India witnessed the ultimate action thriller from Sandalwood with KGF Chapter 1. KGF took sandalwood’s market to the next level and bought the PAN India level recognition to the Rocking Star Yash. Now all eyes on the sequel of KGF which is coming as KGF Chapter 2.

Almost 80% of the film shooting was wrapped before the lockdown and is left with the last schedule of about 25 days. The moviemakers are planning to resume the shoot from 16th of August and finish it off quickly. As it is a high budget film with sky-high expectations, it would require a quite more pre-production time and as of now, there is no clarity over the reopening of the theatres. Keeping all these in view, the movie team has decided not to release KGF 2 this year.

Earlier, KGF 2 was scheduled for this year’s summer release but was postponed due to the pandemic. Later, the makers thought of Dushhera season but considering the current situations, they think Sankranthi 2021 would be the perfect release for this PAN Indian project and might go on with 14 January 2021.

The man who directed KGF, Prashanth Neel himself is directing KGF 2 under Hombale Films banner also features Sanjay Dutt as Adhira in an antagonist role. After this project, the director Prashant Neel will join hands with Jr.NTR for #NTR31 which will be bankrolled by Myhtri Movie Makers.
