Rs 200Cr only for cast and crew remunerations for Pushpa: The Rule

After the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise, the expectations for the sequel Pushpa: The Rule have gone sky-high. Both Allu Arjun and Sukumar are leaving no stone unturned to ensure this pan-India biggie surpasses the success of the first installments.

The story is ready and Sukumar is working on the screenplay and minor script changes. The shoot is expected to start in August. Pushpa: The rule has become an extremely lucrative project for the makers and team. The movie is already receiving huge offers already in languages.

The makers have decided to spend big on this project as they are confident of good returns from this sequel. This is why they are offering record remunerations for all the cast and crew. Only the remuneration part is expected to be around Rs 200Cr and the making cost of the film is estimated more than Rs 150Cr.

Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this project in association with Muttamsetty Media. Devi Sri Prasad will again compose the film’s music and Rashmika will be opposite Allu Arjun in this action entertainer.

Buyers are still waiting for a meeting on Acharya loss compensation

Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Acharya has taken a severe beating at the box office. The film released on 29th April amidst mostly negative reviews and extremely low buzz. Even on the first day, Acharya saw terrible occupancies and it noticed severe drops on the second day with the trend continuing on following days as well.

The film ended up being the biggest disaster in Tollywood and the makers and Koratala Siva have promised that they will compensate for the losses. The makers had promised that they will arrange a meeting soon to fix a compensation amount.

Despite such a delay, there is no update about this meeting and buyers are still waiting for clarity. All buyers are asking for 50% of rights as compensation as they recovered only 15%-25% of the rights.

The movie was released amidst mostly negative reviews with many terming it the weakest movie by Koratala Siva so far. Acharya’s outdated storyline and subpar screenplay ended up being its biggest drawbacks. Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, and Jishu Sengupta featured in prominent roles. Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment bankrolled this ambitious project.

For the last couple of years, Pawan Kalyan has adopted a strategy that’s focused on finishing projects in quick time. He is doing safe projects and remakes with proven stories that can be a profitable venture for everyone. With his next project Hari Hara Veera Mallu under Krish’s direction, he has slightly changed his strategy. But it seems to be backfiring at the moment.

Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak gave decent returns to the producer and they refunded the buyers who has lost the amount as well. Even remuneration wise both the movies were quite satisfying for Pawan Kalyan. After a series of smaller films, Powerstar has now signed a big pan India project Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The shooting is going on at the moment and the ‘Bheemla Nayak’ actor is putting up great efforts for the film.

But all is not well according to industry circles. Reportedly, Powerstar is now regretting signing this project. The budget has already gone out of control and its making the situation quite tense for the makers. The producers have to release the movie with a deficit. Adding to this, the working days of Pawan Kalyan have now doubled up compared to his previous few films.

Due to these issues, Pawan is not happy Krish and his planning as well as execution. Krish is reportedly failing in delivering what he promised before the movie went on sets. Powerstar had planned of doing quick films but Hari Hara Veera Mallu is going in another way.

Kamal Hassan speaks about the Indian 2 project

Shankar’s Indian 2 featuring Kamal Haasan has been the most controversial project in Kollywood. The sequel to 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian’ this film has seen multiple court orders and allegations from makers on both Shankar and Kamal Haasan among many controversies.

It was earlier rumoured that Indian 2 is now shelved. However, speaking in a recent media interaction, Kamal Haasan cleared some air about the movie. The film’s shooting came to an abrupt end last year. But now, the veteran Kollywood actor has confirmed that the shooting will resume soon. This statement from ‘Ulaganayagan’ has given great joy to his fans.

Indian 2 also brought great legal troubles for Shankar as well. Lyca Productions who are backing the project accused that the maverick director already used up Rs 180 crore of the allotted Rs 236 crores budget. The makers have demanded a restraining order on Shankar from working on any other project till Indian 2 is completed.

According to a mutually agreed settlement with Lyca, Shankar was supposed to resume directing the project last December. This sequel requires a shoot of around 100 Days more and is targeting Diwali 2022 (for now).

Meanwhile, Shankar is currently busy with Ram Charan’s RC15 while Kamal Haasan is awaiting the release of his action thriller Vikram.

Salaar is the deadliest combination in Indian cinema says producer

With every passing day and every update coming out, the hype for Salaar is growing and growing. Prashanth Neel had earlier stated that the fans will witness a never-before like Prabhas on the big screen. Even the producers Hombale Films are leaving no expense to ensure the movie looks grand and action sequences looks terrific.

Speaking about the movie, producer Vijay Kirgandur has promised that the combination of Neel and Prabhas will deliver an extraordinary output.

“We set the bar very high for Salaar. We have Prabhas, India’s No. 1 film Baahubali Hero along with No.2 film KGF director Prashanth Neel,” said Vijay about the exciting combination.

“The combination has created buzz and we set the bar so high, will try our best and achieve something big with Salaar The Saga,” he added.

There were rumours about a two-part release for quite some time. And now these rumours have been confirmed by the producer himself. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Prabhas in an out-and-out commercial and action role.

Due to the massive positive buzz for the movie, Hombale Films have decided to extend the budget of the film. The makers have decided to utilize and market Prabhas’s craze and have decided to increase the budget by about 15-20%. Hence, going for the movie in two parts seems to be a commercially viable option for makers.

The action thriller will also star Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in key roles and is slated for a Summer 2023 release.

The much-awaited comedy entertainer F3 is just a few days away from release. This multistarrer has seen several postponements and now the fans are eager to find out what Anil Ravipudi has kept in store for them. However, there seems to be a slight setback to the movie now in terms of USA premiers.

The F3 USA premiers before 6:30 PM are being canceled now and the shows will only start after 6:30 PM EST on the eve of movie release on 27th May.

The recently released trailer garnered a great response. F3 trailer recorded more than 10 Million views in 24 hours. The response is extraordinary from the audience the movie has created great hype. The trailer promises to be an out-and-out family entertainer.

However, the success of the trailer didn’t translate to the advance bookings. Despite the early opening of bookings, the sales are not up to the expectations. The makers are now hoping these bookings will pick up a day before the release.

In a recent interaction with media channels, Sai Pallavi spoke about her disinterest in doing special/item songs. When the actress was asked whether she would dance in Pushpa if she was offered the viral Oo Antava Mawa song, she simply stated that she would be uncomfortable in those clothes.

Sai Pallavi was also asked whether she would have accepted the Jigelu Rani song from Rangasthalam. But her response remained the same, a NO. She said that item song clothes are not comfortable for her.

Sai Pallavi further added that even if she was offered a large sum of money for an item song in the future, she would not take up the offer. She stated that she does not like wearing clothes that don’t suit her. I am irritated and uncomfortable when my dress isn’t right she expressed.
