Nithiin to follow the trend, gearing up for OTT debut

After a spate of average films at the box office, Nithiin is looking to change his approach. The young hero is soon looking to enter the OTT sphere. The ‘Bheeshma’ actor is looking to act and produce a web series that will as per industry reports will go on floors in 2022.

Nithiin has been going through a few concepts and is looking to finalize a subject soon. The actor is currently filming for his upcoming project Macherla Niyojakavargam which is gearing up for a release on April 29th, 2022. MS Raja Shekhar Reddy is directing this action entertainer

Nithiin’s last film ‘Maestro’ released directly on OTT platform Disney + Hotstar. And now with a full-fledged OTT subject getting ready, the young actor will now join the ranks of Tollywood celebrities like Balakrishna, Samantha among others to enter the digital sphere.

Samantha to play a bisexual woman in upcoming international project

Balakrishna’s Akhanda pre business revised once again

Balakrishna’s Akhanda has been one of the most awaited projects right from the day it was announced. The film marks the return of the mass combo of Balakrishna and Boyapati. The massive success of Simha and Legend has heightened expectations. This has ensured that the film does a great pre-release business with great numbers registered across AP and Telangana.

However, now with the recent decision of the AP government to allow only four shows per day and restriction on special shows, the business will be adjusted yet again. According to reports, the Andhra ratio has now been adjusted to Rs 25 crores. It started with Rs 35 crore ratio mark and was later adjusted to Rs 28-30 crore mark before coming down to the current figure.

The additional cast featuring Srikanth as protagonist and Jagapathi Babu in a key role has surely raised the anticipation for the film. Balakrishna’s Akhanda stars Pragya Jaiswal as female lead and will hit the screens on December 2nd.

RRR to be the lengthiest film of SS Rajamouli’s career

SS Rajamouli’s love for larger-than-life action drama is going to go one notch above with RRR. The film is packed with grand action sequences, emotions and features two of the biggest Tollywood stars in it. When there is so much going on in the film, its is crucial that all elements are neatly packed and presented.

Rajamouli’s RRR underwent censor screening yesterday. The film reportedly has a runtime of 3 hours and 6 minutes making it the lengthiest film of Rajamouli’s career. His last film Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 had run tines of 2 hours 39 minutes and 2 hours 50 minutes respectively.

The film has been given a U/A certificate and while the runtime is slightly long, the makers have complete faith in Rajamouli to justify the run time by giving a great cinematic experience to the audience.

RRR is all set to release worldwide on January 7th 2022 and the RRR team ha planned grand promotions for the film in coming days

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya digital rights sold to leading OTT platform

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Power Star Ram Charan starrer Acharya will be hitting the screens on 4th February 2022. The film has been in production for quite some time and now the makers have finally decided to release the film after multiple deliberations.

This action entertainer has reportedly been now bagged by Amazon Prime Video. The OTT giant has acquired the digital rights of the film for a very good price and has agreed to a 50-day window for the release.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is also doing a solid pre-release business. Acharya has now achieved the distinction of being the first non- pan India film to do 100 Cr pre-release business in Telugu states.

Pooja Hegde and Kajal Agarwal feature in key roles in the film while Mani Sharma has composed music for this Koratala Siva project.

Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa is racing against the time for its release on 17th December. Less than a month is remaining for the movie’s release and both Allu Arjun and Sukumar are working tirelessly to ensure everything is on schedule. Pushpa censor screening will be held on 30th November.

This, despite the fact that certain shoot portions along with CG works are still in balance, is baffling many. The movie unit, on the other hand, has decided that come what may, Pushpa will hit the screens on December 17th as promised.

Coming to business, the makers have quoted the distributors to send across Rs 50 crore ratio to the Andhra distributors in order to seize the deal.  The film’s theatrical business of all the language versions has now crossed a whopping Rs 150 crores making it the highest in 2021.

Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this project and Devi Sri Prasad will be joining Sukumar and Allu Arjun yet again after Arya and Arya 2 as the music director. The film features Rashmika in the lead role opposite Allu Arjun. Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Dhananjay and Anasuya in key negative roles.

Megastar’s statement shows result, government to rethink their decision

Whenever Tollywood has faced a crisis, it is Megastar Chiranjeevi who has always stood at the forefront and looked for resolutions. Chiranjeevi’s initiatives during Corona such as Oxygen Banks, free vaccinations, crowdfunding to help the needy cine workers is a fact known to all.

Now, Megastar has once again stood firm on the ongoing ticket issue and helped in averting another crisis. The ongoing ticket issue has been a spot of bother for the entire industry. Many meetings between industry representatives and government officials have taken place yielding no results.

The Megastar who initially took a softer stand in the issue has upped the ante in recent times. His speech at Santosham Awards and recent Tweets on the issue have finally made the government soften its stance.

Minister Perni Nani has stated to the media that he will discuss the changes to the G.O 35 with Jaganmohan Reddy. It was this G.O that enabled the government to place the ticket prices at their will. This would have meant huge losses to exhibitors, distributors and the entire trade circle.

This is the first time the government has stated its plan to take a step back and the credit must go to Megastar Chiranjeevi for hardening his stance and delivering results.

RRR censor done yesterday

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR has completed its censor formalities in Hyderabad yesterday. The movie unit has expressed great confidence on the content. Further censor details will be out soon.

Rajamouli is completely assured of his product and just with one RRR Mass Anthem, he has cleared all the negativity or doubts about it. The song which was recently released in 5 languages is being loved all over and has made people sit up and take notice.

Now SSR is getting ready for the third single and if the inside reports are anything to go by, this will also be a musical feast. In the coming days we will be seeing more of such masterstrokes from Rajamouli’s promotional plan. RRR is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 7th January 2022.
