It is a sad fact that the Rajamouli’s star hero’s immediate movie after Rajamouli’s movie will be a flop. Because he takes the hero’s stardom to next level. It is very important for the hero to select his next movies very carefully. 

After Baahubali 2 the next two outings of Prabhas are Saaho and Radhe Shyam. Both directors are small directors as per their previous movies scale and Budget. So giving a big budget movie to a small director is risky. Saaho is action genre and fetched extraordinary openings. The openings are because of the Prabhas’ Bahubali 2, but failed after opening day in all languages excluding Hindi. Now Radhe Shyam also opens up with ordinary reviews, Only Prabhas stardom has to pull the audience now.

Now the main thing is Prabhas has signed a film with Maruthi and is not a big budget film. Maruti is not a director to fill the movie with grand visuals or massive action episodes. Comedy entertainers are his cup of tea. Doing maruthi’s film in this time is the main worry for Prabhas fans. And there is a chance that Maruthi’s film will release in this year only. Prabhas has crazy lineup now With Salaar , Aadipurush , Project K. With Maruthi’s film Prabhas is taking a huge risk which may turn into costliest mistake in his career. Let’s hope all will be good for darling Prabhas.

Akhil’s Agent locks the release date

Akhil Akkineni who is looking for solid hit joined hands with the stylish director Surender Reddy. The duo is coming up with an action thriller titled ‘Agent’ under AK entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema. Vakkantham Vamsi is penning the story for the film. Well known Tamil music director Hiphop Tamiza is composing music for The film. The release date for Agent is locked and revealed.

The makers of the film in twitter announced the official release date with a new poster. The movie is releasing on 12th August,2022. Akhil Akkineni is looking macho and the poster design is so stylish. 

Akhil Akkineni has lot of hopes on the film. Fans believe that Akhil will look dashing in the direction of Surender Reddy. The young director delivered blockbusters at box office with Athanokkade, kick, Dhruva and Race Gurram. His previous outing is Sye Ra NarsimhaReddy with megastar. Let’s wait till August to know what’s in store for us.

Lead actress and music director confirmed for Vijay- Vamsi Paidipally movie

Vamsi Paidipally’s upcoming film starring Kollywood star Vijay is one surprise combo everyone is eagerly waiting to watch. While rumours over this combo were on for quite some time and the ‘Maharshi’ director confirmed these reports last year much to everyone’s shock.

Thalapathy 66 will be a bilingual that will be simultaneously made on Tamil and Telugu. This will be a pan- India project and the first time Vijay will be filming a direct Telugu film. Interestingly, Rashmika Mandanna has been signed as the female lead for the project. SS Thaman will compose the music for this project bankrolled by Dil Raju.

Dil Raju in his recent interviews showered terrific praise on Vamsi Paidipally and his script. The ace producer added that even Vijay loved the script and was eager to get started.

“When Vijay heard the script, he said that he has never heard a script like this in 20 years. To hear that from a star hero is always great,” Raju said during a recent interview.

Meanwhile, Vijay will be next seen in Beast directed by Nelson Dileepkumar. He will be paired opposite Pooja Hegde for the first time in this film.

Young Hero Sharwanand started his career in 2005 with Vennela. Later he got few chances for supporting roles in films like Lakshmi. Then he got a golden Oppurtunity with Gamyam that helped him to prove as an actor. He had his ups and downs through out his career. He got few hits like prasthanam, Journey and flops like nuvva nena and Sathya 2 in the starting of his career.

Later he got continuous hits with express raja, Run raja run, Mahanubhavudu, Sathamananbhavathi. These hits made Sharwanand a decent medium range hero. But deep down Sharwanand became monotonous with his acting, looks and dialogue delivery. So people considering his movies only if content is good. He is failing to pull the audience to theatres. His latest outing Aadavallu Meku Joharlu is the example.

Successful films are very important for Medium range hero’s. Sharwanand’s last few films are disasters. Audience are loosing interest to watch sharwanand’s movies in theatres . Adavallu Meeku joharlu failed to get decent opening at box office given well known cast and crew. Now the news is that producers are not interested to spend even 20Cr budget for sharwanand . With no other choice sharwanand has to cut off his remuneration for his upcoming films. Let’s hope the young hero will bounce back and gets his charm back.

Finally, the much-awaited day has arrived and Prabhas is back with his first release in 3 years- Radhe Shyam. Promoted as a tale of love vs destiny, this romantic drama has definitely raised the movie lovers’ intrigue with its trailers with larger-than-life visuals. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the fans and makers have placed massive expectations on this pan-India biggie. Let’s see if it packs enough punch and brings another hit to Prabhas’ filmography.

Story: Set in 1976, Radhe Shyam is a tale of love that has to pass through the test of destiny. The story follows Vikramaditya (Prabhas) a palmist who flees to Europe from India and meets Prerana (Pooja Hegde). Radhe Shyam is a saga of war between Prabhas’ palmistry that reads out a 100 years life and medical science that gives just a few months to live. What happens next? Who would win in the battle between destiny and modern medical science? This is what the story follows.


Performances: As already expected, Prabhas is the whole and sole of the film and carries the entire film on his shoulder. He carries the mystique along with the intensity of Vikramaditya quite beautifully and is a treat to watch on screen. Barring a couple of scenes, Prabhas looks great in the film and the makers have done a great job of portraying him in a fresh look. The fun element of Vikramaditya’s character will certainly remind many of Darling and Mr. Perfect days Prabhas. Pooja Hegde looks great and carries her career-best look in this film. Her casting with Prabhas looks great on-screen and the pair share good chemistry. The movie has a number of other proven performers like Sathyaraj, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedkar but none have well-etched characters to lend solid support to the narrative. Thaman’s BGM lends great value to some scenes in the film and he continues his great form here as well. Manoj Paramahansa captures the grandeur of this love story quite beautifully and his cinematography is the biggest strength Radhe Shyam

Analysis: Radhe Shyam has a terrific premise and in the age of routine commercial biggies, it definitely is a novel experiment. However, there are several glitches and half-baked elements in the story that end up as a huge letdown. This unique concept has been packed well with all the needed commercial elements. The lead pair chemistry is great and adds well to the movie’s flow. The score by Thaman is truly BGM is the heart of the film and adds great value to the film. Despite so much hype and so many elements going for the film, director Radha has failed to combine them effectively and present what could have been an epic love story. The editing and weak writing are other elements that act as major speed breakers to the film.

Verdict: Radhe Shyam is a passable experience if you’re into grand visuals and a Prabhas fan. The movie looks great, is a visual feast, and has beautiful larger-than-life production values. On the flip side, the movie has not offered anything worth its budget and Prabhas’ stardom. Director Radha Krishna missed combining great raw elements in his hand into making what could have been a solid love story. Looking at the trend, this love story is definitely destined for big opening numbers. But its ability to sustain at the box office will definitely be tested.

AP Government has finally given the hike for Radhe Shyam !

Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde is releasing tomorrow. Andhra Pradesh government on Monday approved a new G.O. on permitting new shows and ticket price hikes. Makers of Radhe Shyam waited for long and even postponed their film’s release for this ticket price hike. But the hike that has been promised was not granted by the government officially through a G.O. The film’s bookings too didn’t open in the booking portals till evening. However the AP government has finally given the hike for Radhe Shyam it seems.

An additional Rs 50/- was also allowed with ticket hike price which made the makers even more happy. AP Cinematography minister, Perni Nani has even mentioned this to help big budgeted films like Radhe Shyam and upcoming RRR. But as said there was still no official confirmation by the Goverment regarding this till today’s evening. This made the makers worried. But at last all their prayers have been listened but with a small change. The hike will only be Rs 25/- in the place of the earlier Rs 50/- The film will have revised G.O. ticket prices with Rs 25/- additional hike.

Radhe Shyam is going to be third Pan-Indian film for prabhas after Bahubali and Sahoo. The opening in AP is also very big on cards. This will also be a big budget for the film after Pushpa. The fate of the film also is important for the upcoming biggies like RRR and KGF. Let’s wait and see what happens.

ET records lowest USA Premieres for Suriya

Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan stylized as ET released today. Suriya is expecting to bounce back with this film. This will also be the comeback film of Suriya after his recent 2 films, Soorarai Pottru, released as Akasam nee hadduraa and Jai Bhim’s release on OTT. Suriya also had high hopes on this film hoping it to give him the much needed hit. But as per the reviews, the film achieved a negative talk and the opening figures of the film are not good even. This even was proved by the bookings in Tamil Nadu. Now the film is also not performing well in US Market. What surprises is, the film lagged behind all the recent Suriya’s films and is also the lowest performing film at US market for Suriya on the opening day.

Earlier films of Suriya such as 24, NGK, TSK (Gang), Masss (Rakshasudu) Anjaan (Sikinder), Singam 2 and Singam 3 performed better than ET which is really shocking. Some of these films even released way back. 24 registered $157,509, NGK $54,102, TSK $42,517, Masss (Rakshasudu) – $35,794, Anjaan (Sikinder) – $46,525, Singam 2 – 51,956 and Singam 3 $40,563. Now ET registered $19,966.

Suriya after Singam 2 failed to give a big hit. All his films released later didn’t do well at the box-office. 24 somehow managed to do good. His recent two films were released on OTT which surprised everyone. His last theatre release film was Bandobast in 2019. He joined hands with the successful director Pandiraj hoping to bounce back. But it didn’t help him. He must seriously do a rethinking. It’s high time for him. let’s see how his ET fares in the weekend.

Master Director Rajamouli announced the start of countdown to RRR. RRR is just two weeks away. The most awaited film all over India is releasing on 25th March. He mentioned that count down will kick off from 14th March. But the celebrations among Ram charan and NTR fans are already started with this announcement. The team is releasing a song ‘Ethara Jenda’ on 14th March.

Usually Rajamouli will end the movie with a joyful song and we all know that how magadheera’s end song became super hit after the release. As per Rajamouli’s tweet ‘Ethara Jenda’ is a joyful song that comes at the end of the movie. But RRR team couldn’t hold the excitement and chose the song for kick starting the 10 days count down for the release.

The poster features Ramcharan, Tarak and Alia Bhat look like they dressed up for a dance number. Hope this song will be a instant blockbuster so that the excitement carries till the release. Though the previously released songs got good reviews but failed to become trending chartbusters. The audience know that Rajamouli will use those songs well in the movie so they didn’t get disappoint though they failed to create a mark. Let’s hope ‘Ethara Jenda’ will satisfy the audience and gives the enough mileage.

Prabhas who once was a regional hero became the country’s sensation over night with the huge success of Bahubali. The hardwork and dedication he put into the film swept the people completely. So much so that he was considered as Bollywood hero now. Prabhas did Sahoo as his next Pan-Indian film after Bahubali. This film was a stylish action drama. Still it managed to gross more than 100 crores alone in Bollywood market which is shocking. Bahubali anyways made even bigger than this.

Prabhas has a record of scoring 100 crores+ openers consecutively with Bahubali 2 and Sahoo worldwide. But the question is can he create the same record again for the third time with Radhe Shyam. If he does this, he will be the only hero to have three 100 crore opener films consecutively. Well this is a major feat. Let’s wait and see what happens.
