Prithviraj set for a career defining role in Mahesh Babu – Rajamouli’s film

Tollywood Actor Mahesh Babu and Director Rajamouli thrilled fans and audiences with their collaboration for SSMB29. The film is already in the shooting stage with the team headed for a new schedule in Odisha. Malayalam Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has come on board for the film, officially taking part with this schedule. He is reportedly set for a career-defining role in the film.

The Actor is also rumoured to be playing the antagonist role and is on track to be having a splendid characterisation in the film as per the sources. Usually, villains have a weak characterisation without a proper arc elevating the hero. But Director Rajamouli always concentrates big on the Antagonist role, making it powerful. In the same way, it is learned that he has designed a mighty role for Prithviraj in SSMB29.

Prithviraj is also believed to be playing a powerful man with a large army, and his characterisation, along with screen presence, will be very challenging clubbed with a high scope of performance. As said, he has joined the shoot and allocated a huge number of dates for the film. Prithviraj will also be featured throughout the film, and the scenes between him and Mahesh Babu are being picturised now.

Director Rajamouli, along with Mahesh Babu and the team, spent a big time in the pre-production works and now are planning continuous schedules for the shoot. The official press meet of the film is rumoured to happen in April.

Singer Kalpana recovers; shuts down suicide rumours

Noted Singer Kalpana hit the news recently for widespread suicide allegations on her unconscious state and the subsequent admitting in the hospital. Fans and the Audience were also worried about her health, though she was declared safe from danger by the Doctors. Her daughter who came to the hospital brushed the rumors of suicide angle.

Now, Singer has regained her consciousness and shut down the suicide rumours herself. She released a video in which she opined that the Insomnia medicine overdose led to her unconscious state, leading to the rumours of her suicide. The Singer also backed her husband, contrary to the rumors of him being behind her alleged suicide attempt, and added that he had been a huge support to her.

She also thanked the fans and audience who prayed for her recovery and appealed to stop the rumours further. Kalpana also said that she was pursuing an LLB with the support of her husband. She will also be discharged from the hospital soon.

After the extraordinary 1st week, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon continues the same momentum in the 2nd week too. With the help of positive response, the film is having a consistent run at the theaters. Dragon Two Weeks Box Office Collections total crosses 125 Cr.

For 2 weeks, the film has collected 67 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu, 17.5 Cr in Telugu States, 8.5 Cr in Karnataka, and 2.25 Cr in Kerala. The film gathered around 50 lakhs in the rest of India, and it has collected around 96 Cr in India, and the overseas gross will be around 29 Cr, which takes the Dragon Two Weeks Box Office Collections worldwide total to 125 Cr.

Samantha’s Comeback with Sukumar?

Samantha, who once was the most popular Tollywood actress bagging back-to back biggies has now been away from the big screen and industry. The actress was no. 1 for many years but in recent times, her films like Shaakuntalam, Kushi, Yashoda have all failed and she is facing a low phase of her career in cinemas. At the moment, she has not signed any big offers.

But now the news in industry circles is that Sukumar is considering Samantha to star opposite Ram Charan. If this is true it will be a big comeback break for Samantha as Sukumar – Ram Charan film is going to be an international standard film. The same combination has earlier delivered a blockbuster classic like Rangasthalam before.

At the same time, Rashmika is also being considered for the role. Sukumar has earlier worked with her in Pushpa. But it would be a fresh pairing with Ram Charan. Power-Packed Climax for Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is the biggest budget film of Pawan Kalyan’s career has been on sets for several years now. Despite these delays, fans have great expectations on this film because of its unique genre and Power Star’s reappearance on big screen after a long time. The audio songs released so far have received a mixed response but the visual content garnered a unanimous positive response.

It’s already a known news that this film was planned as single part but later divided into two parts due to story span. The 1st part has been announced for 28th March release. But as per present reports, the film will release either in April end in early May.

For a two part film, part one climax will play a key role. In Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a great care has been taken regarding the climax which is said to be highlight of the film. The climax action scene was shot for more than 40 days and the film will not end with this action sequence.

After climax fight, there will be a grand sequence which would involve VFX and a big lead to part 2. The entire work including post production for the climax is completed. It has come out very well and the team is satisfied with the end product.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be the only biggie release in this summer. If its content reaches the expectations, it has the potential to become a massive grosser. This is the first big budget and straight film from Pawan Kalyan in recent years hence fans have great expectations on this.

Post Corona, three of his films were remake and decent budget regional films but couldn’t satisfy many. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a pan Indian film with massive budget. It features grand visuals with heavy VFX and if these factors work out, Pawan Kalyan fans are surely in for a treat.

Jailer 2 going on sets

Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth, is one of the most anticipated films of Kollywood. The film is also poised to do a record-breaking business considering the success of its prequel, Jailer which was a huge blockbuster. Jailer 2’s announcement Teaser is already out, and it created big ripples on social media. Fans and the Audience appreciated Director Nelson for living up to the expectations.

Nelson has also spent more than a year on Jailer 2’s script and the Pre-production works. The film is set to go on the sets on 10th March in Chennai. Rajinikanth is also reported to join this schedule as his portion for Coolie has almost ended with only a few day shoot left pending.

Jailer 2 is currently being planned for a summer release next year. The pre-business is expected to end at a high price, and the cast and crew were also paid with huge remunerations. Veteran Actors Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar have already been cast in the sequel, just as in the prequel. It is also rumoured that Balakrishna may come on board to play a role in the film.

Rajinikanth is also expected to score 1000 crore grosser with Jailer 2 for Kollywood. He already has Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which is already riding high with great buzz. If all goes well, Rajinikanth is set to deliver back to back highest grossers for Kollywood.

Devara sequel is happening

Devara, starring NTR was a sensational blockbsuter, grossing more than 400 crores worldwide. The Actor has also broken the infamous Rajamouli curse with the film emerging as one of the biggest grossers of Tollywood.

There has been a unanimous positive response for Devara’s 1st half, but the 2nd half was a bit mixed because of a mild lead given at the end of the film leading to a sequel. This didn’t excite the fans and audience who felt that the climax could have been better. This is the reason why Devara couldn’t generate a hype that was created for the sequels of KGF, Baahubali and even Pushpa.

NTR, on the other hand, has been working for War 2 and NTRNeel. A film under the direction of Nelson is also on the cards. This made the fans and audience feel that NTR was not concentrating on the sequel of Devara. But the news is that, Director Koratala Shiva is said to be working on the script and his next film will be also be Devara 2. The plan is to start the film in the early 2026. NTR’s War 2 shoot is in the final stages and NTRNeel has already been commenced.

NTR looks to join NTRNeel at the end of this month, and the shoot will be wrapped up by the end of this year, targeting Sankranthi 2026 or the summer season. With this, NTR’s current commitments will be completed this year, and Nelson’s directorial will take much time as his other commitment, Jailer 2, is yet to go on sets. Jailer 2 is also set to release in the summer season of 2026. So, Nelson will concentrate on NTR’s film only in the end of 2026.

Feedback must be considered:

NTR will be giving the dates for Devara’s sequel only in 2026 and Director Koratala Shiva will work on the script this year. The Director has to take the feedback of Devara and must come up with something big for the sequel. The team will have an advantage only then. The film must also contain fine content with a proper lead.

Chhaava Telugu release in trouble

Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal, is rocking the box office with its dominating performance. The film has also grossed more than 500 crores worldwide prompting the makers to release the film in other languages. Likewise, the team made arrangements for Chhaava’s Telugu release. But the release of the film in Telugu language seems to be in trouble.

The Muslim Federation of AP’s President, Mohammed Zia-ul-Haq, had complained against Chhaava, alleging that it distorted the facts to the Nellore Collector. He also requested him to stop the screening of the film in AP and apply a ban on the film. This is now going viral on social media platforms. Chhaava is scheduled for release in Telugu States on 7th March.

We need to see how the Government will act on this. The team has already begun the promotions of the film, and the makers also expect the film to become a sensation in Telugu States.
