The success of the Baahubali series is known worldwide. Part 2, Baahubali The Conclusion is still the highest-grossing film in India with a domestic gross of more than 1300 cr(all versions included). The film became an industry hit in almost all Indian states. The phenomenal achievement has expanded the Telugu cinema market to another level. Earlier, the buzz was that the leading OTT giant Netflix has planned a web series based on Baahubali. The idea is to come up with the Prequel of the Baahubali series. Director Deva Katta has been roped as the director for this series which was announced two years back.

However, Netflix was not satisfied with the initial output and the series is set to be reshot again. There will be a total of 9 episodes. The scale of the web series will be much bigger as it is said to be made with a budget of more than 200 crores. The Director of epic Baahubali series, SS Rajamouli is said to be producing this web series. The cast and crew will be announced. The web-series will most likely be the Indian version of ‘ Game of Thrones. Of course, that won’t be in the content but in terms of the grandeur and the scale. Meanwhile, on the directorial side, Rajamouli is busy wrapping his 2021 release, the epic multistarrer, RRR and will start to work on the forest adventure film with Mahesh Babu following that film.
