90 crores which is 3 crores short of Kalki 2898 AD. So, it came close but hasn’t beaten the record set by Kalki 2898 AD.

In both Telugu States and Worldwide, Kalki 2898 AD holds the Non-Rajamouli record in all the territories. Pushpa 2 can break this record which is scheduled for release on December 6th worldwide.

Jailer starring Rajinikanth became a big box office blockbuster last year. The film achieved unanimous positive reviews after its release and went on to establish big records. The songs and BGM composed by Anirudh Ravichander still get celebrated as classics on social media platforms. The team has immediately planned for a sequel, Jailer 2. Now, it is also learnt that Kollywood Actor Dhanush has been cast in Jailer 2.

Jailer had the cameo appearances of Mohanlal and Shiv Raj Kumar which elevated the film to the next level. Director of the film, Nelson is thinking of casting Dhanush in the same way for an important role in Jailer 2. It will definitely be an interesting news for the fans and audiences. Dhanush will also be playing a role beside Rajinikanth, his ex father-in-law for the first time.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth saw a disaster in the form of Vettaiyan recently. The film didn’t impress the audience completely and became a debacle even during the Dussehra holiday period.

The promotional efforts surrounding Kanguva have generated significant buzz, showcasing the film’s potential to make a remarkable impact at the box office. With Suriya at the helm, his popularity across various languages is undeniably a major asset, positioning the film for a strong opening. Industry insiders predict that Kanguva could potentially achieve a staggering 100 crore worldwide opening, a feat that would solidify its status in the competitive landscape of Indian cinema.

In Kollywood, only two films have previously surpassed the 100 crore mark on their opening day: Vijay’s Leo and The Goat. With Kanguva set to be a multi-part saga, there is a compelling case for it to join this elite club. The film’s first installment is expected to deliver a significant opening, particularly since only 20 minutes will comprise the present-day narrative, while the remainder will delve into historical content, intriguing audiences with its epic storytelling.

This weekend, the excitement surrounding Kanguva will escalate further with its audio launch at the iconic Nehru Stadium in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, a grand event is being planned for the Telugu audience, indicating the film’s extensive promotional strategy across multiple regions. As anticipation builds, all eyes will be on Kanguva to see if it can indeed achieve the much-coveted 100 crore milestone, setting the stage for its subsequent installments.

Shankar, known for his impressive track record until Robot, has faced challenges in recent years. Following the film Snehitudu, his projects, including ‘I’ and ‘2.0’ , received mixed reviews, failing to meet the high expectations set by his previous works. The situation worsened with Indian 2, which was labeled a disaster. Currently, there are discussions about Indian 3 potentially releasing directly on Netflix, highlighting the tough times Shankar is navigating in his career.

Amidst these challenges, hope rests on Game Changer, slated for a Sankranti 2025 release. Shankar is reportedly investing significant effort in the film’s post-production, meticulously reviewing rushes and making edits to enhance the final product. Industry insiders have shared positive feedback, particularly praising the second half of the film, with producer Dil Raju expressing his satisfaction with the output.

Despite his recent setbacks, Shankar’s brand remains strong among audiences, and the anticipation surrounding ‘Game Changer’ is palpable. ‘Game Changer’ is crucial not only for Shankar’s career but also for Ram Charan, who aims to bounce back after the underperformance of ‘Acharya’ following the monumental success of RRR.

If Shankar can deliver a film that matches his previous caliber, coupled with Ram Charan’s star power, ‘Game Changer’ could achieve significant box office success and mark a much-awaited resurgence for both the director and the actor.

SS Rajamouli, known for cinematic masterpieces like Baahubali 2, was the first to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark at the box office, setting new standards in Indian cinema with each project. However, Pushpa 2 is the first Indian film to do 100 Cr pre business and Just to achieve breakeven the film has to surpass global collections of hits like RRR and KGF: Chapter 2. For blockbuster Status it has to cross ₹1,500 crore worldwide. This sequel could be a defining moment for Allu Arjun, cementing his dominance in the industry if it meets or exceeds those benchmarks.
