Vakeel Saab which stated on a strong note at the Box-office had a good 1st week in the Telugu States. It collected 76Crs share worldwide in its 1st-week run. It registered few good numbers on its 10th Day being a Sunday. Vakeel Saab Andhra Theatrical rights valued at 40.35 Crs and it has attained HIT status in UA and West. Vakeel Saab still yet to reach the breakeven mark in 4 regions (Andhra) and it’s not an easy task to achieve going by current trade. Vakeel Saab has to collect as much as it can on Wednesday being a holiday in the Telugu States. Let’s see how much can it mint on that last best day. The film collections were effected by ticket price issues, lack of benefit shows and corona 2nd wave. Vakeel Saab could have easily collected another 20% to the present Collections.

Akhil’s Agent first schedule soon!

Akhil Akkineni and Surender Reddy’s action-thriller Agent will go on the floors soon. Agent’s first schedule will be shot in Goa and will start on May 2nd. The first look of the movie was launched recently and Akhil’s stylish makeover surprised everyone.

Akhil, meanwhile is gearing up for the release of his next film Most Eligible Bachelor opposite Pooja Hegde. The romantic drama is scheduled to release on June 19th and the actor is quite optimistic of success this time around.
Coming to Agent, according to our sources Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be playing a crucial role in this film.

Agent will have some high-octane action sequences and chases. Mohanlal’s role in this film would be central to the film’s plot and will drive it. Surender Reddy’s stylish taking is going to be the major highlight of the movie. Akhil’s role in Agent is reportedly tailor-made to his strengths and the makers are confident of its success.

Anil Sunkara under AK Entertainments will produce the movie and the music will be helmed by SS Thaman. Vakkantham Vamsi who earlier worked with Surender Reddy on films like Kick, Racegurram, etc. will be penning the story for Akhil’s Agent. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on December 24th.

Samantha gifts a car to her auto-driver fan

Samantha, through her philanthropic work, has won the hearts of everyone once again. The actress, keeping her promise that she made earlier has gifted a car to a female auto driver Kavitha. Kavitha, who hails from Sangareddy made an appearance on Samntha’s talk show Sam Jam and shared her ordeals that she went through during the pandemic.

Kavitha further revealed that she was a victim of domestic violence and decided to fend for herself and her family. She is the sole breadwinner of the family and drives an auto for survival in Hyderabad. This is how she has been taking care of her siblings.

Touched by the struggles of Kavitha, Samantha promised on the show that she will be gifting her a car. As promised, Kavitha received a car reportedly worth Rs 12.5 lakh from the actress. This move from Samantha has bowled everyone over.

The actress will be next seen in Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam. The movie is being jointly produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju. It is expected to hit the big screens next year

Shyam Singha Roy gets bigger and grander!

Nani starrer Shyam Singh Roy has generated quite a lot of buzz right from the time it was announced. The interest on the movie grew, even more, when the supernatural thriller announced that the cast would also include Sai Pallavi and Kirthi Shetty.

The movie set in Kolkata explores the theme of reincarnation is in its final schedule and will soon complete the shooting part. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the movie gets a grand look and are setting up lavish sets for the same. It is reported that a whopping Rs 6.5 crores worth of set is being erected on 10 acres for the ongoing schedule. This is one of the costliest sets ever erected for a Telugu movie.

The movie is directed by Rahul Sankirtyan and is being bankrolled under Niharika Entertainment banner. Mickey J Meyer will be composing music for this supernatural thriller. The film will also have additional cast of Madonna Sebastian and Murali Sharma in key roles.

Nithiin’s Check to stream online soon

Nithiin starrer Check that released earlier this year is all set to stream on SunNxt from 23rd April. Check, directed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti follows the story of Aditya (Nithiin) a con artist, and a chess player, and his journey through a jail sentence.

The movie failed to impress the audience and didn’t perform too well at the box office. Check which opened up with mixed reports and poor word of mouth failed to sustain at the Box-office. It registered average openings on Day 1 as the makers failed to create buzz and couldn’t promote well. The pre-release business of this movie is 16.8Crs and the closing collections were around 8.67Crs only.

The movie also starred Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Prakash Varrier in lead roles. The music was scored by Kalyani Malik and it was bankrolled by Bhavya Creations. The year has not been so good for Nithiin with both his films Check and Rang De failing to impress audiences and critics alike.

Now Nithiin has put all his hopes on Maestro, a remake of 2018 Hindi superhit Andhadhun. Andhadhu will also star Tamannah and Nabha Natesh in key roles. Maestro will be directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and the movie will be bankrolled by N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under Sreshth Movies.

Acharya shoot canceled as Covid strikes the team

Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Acharya became the latest victim of Covid wave as the makers decided to cancel the film’s shoot for now. The film has around 30 days of shoot left and will now resume after situation is assessed by the unit.

The movie was originally scheduled to release on May 13th but now it has to be pushed further and a new release date will be announced soon. Incidentally, Sonu Sood, who plays a key role in the film was tested positive for Covid further pushing the makers to cancel the shoot.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is being jointly produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company. The movie also stars Kajal Agarwal and in the lead role. Massive sets were erected in Marredumilli, Yellanadu, and Singareni Coal mines where the shoots were completed. 

The movie also came under controversy recently for its depiction of Naxalism. A poster was released on ram Charan’s birthday in which both Chiranjeevi and Charan were seen donning naxal attire. This depiction has come under question from the Anti Terrorism Organisation. The organisation has questioned the intent of the films. Additionally, it has also requested the CBFC to not issue certification to these films in a detailed letter.

It’s been more than a year that we witnessed the magic of Trivikram on-screen since blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapuram Lo. Ever since then fans have been eagerly waiting for an announcement on his next project. It was earlier speculated that the ace director will be directing the much-awaited NTR30. However, now that the project has been shelved, he has moved on to other films. It is being said that Trivikram is now ready with not one but two scripts.

He will be joining hands with Super Star Mahesh Babu for his next film. According to the reports, the script for the film is almost ready. The final stages of works are going on for the film and Mahesh will start shooting for this untitled project after he finishes Sarkaru Vari Paata.

Interestingly, Trivikram also has another script ready in hand. However, no official announcement has been made on it. It remains to be seen who the director will chose to collaborate on with this script.

KGF 2 makers looking for an alternative date

Rocking Star Yash’s KGF 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The teaser that released earlier this year has further heightened expectations of the movie. So far the teaser has raked in a whopping 180 million views and this explains the craze of the movie nut just in the south but also up north. This is mainly the reason that KGF 2 makers are leaving no stone unturned in giving it a grand release all over.

Directed by Prashant Neel, the action thriller was initially planned for a worldwide release on 16th July. But, the makers are now looking for an alternative release date. This is being done to ensure the movie performs to its best in the North Indian market as well. Currently, the Bollywood market is down, and releasing the movie anytime soon might not be the best of ideas. Hence KGF 2 makers are playing a waiting game to ensure better release date.

KGF 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sreenidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj in key roles. The movie is produced by Vijay Kirangadur’s Hombale Films banner. Ravi Basrur is composing the music for the second installation as well.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata gets Covid shock

Mahesh Babu starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata shoot had to be halted after one of its unit members tested positive for Covid. The unit is shooting for a crucial second schedule currently where a number of action scenes on Mahesh Babu have been planned.

Super Star Mahesh Babu recently joined the sets of the film amidst all the safety protocols. Certain key sequences on Keerthy Suresh were also planned during this schedule. The team will be back to shoot now after a gap of around 15 days once things are normalised on sets.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata will be directed by Parasuram and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. SS Thaman is composing the music for this action drama. The movie is set to release in January 2022.

Amidst all this action, another shoot of Mahesh Babu was canceled when it was announced that an ad film which Super Star was to shoot for is now postponed. The ad shot was scheduled to be shot on Mahesh on 21st and 22nd April has now been pushed to a further date due to Covid.

Icon script ready says Dil Raju

Ace producer Dil Raju has confirmed that his much-awaited collaboration with Allu Arjun through ‘Icon’ is pretty much on. He further confirmed that the movie is in development and that he loved the story narrated by Venu Sriram. He trashed all the rumors and said that the project is not shelved contrary to the public notions.

Dil Raju further confirmed that the total script work has been completed. He confidently claimed that he will work on this project with Allu Arjun for sure without fail. Expressing happiness over the script work, Raju said that the script is quite emotional and bound to touch hearts. He added that it’s a matter of pride that such a subject is coming out of his production house after Vakeel Saab.

Describing it as an emotional subject, Raju said that the film’s bound script is ready and that director Venu Sriram will be taking the charge of this film. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is gearing up for his next release Pushpa where he will be seen in a never before rustic and rugged look. Post Pushpa, the Stylish Star is also working with Prashant Neel who is currently busy wrapping up Salaar with Prabhas.
