Story: Basthi Balaraju ( Karthikeya) owns a funeral service. He transports dead bodies in his van to cemeteries. One of the bodies that he transports to the cemetery is Mallika( Lavanya Tripathi)’s husband Peter. Balaraju falls in love with her at first sight. How he convinces her and whether she falls in love with him is the main point of the cinema.

Performances: Kartikeya has performed really well. Owing to his characterization as a crazy guy, he lived in that role. Lavanya Tripathi’s performance was average. Aamani, srikanth iyengar, and murali sharma were good as usual. The remaining artists were adequate.

Analysis: The Director has taken a routine point and tried to present in a new way by designing the hero’s character as a caretaker of dead bodies. The first half starts off interestingly and slows down. Overall, the first half is watchable with few good comedy scenes. However, few dialogues are overboard and too much cinematic livery is taken. The second half slows down completely and is saved by a good and meaningful climax. The screenplay is very poor in 2nd half where the film loses its track completely. Anasuya’s special song didn’t really click that much. Director establishes the point well but chose a routine style of narrating it in 2nd half. Music is average. Cinema-photography is decent. The remaining technicians have done adequately.

These days a chartbuster song, album or teaser is minting huge buzz and taking a great start at the Box-office. Irrespective of the budget or cast if the album consists of atleast one sensational single the openings are surprisingly shocking trade circles. Recent releases like Pradeep’s 30 Rojulo Preminchadam Ela, Uppena, Jathi Ratnalu.

Now one more film joins the list, Kiran who made his debut with Raja Vaaru Rani Garu is now coming up with SR Kalyanamandapa. Last year 2 songs from this film’s album were released and 2 out of 2 recorded Millions of views in no time. Last month a 2 mins teaser which was released has created more buzz on the film. Producers have quoted 3-4Crs for Telugu States rights and popular producer Dil Raju distributor Warangal Srinu were negotiating for the last two days and today Warangal Srinu has closed the deal for 4Crs.

This film will open with huge numbers on Day 1. Producers are planning to release the film on May 21st. Sai Kumar, Tulasi, Srikanth Iyengar, Tanikella Bharani are playing pivotal roles as well. While Chaitan Bharadwaj composed tunes for this film Pramod and Raju produced under the banner Elite Entertainments.

Kiran Abbavaram and Taxiwala fame Priyanka Jawalkar Starrer’s “SR Kalyanamandapam” business is in full swing, This film gained a lot of hype with two chartbusters ‘Choosale Kallaraa’ and ‘Chukkala Chunni’ sung by Sid Sriram and Anurag Kulkarni respectively which attracted both youth and masses equally. Using the album hype and terrific response for the teaser too, Makers are quoting a price of 3cr in Telugu states, both Warangal Srinu and Dil Raju are in the race for acquiring the rights which will put on table profits for producers. Directed by debutant Sridhar gade, Story by Hero Kiran Abbavaram, produced by Elite group, music by Chaithan Bharadwaj, SR Kalyanamandapam is slated for Summer 2021 Release.

My Market is 20-25Crs – Manchu Vishnu

Manchu Vishnu starrer Mosagallu is slated for release this Friday and is promoting the film all day with back-to-back interviews on different networks. From the start of this project, there were several questions about the budget and other things and Vishnu has now come up with all the answers. Vishnu when asked about the budget he said that “This film was made with a budget of about 50Crs and as the budget going up, I decided to make ‘Mosagallu’ as a five-language film.” Adding to that “Actors who are popular in more than one language have worked on the movie. I am familiar with the Kannada and Malayalam audiences too. We know how popular Kajal Aggarwal and Suniel Shetty are.”

When asked about the result Vishnu said that “his family members are feeling pressured ahead of the release of the movie because he has taken a big risk with Mosagallu as his market is only 20-25Crs but he spent double on this project.” Mosagallu is based on true events. The movie is said to be focused on the infamous call center scam in the USA in which many NRIs were looted illegally as they believed that they were receiving the calls from IRS and the immigration department. The fraudsters apparently robbed a whopping $380 million dollars. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen acting as sister and Suniel, Naveed, Naveen Chandra are playing important roles in this film.

Netflix bags Digital Rights of 4 Telugu Movies

Nowadays audience are eagerly waiting for the movie’s digital release announcements though they watch the film in theaters. Netflix the leading OTT platform has started buying Telugu films Digital rights post the huge viewership for Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthpuramuloo.

Netflix has bagged 4 Telugu films out of which three are scheduled to theatrical release in the coming months. Netflix’s first release will be the recent Blockbuster Uppena which is expected to premiere next week. Uppena’s theatrical run has come to end, the makers are ready to announce the Digital release date. Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog digital release deal has been closed long back but later makers wanted to go on with Theatrical release first and later after 30 days it will be available on Netflix.

Recently, adding to the list Netflix has closed digital rights deal for 2 more movies, Rana’s Virataparvam which is scheduled for release on 30th April and another one is Akhil’s Most eligible Bachelor. Most Eligible Bachelor to have its initial Theatrical release on 16th June and post 30 days it will be streaming on the Netflix platform.
