The Raja Saab’s motion poster disappoints

The Raja Saab starring Prabhas is one of the most anticipated films of Tollywood. The film is directed by Maruthi making his first collaboration with Prabhas. The director who was known for directing low budgeted films will also make it to the Tier 1 league directors with the film. Today, on the occasion of Prabhas’ birthday, The Raja Saab’s motion poster was released and it has disappointed to everyone’s surprise.

The film is a horror genre based film which may be good as a commercial idea. The promotional content for such content must also create good buzz in all languages. The motion poster failed to work in the category of VFX design and BGM as well. Apart from these, Prabhas’ look as an Old King didn’t impress at all. Prabhas puts up a terrific screen presence when he portrays as King but his King look from The Raja Saab’s motion poster failed to impress.

We have to see how the team reacts to this reception. The next content from the team must impress the fans and audiences in the big way.

Salaar 2 begins

Salaar starring Prabhas and directed by Prashant Neel became one of the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood. The film grossed more than 600 crores worldwide showcasing the stardom of Prabhas. The film has also teased the sequel in the climax titled, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam. Now, Salaar 2 shoot has officially begun.

The Production house, Hombale Films have officially announced the sequel. A schedule is also planned for 20 days which will have Prabhas taking part in. As Prabhas celebrates his birthday today, this news has been announced as a gift to fans and audiences. Mollywood Actor, Pruthviraj Sukumar will also play a pivotal role in the second part.

Salaar 2 will have more grandeur and hype because of the large size hit with Salaar. Prabhas has also grossed 1000 crores with his recent Kalki 2898 AD. So, he will be aiming to repeat the same success again with Salaar 2.

Diwali box office battle: Big releases across languages

There are multiple films lined up for release this Diwali season. There are also some exciting and big releases across languages in Indian film Industry. With these releases, it’s going to be a big battle for Diwali at the box office.

In Telugu language, Lucky Bhaskar starring Dulquer Salmaan and KA starring Kiran Abbavaram are slated for release on October 31st. Both these films have good amount of expectations among fans and audiences. Along with these, Amaran starring Siva Karthikeyan is also slated for release from Kollywood. The film also stars Sai Pallavi in the female lead role.

Brother starring Jayam Ravi is also testing its luck along with another film, Bloody Beggar. In Hindi, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are coming before the audiences. Both these films are one of the most awaited films there. Singham Again starring Ajay Devgan and many other Bollywood biggies is also expected to break many records in Bollywood.

The Sankranti season has always been a prime time for the  film industry, with not just big-budget films but also small and medium-budget movies performing remarkably well at the box office. This festive period sees many films breaking records, leveraging the holiday spirit and family gatherings. The Sankranti season also brings in significant collections for dubbing movies.

For Sankranti 2025, two major releases have been confirmed: ‘Game Changer’ starring Ram Charan and NBK109 featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna. While these films are expected to dominate the festival, there’s ample space for another big film to enter the competition. However, with Venkatesh’s film with Anil Ravipudi and ‘Thandel’ both opting out of the Sankranti race, a significant opportunity has opened up for ‘Majaka’.

Darshan Appeals for Bail Over Medical Condition

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogdeep Srinivas has appealed for bail in the Karnataka High Court, following his arrest in the Renukaswamy murder case. The court, led by Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty, has issued a notice to the state government regarding the petition. Additionally, the prosecution has been directed to produce Darshan’s medical records and file its objections to the bail plea by the next hearing.

Senior Advocate C.V. Nagesh, representing Darshan, argued that the actor is suffering from a serious spinal ailment, and that he underwent medical tests on Monday, October 21. Taking note of this, the court stated, “We will call for the medical reports and post the matter for further hearing on Monday.”

Previously, on October 14, the Sessions Court rejected the bail applications of both Darshan and co-accused Pavitra Gowda. Darshan, arrested on June 11, 2024, has been in judicial custody since June 22. Recently, the police filed a chargesheet in the case. Meanwhile, co-accused Keshavamurthy was granted bail by the High Court.

Devara arriving early on OTT?

Fans of Jr NTR have plenty to celebrate as his action-packed film ‘Devara’ is about to make its debut on OTT platforms sooner than expected. Initially set to premiere on Netflix on November 8, new reports indicate that the South Indian versions might be available as early as next week, with the Hindi version following in the third week of November. The official announcement of this is yet to come.

Directed by Koratala Siva,  Devara has taken the box office by storm, raking in over Rs 400 crore globally. This puts it in an impressive sixth place among the highest-grossing films in Tollywood history, joining the ranks of legends like ‘Baahubali 2,’ ‘RRR,’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ ‘Salaar,’ and ‘Baahubali.’

As the film nears the end of its theatrical run, the decision to release it early on OTT is unlikely to affect its box office success, considering its already impressive earnings. With all language digital rights secured by Netflix, fans are eager to experience this cinematic thrill ride from the comfort of their homes. So this Diwali, NTR fans may celebrate the festival with Devara.

Kannada Actor, Yash had a chit chat with film journalist, Anupama Chopra today on YouTube. The interview, posted on The Hollywood Reporter India channel, presented Yash’s views on his current film, Toxic and his other upcoming films, KGF Chapter 3 and Ramayana. This has gone viral now on social media platforms.

Yash revealed that his Toxic is not releasing in the April month next year. Toxic will be a massy and mega budgeted entertaining film. He also confirmed that he is playing the role of Ravana in his upcoming film, Ramayana besides co-producing it. The KGF star also told there will be no cross over between KGF Chapter 3 and Salaar also confirming the possibility of KGF Chapter 3. He said that a line was discussed for the film but will take time to go on sets.

The Rocking Star said that KGF Chapter 3 will definitely make the audiences proud whenever it happens. Yash also appeared in a completely different avatar in the interview which shocked everyone. This look is for his film, Toxic.

Singham Again is the third installment in the Singham series in Bollywood starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role. Recently, Stree 2 broke all the previous records of Bollywood and grossed more than 600 crores worldwide.

Singham Again may very well break the records set by Stree 2. Grossing more than 1000 crores will be a big task for Singham Again as this needs a strong long run. So, let’s wait and see what happens.

Pushpa 2 set to announce new release date

Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood. The film has been riding very high with the expectations set by its prequel, Pushpa. It became a Pan India blockbuster grossing more than 300 crores worldwide. Pushpa 2 ischeduled for release on 6th December. But it is now speculated that Pushpa 2 is set to have a new release date.

Earlier, there were rumours about the film’s preponement to December 5th. But the makers came up with a new poster dismissing those speculations. But now, it is rumoured that due to the Distributors feedback, the makers are thinking to prepone the date to December 5th. Chhava starring Vicky Kaushal also has so much of expectations and it may disturb Pushpa 2’s opening prospects if it releases on December 6th.

Speculation is rife that the team is deciding to conduct a press meet on 24th October about the release date announcement. A new release poster may also be released. All language distributors are also likely to attend this press conference. The press meet will be conducted in Hyderabad.
