Karnan ruling Tamil Nadu box office

Dhanush starrer Karnan is creating a rampage of sorts at the Tamil Nadu box office. The movie has received he great reviews from all quarters. Apart from this, it’s also taking the box -office by storm by registering massive numbers each passing day.

The action thriller raked in a humongous Rs 8.40 crores on Sunday. This has now taken the weekend collection to Rs 25+ crores. What’s impressive here is that these numbers have been achieved with the government-mandated 50% theatre occupancy. Movie lovers have turned out in huge numbers and turned this movie into huge box office success.

The story follows the story of a village youth who fights for the rights of the marginalized sections of society. Mari Selvaraj has directed this action thriller. He earlier directed made the critically acclaimed Pariyerum Perumal. Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations banner has bankrolled the movie. Dhanush’s performance has been well appreciated by all with many comparing it with his performance in Asuran.

Khiladi Teaser: Ravi Teja’ intense portrayal

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Khiladi teaser dropped in just a while back much to fans’ excitement and glee. The teaser right from the word go grips you with its dark portrayal of Ravi Teja and intense BGM. The visuals look great and promise great action sequences.

The 79-second long teaser features just one dialogue towards the end with Ravi Teja saying, “If you play smart without stupid emotions, you are unstoppable”. This could be a hint about the scheming and plotting that Ravi Teja will be doing in the movie to achieve his goal. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score added to the visuals and the teaser has already impressed one and all.

Directed by Ramesh Verma, Ravi Teja will be seen in a dual role in this action thriller. The movie is produced jointly by Satyanarayana Koneru and Ramesh Varma under the banner of A Studios LLP. It stars Dimple Hayathi, Arjun Sarja and Meenakshi Chaudhary in key roles.

Big update on NTR30 today

Finally, the big day has come for NTR fans. The RRR actor is all set to begin work on his 30th film soon and an update will be shared today evening regarding the same. It is being speculated that NTR will join hands with Koratala Siva for this venture alternatively called NTR30. This will be the second collaboration between the two after the successful Janatha Garage.

Over the last few months, a number of directors such as Trivikram, Buchi Babu Sana, etc. were reported to be the ones directing NTR30. However, all that will be revealed today evening tweeted Mahesh Koneru, PR for NTR.

NTR meanwhile is busy shooting for RRR and will most probably start works on his 30th post-RRR’s release later this year. Meanwhile, it is also being speculated that Rashmika Mandanna will be paired opposite Tarak for the first time in NTR 30.

Nagababu bats for Jagan in Vakeel Saab issue

Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab released earlier this week on the 9th and has been performing well at the box office. However, the movie hit a speedbump as it was not granted permission for its premiere shows and special shows in Andhra Pradesh. This move has anguished both distributors as well as the fans.

A war of words has started in both the camps with Pawan Kalyan fans calling it a conspiracy by the Jaganmohan Reddy’s government against their star. The government’s side has been maintaining that it has just followed the rules and that there’s nothing personal in this movie.

Now Nagababu has stepped into the matter and has taken Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy’s side. He added that this is a conspiracy by some local MLAs and YSRCP leaders and that a person of CM’s stature won’t indulge in such personal vendetta.

He said that there might be many differences between Jagan and Pawan politically, but that Jagan would not hurt Pawan professionally. Nagababu had earlier on Sunday appreciated the movie alongside elder brother Chiranjeevi and said that Vakeel Saab was a ‘feast of a lifetime.

Pawan Kalyan starrer Vakeel Saab has opened to positive reviews and acclaim from within the industry. Pawan Kalyan’s performance has especially been appreciated by all. While the movie is performing well in most of the areas, its performance in the overseas market has been below par. This below-par performance can be seen especially in the US where USA Pre+2 Days gross stands at $597K.

The movie has performed exceedingly well in the Telugu states. It collected a share of Rs 32.49 crs from Telugu region. This courtroom drama would have had a greater opening by 2-3 crores more had the premiere shows in AP gone as per plans.

Bankrolled under Sri Venkateswara Creations by Dil Raju, Vakeel Saab received rave reviews from all. The movie is garnering great applause for Pawan Kalyan and Prakash Raj’s performance. SS Thaman’s background score has also added great value to the film.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan who is receiving accolades from all sections for his performance is Vakeel Saab has shocked his fans with an announcement. The Janasena chief has placed himself under home quarantine for the next few days. Few of his personal staff and security personnel tested positive for Covid hence he took this decision. He has taken this step as a precautionary measure and he has not tested positive.

An official announcement was made regarding the same by Janasena’s official Twitter handle. The note further read that he is actively taking part in the party activities. He is also monitoring the party’s functioning through teleconferences, the note further read. He has further postponed all his in-person meetings and regular schedule. Ravi Teja to star in another action thriller

Looks like Ravi Teja has taken a serious liking for the action thrillers and is signing back-to-back films in this genre. After the success of Krack, he will be seen next in Khiladi directed by Ramesh Verma. The unit recently shot some heavy-duty action sequences in Europe. These chase episodes and stunts are going to be a major highlight of the movie.

Now we hear that Mass Maharaja has signed another action thriller. The film will be directed by Sarath Mandava who earlier directed 2016 Tamil film Ko2. It is is being reported that Sarath had developed the script specifically keeping Ravi Teja in mind and the latter was pleased with the concept and okayed it immediately.

The rest of the cast and crew will be finalized soon and the movie will go on floors soon.

Yuvarathnaa Telugu to stream on Amazon Prime Video

Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Yuvarathnaa that released theatrically on 1st April had its OTT premiere on 9th April. This movie by makers’ surprised everyone as usually movies are released on OTT at least 30 days after their theatrical release.
However, this time around the makers chose to release the movie early on OTT due to rising cases of Corona in Karnataka. Earlier this month, the government of Karnataka decided to slash the occupancy to 50%. The makers of Yuvarathnaa however, met the authorities and requested them to push this decision by a few more days so that the movie can enjoy the opening collections, safeguarding the producers.

Now with occupancy slashed, the movie premiered on Amazon Prime on 9th April. The movie was however, available only in Kannada. It is now being reported that the movie will have its Telugu version streaming on Prime from tonight.

The movie also stars Saayyesha and Prakash Raj in key roles. SS Thaman has scored the music of this movie directed by Santosh A.
