Jr NTR to start Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu shoot on this day

Jr NTR will be returning to the small screen this year with the show Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu. The will be the first time the RRR actor will be hosting the quiz show. The show’s first three seasons were hosted by Nagarjuna while Chiranjeevi hosted the fourth season.

The show was supposed to start much earlier this year and the makers also aired promotional ads inviting participants for the show. However, like a number of TV shows and films, Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu also fell prey to the pandemic. The show will now resume its shooting from July 7th.

It is being reported that Jr NTR is charging a whopping Rs 4.5 crores per episode making him one of the highest paid TV hosts. He had earlier also hosted the inaugural season of Bigg Boss Telugu and received great acclaim.

On the work front, Jr NTR is currently busy with RRR shoot along with Ram Charan. Post this, he will move on to NTR30 under Koratala Siva’s direction.

Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy set in Kolkata explores the theme of reincarnation. The makers left no stone unturned to ensure the movie gets a grand look. For this purpose, a lavish set was also erected in the city outskirts. It is reported that the set costed the makers a whopping Rs 6.5 crores and is spread across 10 acres.

The movie set was recently destroyed due to incessant rains in Hyderabad putting a huge dent to the makers’ plans. However, with all issues settled that film back on sets, director Rahul Sankirtayan is looking to complete the final schedule and get the film ready for release.

Bankrolled under Niharika Entertainment banner, Mickey J Meyer will be composing music for this supernatural thriller. The film will also have additional cast of Madonna Sebastian and Murali Sharma in key roles.

KGF: Chapter 2 audio rights sold for a bomb!

KGF: Chapter 2 has been breaking one record after another even before its release. The latest feat achieved by the movie is the astonishing amount fetched for the audio rights. The movie’s audio rights for south Indian languages combined have been sold to Lahari Music and T- Series for Rs 7.2 crores.

This never heard before audio rights amount has got everyone in the movie industry stunned. This deal has now raised further expectations on this Yash starrer. KGF: Chapter 1 audio was also a huge success and its music played a key role in driving the plot.

KGF: Chapter 2 stars Sanjay Dutt, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, and Raveena Tandon in key roles. Prashanth Neel has directed this pan-India film while Hombale Films are producing it. KGF: Chapter 2 has music scored by Ravi Basrur whose music and BGM played a massive role in the first installment’s success.

The release date of September 9th is looking to be the strong one as of now. However, depending on the then prevailing conditions, the makers might also go for a Dussehra release.

Sundeep Kishan’s Gully Rowdy going for OTT release

Sundeep Kishan and Neha Shetty starrer Gully Rowdy is looking for a digital release. The film wrapped up shooting recently and the makers are zeroing on a release date which will be shared soon.

Writer Kona Venkat who’s also presenting this film recently took to Twitter and shared that the film is going to be a fun ride. It will be a combination of laughter and tension, he added.

Gully Rowdy now joins the likes for 18 Pages, Maestro, Virata Parvam, Narappa and Drushyam 2 to be released digitally. The film’s teasers and songs have evoked a positive response and from the looks of it, Gully Rowdy seems to be a fun ride.

Rajendra Prasad, Posani Krishna Murali, and Vennela Kishore co-star in this film, and all of them look in great nick. G Nageswara Reddy, who’s known for the comedy genre is wielding the megaphone for this movie. This will be his second collaboration with Sandeep after Tenali Ramakrishna BA. BL. The movie is slated to release on 21st May.

Boyapati about Akhanda release date

Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is the third one in the combination of Balakrishna and the director after Simha and Legend. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what kind of intense action the duo has packed in the film. Adding to this, the teasers of the movie have also taken the hype around the movie to great heights.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on May 28 according to original plans. However, it had to be postponed indefinitely due to the Covid second wave. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja enters production

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s next with Sarath Mandava went on floors today. The movie will be an action thriller based on true events. This will be Sarath’s debut in Telugu and he has already directed a film in Tamil titled KO2.

Billed as RT68, this film is indeed special for Ravi Teja as he will be entering the world of production. Ravi Teja will be co-producing the film under the banner RT Teamworks. Sarath had developed the script specifically keeping Ravi Teja in mind and the latter was pleased with the concept and okayed it immediately. The film is being billed as a unique action thriller that is based on certain true events.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s next project SSMB28 with Trivikram is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood. This will be the third film in this combination after Athadu and Khaleja. Both these films have a special place in the hearts of film lovers and fans are expecting no less than a blockbuster this time.

While the film has not even gone on floors yet, the latest news has stunned Tollywood insiders. Apparently, the Superstar will get a remuneration of Rs 55 crores + for this much-anticipated project. This humongous figure has left many stunned. Of late Mahesh Babu has been charging certain remuneration and is also jointly producing the film hence has a share in profits as well.

However, this time around Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainments will not produce and he will only be involved in the project as an actor. Mega heroes rejected but talented actor signed the project

While writing any story, the writer and director have a particular face in mind and weave the happenings around the actor. Something similar happened with this young director Satish Mallampati who wanted to cast one of the mega heroes in his directorial debut.

On the occasion of Allari Naresh’s birthday today Satish Mallampati’s film ‘Sabhaku Namaskaram’ was announced. The film will feature ‘Naandhi’ actor in the lead role and it will go on floors soon. However, it turns out Allari Naresh wasn’t the first choice for the film. In fact the director wanted to make the film with either Ram Charan or Allu Arjun under Dil Raju’s production.

However, due to various reasons the plan didn’t work out and the film was offered to the very talented Allari Naresh who okayed the script. The film is a political satire comedy and is being bankrolled by Mahesh S Koneru under East Coast Productions.

The rest of the details about the cast will be announced soon by the film unit. Allari Naresh was last seen in Naandhi which received great appreciation from audience as well as critics.

Nawazuddin to star in Chiranjeevi’s next?

If everything falls into place, we might actually get to see Megastar Chiranjeevi and Bollywood powerhouse Nawazuddin Siddiqui together. Reportedly there are talks of Nawazuddin starring in a key role in the upcoming Megastar film to be directed by Bobby.

Incidentally, Nawazuddin had earlier tweeted an appreciation message for Megastar Chairanjeevi after watching Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. He had also expressed interest in sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi in past.

According to a source, Nawaz showed interest in the project and has also requested a narration. Director Bobby may fly down to Mumbai soon for the narration. Apart from the Nawazuddin, there are also rumours of Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead opposite Megastar in this film.

Reportedly, Sonakshi has already okayed the project after a narration over phone and the official update by the makers will be revealed soon.

Nawazuddin had earlier acted in a negative role in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta. Incidentally, Sonakshi also made her Tamil debut opposite Rajinikanth in Lingaa.
