Chiranjeevi’s Acharya occupies Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata date

0

The last-minute release date changes continue in Tollywood as the makers of Chiranjeevi’ Acharya announced the postponement of the film. Acharya will now release on April 1st, the makers revealed through a poster. Incidentally, April 1st is the date fixed for Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata as well.

Chiranjeevi’s Acharya joins the likes of RRR, Bheemla Nayak, and Radhe Shyam to push their release dates from the originally decided one. This Mega multi-starrer was scheduled to release on 4th February. However, due to the rising Covid cases and theatres shutting down across the country, the makers deemed February first week as an unsuitable time for the release.

Meanwhile, due to a large number of cast and crew testing Covid positive and some portions still left for the shoot, Sarkaru Vaari Paata will also be postponed soon. According to reports, the unit is now considering August 1st week as the new release date.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata shooting is going on at a brisk pace. The unit recently completed its Vizag schedule last week and some crucial portions are still left for the shoot. The Mythri Movie Makers team is also expected to make an official announcement on postponement soon.

Sumanth’s Malli Modalaindi To Have Direct OTT release

0

Sumanth’s Malli Modalaindi will have a direct OTT release. Malli Modalaindi was originally scheduled to release in theatres, but it is now going to release directly on OTT on a leading streaming platform.

Malli Modalaindi is a story about finding love after divorce, presented in a comical manner. It is a subject that needs to be explored more in Telugu cinema. Marrying a divorcee is often considered taboo in society. The film attempts to present this serious social issue in a light-hearted manner. This is the best way to present a social issue to a family audience. What happens when Sumanth falls in love with the divorce lawyer of his ex-wife forms the rest of the story.

The trailer looks promising as well. The comedy in such films can usually come across as cringe, but it seems to have worked out in this film. Malli Modalaindi will premiere directly on ZEE5.

Sumanth’s previous two films have both been thrillers that have failed to impress. The last time Sumanth struck a chord with the audiences was the romantic comedy Malli Raava. He will be hoping that Malli Modalaindi does the same. He also has an interesting film lined up after this, titled Anaganaga Oka Rowdy.

The film also stars Naina Gnaguly, Vennela Kishore and Suhasini Maniratnam among others. Keerthi Kumar is the writer as well as the director of the film, and Raja Shekar Reddy has produced the film under Red Cinemas. Anup Rubens is the music director.

Shocking Fact About Music Director Anirudh

0

Anirudh is the ace music director in the Tamil film industry. Anirudh handles the music for almost every big project in Tamil. But, it is not only Tamil, he has composed music for a few Telugu films as well.

He composed an absolute chartbuster for Pawan Kalyan in Agnyaathavaasi, with Gaali Vaaluga, Baitikochi Time Chuste, and so on. It is a shame that his songs were let down by a poor film. He was also involved in the music for Nani’s Gang Leader, producing the soulful Hoyna and a terrific background score, “Roar of the Revengers”.

Apart from composing music, he has also lent his voice to various films. Here’s a shocking and equally amazing fact about Anirudh: He has sung nearly 175 songs for other music directors, while also working on his own music. He has sung songs in Tamil as well as Telugu. Gaali Vaaluga, Hoyna, and Baitikochi Chuste are some of his most popular works in Telugu as a singer.

If you thought this was great, here’s more, Anirudh has not charged even a single rupee for the songs he has sung for other music directors. On average, a leading singer charges about 10 lakhs per song, which means he could’ve made 1750 lakhs or 17.5 crores.

This just shows his love for music. He sings because he wants to be a part of that project, and not because it will fetch him money. This is a true sign of a rockstar and an artist.

Anirudh has a terrific lineup of films ahead, they include Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, the multistarrer Vikram, and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Anirudh will also be serving as music director for NTR30.

Bheemla Nayak was one of the most anticipated Sankranthi releases for 2022. The fans of the Power Star could not wait to see their hero back on the big screen. Despite a lot of efforts to push the film, the makers were hellbent on a Sankranthi release on 12th January.

But finally, after several meetings, the film was postponed due to the clash between two big-budget films RRR and Radhe Shyam.

But come Sankranthi 2022, RRR and Radhe Shyam have been postponed themselves due to the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases in India. Just today, even the makers of Acharya announced that the film is being postponed due to COVID-19 cases.

Due to this, people thought that even Bheemla Nayak is also going to get postponed. Just then, the makers confirmed a release date. The makers released a special poster on the occasion of Sankranthi marking their entry date in theatres.

The makers have a fixed release date of 25th February 2022. The team will be hoping that the number of COVID-19 cases decrease in the country by that date.

Bheemla Nayak is an official remake of the Malayalam super hit film Ayyapannum Koshiyum. Bheemla Nayak is about a battle of egos between a retired havildar, played by Rana Daggubati, and an honest police officer, played by Pawan Kalyan.

The film also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, and Murali Sharma in prominent roles. Trivikram has written the screenplay for the film, and Saagar K Chandra is the director of the film.

Karnataka Announces Complete Shutdown Of Theatres

0

The Karnataka government has announced a complete shutdown of theatres from 15th January. This decision has been made in light of the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in Karnataka. Karnataka has reported 50,000 cases just yesterday, and more than 1.5 lakh cases in the last week.

Due to this, the government has decided to shut down theatres from 15th January till 31st January. This will have a massive effect on the collections of the Sankranthi 2022 releases.

Bangarraju is the biggest film to release for this Sankranthi, with many major biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam postponing their films due to COVID-19. This decision from the government will result in disastrous collections for Bangarraju in Karnataka. Luckily, Bangarraju has managed to collect extraordinary collections in the two Telugu states so far.

Sukumar Keen To Cast Bollywood Actors For Pushpa-2

0

Sukumar has always been in the conversation of top directors in Tollywood for a long time, but after Rangasthalam, he truly set the benchmark for how a commercial film is made. He received widespread applause in the Telugu states for his rural drama.

Now, with Pushpa-The Rise, Sukumar has risen to great new heights. He is now talked about not only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana but all over India. Sukumar is now in the conversation of top directors in India, right next to Rajamouli.

After the success of Pushpa-The Rise, Sukumar is now keen to cast Bollywood actors for Pushpa-The Rule. The Hindi version of the film has collected a mind-boggling 80+crores in its complete run and would have collected more if not for the Amazon Prime release.

The Hindi version managed to collect 80+ crores solely on Allu Arjun’s craze in the North. There were little to no promotions for the film in the North. Despite this, Pushpa went on to give a tough fight to Ranveer Singh’s 83.

Keeping this in mind, Sukumar seems keen on casting Bollywood actors for Pushpa-The Rule to generate even more numbers for Part 2. The makers have also promised to promote the film well for Part 2.

Pushpa-The Rule stars Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya in prominent roles. The shooting for the film is scheduled to start in February, and the makers are planning a release in December.

Chiranjeevi’s Acharya Postponed Due To COVID-19

0

Chiranjeevi’s Acharya has been postponed due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in India. The film was originally scheduled to release on February 4th,2022, but COVID-19 has other plans for the film. The makers took to Twitter to announce the postponement of the film.

Considering the scale and budget of the film, the makers have found it best to release it on a more convenient date. Rajasekhar’s Shekar will be taking the place of Acharya and is set to release on February 4th, 2022.

This is not the first Telugu film to be postponed this year due to COVID-19. Many biggies like RRR, and Radhe Shyam also postponed their films due to the virus. This is a worrying sign for the Telugu film industry, which had its hopes set on the biggies.

This is also disappointing news for Mega fans as this is the first time Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be seen together in full-fledged roles. The first looks and the teasers from the film generated massive hype around Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s role in the film. It is a shame that the audience will have to wait longer to see the father-son duo on screen.

Acharya also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, and Ajay among others. Koratala Siva is the director of the movie. Announcements regarding the new release date will be made soon.

His most recent work with Mahesh is the Sarkaru Vaari Paata album, which we are yet to hear due to repeated delays in announcements from Mythri Movies.

This is also not the first time Mahesh Babu and Trivikram have collaborated on a film. Their first film together, Athadu, became a blockbuster at the time of release. Their second film, Khaleja did not perform well at the box office but is one of Mahesh’s critically acclaimed films.

#SSMB28 also stars Pooja Hegde in a prominent role. National award-winning editor Navin Nooli is the editor of the film. R Madhie who has also shot Sarkaru Vaari Paata is the cinematographer of the film. The remaining cast of the film will be confirmed soon.

Tamannaah Dazzles In Kodthe From Varun Tej’s Ghani

0

The new single starring Tamannaah from Varun Tej’s Ghani titled Kodthe is out now. The song is a peppy number that will take place before the main fight in the film. Kodthe is a special performance song in Ghani where Tamannaah dazzles and shines.

This is not the first time Tamannaah has done a special song, she has previously done a special song in Sarileru Neekevvaru called Daang Daang.

Thaman who has been in top form lately has also composed the music for this song. His music is groovy and dance-worthy. Ramajogayya Sastry has penned the lyrics for the song. Although this is nothing like his previous songs, it is still decent for a special performance song.

Harika Narayan is the singer, choreography is by Piyush-Shazia, and Abhinav is the song coordinator. The Gongura Band is in charge of percussions.

Coming to the film, Ghani is a sports drama that stars Varun Tej as an aspiring boxer who has to challenge many hurdles to rise on top. The film also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Suneil Shetty, and Mahesh Manjrekar in prominent roles. Kiran Korrapati is the director of the film, and Allu Bobby has produced the film under Renaissance Pictures.

The film was supposed to release on 24th December 2021, but due to clashes with other films, it was postponed. It is now scheduled to release on 18th March 2022, if COVID-19 doesn’t play spoilsport.

AP Government’s Silence Over Bangarraju Ticket Rates

0

The silence of the AP Government over Bangarraju’s ticket rates has raised new questions. The ticket rates issue in Andhra Pradesh has been going on for a while now.

While most members from the Telugu film industry have opposed the new ticket rates, either directly or indirectly, Nagarjuna openly expressed his satisfaction with the current ticket rates in AP, creating controversy.

The AP government released a G.O recently with new ticket prices. The collectors strictly instructed theatres to sell tickets as per the G.O rates only. The government officials also conducted raids in various theatres to check the ticket rates. Various theatres that failed to stick to the new G.O were also shut down.

Just a few weeks back, Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy was also targeted with raids and shutdowns. But now, there seems to be silence over the ticket rates for Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju. The B and C centers are selling tickets for flat rates, and the government has chosen to stay silent.

There is a talk that the government has instructed theatres to hike ticket rates just before the Sankranthi releases. They have also assured the theatres that they will not interfere with the rates. This has served as a huge plus to Bangarraju, which is enjoying the benefits of hiked ticket rates and no occupancy restrictions till the 18th.

Maybe, this is why Nagarjuna said that he has no issue with the ticket rates in AP.
