Director Prasanth Varma is known for bringing out of box concepts to the screen. Now, the maker has decided to expand his ‘cinematic universe’ with a superhero film. The film is being touted as the first original superhero film in Telugu and will be based on Lord Hanuman.
The first look of the movie was revealed earlier today and has caught the audience’s attention with terrific visuals and intense BGM.
Prasanth is known for experiments in his subjects and always strives for something new. He made an impressive debut in 2018 with multi-starrer anthology Awe, which was a totally different experience for the Telugu audience. He later went on to make action thriller Kalki with Dr Rajasekha. Kalki impressed audience and critics for its different portrayal. His last film Zombie Reddy brought in the first experience of zombies to Tollywood.
Now with Hanuman, he is once again bringing a totally new genre to Tollywood. Super hero films are hugely popular in Hollywood. Even Bollywood and Kollywood have made a few films on this subject. It would be interesting how Varma mixes mythology with fiction this time around.
Mahesh Babu’s team in an official statement has announced that in view of current circumstances it would not be correct to mark the date with any announcements. Producer and Publicist BA Raju’s death is being considered as another reason behind this. 
While Family Man 2 will be releasing in multiple languages, she hasn’t acted in films other than Telugu and Tamil. The ‘Majili’ actress was recently asked in a media interaction about why she hasn’t made a Bollywood debut yet. “Because maybe I am scared? (laughs) The talent here is amazing. I am scared,” she answered. The actress also added that she would love to be paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor if given an option.
On the occasion of Rao Ramesh’s birthday, the makers gave a glimpse of his character. He will be playing a CBI officer named Kanneganti Raghavan who is in the quest to catch hold of Rocky. The character seems quite interesting and it will be great to watch the versatile actor in this role.

The actress, says she has put together a team to look into every request that comes through the website of the initiative. This initiative from the young actress has impressed everyone and people are calling her out for such a timely and resourceful initiative.
Mehreen Pirzada recently contracted Covid 19. The F2 actress stated that although she is cured completely, she still is facing the after-effects. “I am still dealing with the after-effects of COVID-19. I have been resting all this while because I am low on energy. I just started to exercise, and work out a bit by taking my pet for walks,” she said.
Adivi Sesh starrer Major has become the latest movie to postpone its release owing to the Covid second wave. The makers of the movie released a statement announcing the decision to defer the release. “We are living in unprecedented times and we hope you are following all the safety protocols and staying safe. Our film major which was originally scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 2nd July is now postponed for a later date. We will announce a new release date once things are back to normal. Times are tough but so are we,” said the announcement.
The film business is quite a volatile one. The conditions that exist right now might not prevail tomorrow. Sometimes films start in a good spirit and with great expectations but that all might change later leading to film’s getting shelved. Tollywood over the years has seen some big movies in crazy combinations announced and get shelved.
