Nithin – Rashmika’s Bheeshma theatrical rights sold for good price . Worldwide theatrical rights of the film sold for 22.7 Cr and need to collect 23 Cr share for Hit Status. The film is directed by Venky kudumula and produced by Naga vamsi under Sitara Entertainments .
Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja who is currently in bad phase with back to back disasters at box office after Raja The Great which released in 2017. Disco Raja which released in January this year also did not fair well at BoxOffice.

SSRajamouli directorial Pan India film RRR starring Young Tiger NTR and Mega Power Star Ram Charan has set all time Indian record for pre release business in USA.
RRR USA rights were sold for 40.25cr making it the biggest in this area. The breakeven Mark is around $11M. Only 3 Indian films (Baahubali2, Padmaavat and Dangal) have crossed this mark.
SS Rajamouli previous film Baahubali2 holds the all time record in USA as it collected $20.5M in all languages with Telugu version alone being $12.4M.Can RRR break it? We will have to wait and see!

The team is planning to organise a special event to celebrate this Blockbuster success with fans and distributors on March 1st as the film will complete 50 Days of its theatrical run. Initially they planned this event in Vijayawada, but due to some reasons the team did not get permission from Vijayawada Police Department. Many people in trade have an opinion that Sankranthi Season is meant for huge openings during the festival week and decent numbers after that as they consider it to be weak season coming off festival days.
Earlier, we had some examples of small films like Shatamanam Bhavati, Soggade Chinni Bayana which got limited theatres due to heavy competition but went on doing great numbers in their full run.
Sankranthi 2020 showed that 2 big films occupying 95% screens during festival days registering record 1st week numbers continue to set cash registers ringing even after 5 weeks.
Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikuntapuramloo released on January 11th and 12th collected 35cr and 45cr respectively after 1st week which is unheard of earlier in TFI.
There were very few films which went on collecting more than 30cr after 1st week and all of them had no competetion. This is the first time in TFI that 2 films released in competetion have broken all kinds of records.
Extraordinary run of these 2 films might left SS Rajamouli thinking of releasing his magnum opus RRR for Sankranthi. This would be the first festival release in his entire career.

His last film Whistle rights are brought by East Coast Productions for a whopping price of 9.75Crs.
Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj Telugu states right are bought by the same distributor who made profits with Whistle closed the deal for 11cr with Andhra being 5.5cr and Ceeded 2.7cr. The breakeven mark is set at Vijay’s biggest earner Whistle which collected 10.5cr in Telugu states.

The collections are below par and less than the hero’s last release Dear Comrade. The Theatrical Rights of the film sold for 24 Crores. The film will end up as a Big failure at the box office.
Other releases in weekend from new comers like Life Anubhavinchu Raja, Oka Chinna Viramam, Siva143 had dismal collections and will end up as a disasters at the box office.
After a disastrous performance in it’s first week Jaanu ended up its run this weekend with more than 50% loss to all the parties involved.
Due to dismal performance from new releases Sankranthi Blockbusters continue to rake respectable shares at box office even after 5 weeks of their release.
