Suriya 46 Starts Officially

The launch of Tamil star Suriya’s new film, tentatively titled Suriya 46, was held today. The interesting news is that the film will be directed by Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri. The makers are excited to start the film, and fans are delighted as Suriya 46 starts officially.

The film kicks off with a grand Pooja ceremony in Hyderabad, attended by the main cast and crew. Producer Naga Vamsi took to X (once known as Twitter) after the event and shared an emotional note and said that it feelss truly magical to work with the Ghajini actor and it’s an absolute honor.

Suriya 46 starts officially. And the producer stated that the film will be a fun family entertainer and is slated for a summer 2026 release. Mamitha Baiju plays a crucial role in the movie, while GV Prakash Kumar joins hands with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru.

The film also stars Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in major roles, and Nimish Ravi and Navin Nooli take up the jobs of cameraman and editor.

Bellamkonda Sreenivas is all set to arrive with his next film, Bhairavam. It is widely known that the actor remade the Telugu blockbuster Chatrapati in Hindi, which miserably failed at the box office. Bellamkonda Sreenivas says the Chatrapathi remake was a mistake.

During a promotional interview for Bhairavam, Sreenivas opened up about remaking Prabhas and Rajamouli’s blockbuster Chatrapathi in Hindi. He cited the examples of Telugu actors like Rana and Charan who worked in Bollywood. 

The Alludu Seenu actor thought Charan’s Zanjeer didn’t work because it was a remake of a Hindi film. Producer Jayantilal Gada Garu told Srinivas that mother emotion and stepbrother emotion will always work in the Hindi belt, and the actor also thought people there wouldn’t have watched Chatrapathi.

Bellamkonda Sreenivas says the Chatrapathi remake was a mistake, and he believed that Rajamouli’s strong emotions would be liked by Hindi audiences. “Due to COVID, the audience’s taste changed completely. I was in a dilemma during the shooting stage, which is why I didn’t give my 100%. I shouldn’t have remade such an iconic film,” said Sreenivas.

Meanwhile, Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, also stars Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj in crucial roles. The team is currently taking part in promotional interviews for the film.

They put a demand to give a percentage basis instead of the current rental basis system. But it is learnt that the Producers are not willing for this, creating a conflict. The Theatre Owners have conducted a meeting today and are learnt to have decided to close the theatres, as said above.

This is definitely a big shock for the Film Industry as there are many exciting films lined up for release next month. There is Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Thug Life, Bhairavam, Kubera, Kannappa, and Kingdom. There will be a release every week. So this will be a huge blow to these teams and films as well.
