Valimai new version to be screened from Saturday

0

Ajith’s Valimai released on Thursday and has been performing well in Tamil Nadu. The film has put up an average performance in the Telugu states along with Karnataka and Kerala. Despite racy action sequences and Ajith’s solid performance, the film has received negative feedback for its length.

The movie with a runtime of 180 minutes has been termed much longer than necessary by many film lovers and reviews.

The makers have now decided to trim the movie length in order to make it pacier. 14 minutes of the movie has been removed and this new version will be screened all over from now on. The re-edited version includes 2 minutes from first half and 12 minutes from the second half. It now needs to be seen whether the movie sees a positive result from this or not.

Directed by H Vinoth, Ajith’s Valimai also stars Huma Qureshi and Karthikeya Gummakonda. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music. Boney Kapoor has produced this action entertainer. This is the second collaboration between Boney and Ajith after the 2019 courtroom drama ‘Nerkonda Parvai’.

Valimai follows the story of ACP Arjun Kumar (Ajith) and his war against a notorious bike gang wreaking havoc across the city.

With just a couple of weeks left for the release of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam, there has been silence from the team. Ideally, the team should be making back-to-back announcements by this time and this gap is making many fans anxious.

However, now all that is going to change. The makers of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam are soon going to release a new trailer of the film. The makers had last released a 33-second long teaser that featured a lot of fun visuals and the romantic side of ‘Vikramaditya’ and ‘Prerana’.

Now, the upcoming trailer is going to give a bigger peek into the world of Vikramaditya. It is going to be a massive boost for the promotions and will surely build anticipation for this pan-India biggie.

Radha Krishna has directed this romantic entertainer while UV Creations and T Series have jointly produced the film. Justin Prabhakaran is the music director of the film, and Thaman S has scored the background music of the film.

Radhe Shyam is the first in the series of pan-India biggies lined up for Prabhas. After this, the ‘Young Rebel Star’ has ‘Salaar’, ‘Aadipurush’, ‘Project K’ and Spirit lined up.

Balakrishna contacted me for Akhanda, says Perni Nani

AP I&PR Minister Perni Nani has been in continuous headlines for the past one year. He has been a part of several meetings on tickets issue and has made a number of controversial statements. Now the minister has made another sensational statement about the Akhanda producers and in particular on Balakrishna.

“I was earlier contacted by Akhanda producers through various businessmen and Nuzividu MLA. They wanted to meet me and discuss the tickets issue. Despite this being their requirement, they offered me a few time slots and said they would like to discuss during these times,” said Nani who claimed that he complied to their request.

“Later I received a call after much delay from Balakrishna himself who requested for an appointment of YS Jaganmohan Reddy,” revealed the minister. The CM said that this meeting would unnecessarily bring bad publicity for Balakrishna and instead directed to resolve their issue without any meeting.

This is a startling revelation from Perni Nani is quite a shock to many. Balakrishna has claimed that Akhanda didn’t need any government intervention. Balkrishna had also stated in the past that Akhanda became a blockbuster despite the existing ticket prices.

“Balakrishna pointed out that Akhanda was a massive success despite the tickets issue. He further added that he won’t meet Jagan even if his movie has exceeded the budget. Akhanda ran successfully even with these low rates and the only time he would meet the CM would be for the sake of his constituency and not for his films,” Balayya had famously said a few weeks ago.

Did Tollywood find the new marketing strategy ?

0

Seems like Tollywood has figured out a new marketing strategy. Releasing lyrical videos is the ongoing trend that’s been following recently. Coming to star hero’s songs, fans expect more than just a video and that’s the reason the makers are adding a dance moves of those stars. We all have witnessed the buzz created by pushpa’s hook step. Not only tollywood but it went places to Kollywood, Bollywood and even our cricketers made reels on that which made everyone talk about Pushpa.

And then comes the Superstar Mahesh’s Kalavathi song from Sarkaru Vari Paata. The hook step by Mahesh is the new talk of the town. Though the tune, lyrics, singing and music is top notch, it’s the Mahesh’s hook step that’s been talked much and took Kalavathi to next level. Most of the celebrities are dancing for that line and posting videos. So the number of views itself is the evidence that the marketing strategy is working out. So let’s wait and see how long this trend goes….

CBN and Nara Lokesh comments on Bheemla Nayak ticket prices

0

The situation in AP is known to all; the ticket prices and delayed passing of a new G.O are some tactics being played by the ruling government to attack Pawan Kalyan. Amidst these petty political moves, Bheemla Nayak has found unlikely support from TDP President and former AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and son Lokesh. CBN, in particular, was quite critical of the YCP government’s atrocities

Bheemla Nayak euphoria has engulfed Tollywood and fans all over the world are celebrating this much-awaited Pawan Kalyan starrer. However, ticket prices in AP is expected to put a dent in the overall collection as it happened in case of Pushpa.

CBN attacked the YCP government and said that Jagan is not leaving any industry in the state. He even compared Jagan’s treatment of Bheemla Nayak with government-aided. terrorism.

Nara Lokesh also accused the AP CM of trying to turn the state into a ‘begging bowl’. He also wished the movie emerges triumphant and overcomes conspiracies.

Bheemla Nayak is garnering great support from movie lovers and the reviews also have been quite encouraging. In such a situation, little support from the AP government would have done a world of good for Tollywood. However, the ego of one man triumphed over the overall welfare of hundreds.

Bheemla Nayak Review: Mass feast for cinema lovers and fans

0

Movie: Bheemla Nayak
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast: Pawan Kalyan, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen, Murali Sharma, Samyuktha Menon
Director: Sagar. K. Chandra
Produced By: Sithara Entertainments
Release Date: February 25th, 2022

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is finally back in front of the audience as a powerful cop with Bheemla Nayak. This action entertainer has faced countless hurdles and delays before its release. Fans over the past few months have waited with bated breath to see Pawan and Rana going all guns blazing at each other. During the promotions, both Trivikram and Naga Vamsi promised the fans a mass feast. Have the makers delivered on their promise? Will the audience get to witness vintage Pawan Kalyan? Let’s find out.

Story: Bheemla Nayak is a dynamic cop in a tribal forest area of Andhra Pradesh. His life takes a massive turn with the entry of Daniel Sekhar (Rana) a retired military man with political ambitions. Danny gets into trouble with the law in Bheemla’s jurisdiction and here starts a game of fire and a clash of egos. Both Danny and Bheemla are at each other’s throats vowing to destroy each other. What happens next over the next couple of hours and how Bheemla and Danny have a go at each other.

Performances: Pawan Kalyan and uniform is a combination that has always carried a great potential. Pawan’s performance is quite energetic at the same time quite mature and settled. The way he carries Bheemla Nayak’s inner turmoil effectively onscreen in truly applause-worthy. Rana on the other hand is playing the brash and unapologetic Danny and has given his career-best performance so far. The devil may care attitude has been portrayed brilliantly by the actor and he plays a perfect nemesis for Bheemla. It is quite tough to imagine anyone else playing Danny. Nithya Menen has got a meaty role and as always does full justice to her character in a story about male egos and their imminent clash. Samyuktha Menon has made a fine debut and is the one to watch out for in the future. Murali Sharma and Smuthrikani are dependable as always and are perfectly cast.

Analysis: Bheemla Nayak is a superb commercial adaptation of a 3-hour long Ayyappanum Koshiyum trimmed to 2 hours 20 minutes. The film has all the elements to get the masses charged from the first minute. Sagar K Chandra and Trivikram have taken special care to infuse commercial elements into the plot and remove certain songs and scenes from the original that were halting the flow of the film. Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography deserves special mention for capturing some stunning visuals and for portraying the mood of the film brilliantly. The fights although plenty, are a great asset to the film and look quite natural on-screen.

Plus Points:

  • Pawan Kalyan and Rana
  • Trivikram’s writing
  • Second Half
  • BGM and Elevation
  • Flashback

Minus Points:

  • First half
  • Songs on-screen picturization
  • Lag in some scenes
  • No emotional connect

Verdict: Overall, Bheemla Nayak is a more enjoyable adaptation of Sachy’s original story. The intensity and rivalry have been portrayed a few notches higher and add great value to the film. The movie is louder and faster than the and is the mass entertainer that fans were expecting from Powerstar for quite some time.

Balakrishna in top form, another star director in talks for a film

0

Balakrishna is on a signing spree after the massive success of Akhanda. Currently, Balayya is working on NBK107 with Gopichand Malineni. The first look of this project was released recently and garnered a great response.

The director has confirmed that this is going to be an action entertainer with mass elements to suit Balayya’s image. Gopichand Mallineni has done extensive research for the script. Shruti Haasan will play the female lead in this film.

After NBK107, there is a project with director Anil Ravipudi as well. Anil has narrated the complete script to Balakrishna who has okayed it. True to Balayya’s style, this movie is going to be an out-and-out mass action film. Anil Ravipudi is leaving no stone unturned to highlight its commercial elements and bring out the best.

‘This film will be different from all my previous movies and Balayya will be shown in a totally different avatar,’ said Anil Ravipudi in an interview.

Now there are reports emerging of another interesting combo. Reportedly, Koratala Siva is keen on a project with the ‘Akhanda’ star. The duo is currently in talks and if this project gets confirmed, it will indeed be a superb lineup for Balayya.
