‘Adipurush is a very important project for me’: Prabhas

Prabhas’ Adipurush is undoubtedly an extremely crucial film for the pan-India star. His last two films Radhe Shyam and Saaho have not exactly given the results that he expected. This is why Prabhas and Om Raut are leaving no stone unturned to ensure viewers get the best experience on this one.

Speaking about this upcoming mythological drama, Prabhas revealed some interesting snippets about the film. He admitted that this is an extremely important project to him and something that he holds pretty close to his heart.

“Adipurush is sentimentally an extremely important project for me. I am lucky to have a director like Om Raut handling this film. “I had called him after three days and asked ‘should I do it?’ because if I do make mistake it will be very wrong,” he added.

The mythological drama is based on Ramayan and is being directed by Om Raut. Prabhas will be playing the titular role of Adipurush (Lord Ram). The film also features Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh. The pan India project will release worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

This big-budget extravaganza is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-series, Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

Usually, when there is a film release of a Mega hero, there are active promotions for the film and hype is on another level altogether. Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Ghani is releasing on April 8th and contrary to the scenario, there seems to be no buzz and craze for the film.

Ghani has failed to create even minimum buzz and there seems to be no interest for exhibitors and distributors as well. With KGF 2 and Beast also around the corner, an April 8th release seems highly risky for Ghani. Going by the lack of promotions for the film, the team is most probably looking to postpone the release to a later date.

The success of RRR has brought great joy and relief to the entire team. The movie is creating record after record in overseas territories as well as domestic ones. While the entire film industry as well as fans are enjoying the RRR mania, some sections of media reported that all is not well between Alia Bhatt and Rajamouli.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has added another feather to its cap. This time, the achievement is a massive one as Pushpa surpassed other Bollywood biggies to record terrific TV ratings in its Hindi premiere. This Allu Arjun starrer action entertainer had its Hindi premiere on 20th March and registered Urban TV Ratings of: 4.35 while the Urban +Rural TV Ratings stood at 4.23.

Compared to this Bollywood action thriller Sooryavanshi which starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif scored Urban TV Ratings of: 2.7 while the Urban +Rural TV Ratings stood at 1.68. Similarly, Ranveer Singh starrer sports biopic 83, stood at Urban TV Ratings of: 1.79 while the Urban +Rural TV Ratings stood at 1.07.

Pushpa has comfortably beaten these Bollywood biggies featuring some of the biggest stars in Hindi. This shows the pull Allu Arjun has in the north audience. In fact, Pushpa’s Telugu TV premiere was also a huge blockbuster.

Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is in its final stages and nearing completion. Earlier this week, rumours surfaced that the film’s shooting portion has been completed. However, that’s far from true and some patchworks and one song shoot are still remaining to be shot.

The movie is slated to release on May 12th and the promotions will start from April mid. Already two songs from the movie have released. The first single ‘Kalaavathi’ received a terrific response and even hit the 100 million mark on YouTube. The second single ‘Penny’ featured Mahesh along with his daughter Sitara and brought up 18 million views in just 24 hours. This is an all-time TFI record.

The shoot of Sarkaru Vaari Paata will be completed in the next few days and the other three songs will also be released subsequently. So far the response to ‘Kalaavathi’ and ‘Penny’ has been superb and as mentioned by Thaman, the mass songs which will release next will also be a feast to the fans.

This Mahesh Babu starrer is all set to release on May 12th. Keerthy Suresh will be seen opposite Mahesh Babu. Parasuram is directing this action entertainer while Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this much-awaited project.

Rajamouli’s RRR sets up a record in Hindi belt

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is continuing its rampage at the box office across the world. While it has already crossed $10 million at the US box office, domestically also it has grossed Rs 100 crores in multiple languages long back. This kind of box-office storm has stunned many and the film is sure to cross many milestones.

Coming to the Hindi version, the movie is continuing its stupendous run at the box office and collected an impressive Rs 13.5 crores on Wednesday. With this, the movie’s 6 day total has now reached Rs 121 crores so far in Hindi. This is a record first week (post-pandemic) for Hindi and this Rajamouli film is surely slated to achieve much more in the coming days.

The first weekend was a terrific one for Rajamouli’s RRR. However, what’s even more impressive is the way the film maintained a hold on the weekdays as well. Overseas, RRR (Telugu) is performing on par with Baahubali 2 (Telugu) and is expected to beat the latter.

Allu Bobby about AP Government ticketing portal

The AP Government ticketing portal is now in its final stages and will take a proper form pretty soon. From April 1st AP will have a government-backed online ticket portal facility. The government is planning to create a system where the charges will be lesser than private ticketing portals.

It is being speculated that Just Tickets is the front runner to bag the tender of ticketing portal and is presently the L1 in the ongoing process. Allu Bobby, who is one of the directors of Just Tickets has stated that it is not the case. He stated that while Just Tickets has made a bid for the tender, they haven’t received any results yet.

However, as per strong buzz, Allu Bobby’s Just Tickets is almost confirmed to have received the tender. A committee was earlier established to develop a blueprint and implementation mechanism for this new system.

It needs to be seen what happens the new ticket prices will be with the announcement of this new system. The new mechanism will be managed by AP State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation.
