Surya, who recently won a national award with the movie “Sooraraipotru”, has been in the news for winning seven awards in various categories at the IIFA stage with the same movie, and his latest comments have gone viral on social media.
The 67th South Indian Filmfare Awards ceremony was held in Bengaluru on October 9 with grandeur. The “Sooraraipotru” film won seven awards including the best actor award for Surya, competing in many categories. On this occasion, Surya responded on stage in his style and made some emotional comments about the film’s director Sudha kongara.
He thanked Sudha for giving him “Sooraraipotru” at the right time and even dedicated the award to Sudha Kongara. Surya almost was into tears at that moment.
And after that Surya made some interesting comments on the role of Rolex played by him in the movie “Vikram”. He said that whatever he does today is because of Kamal Haasan sir and he has inspired him to be at this level as an actor. When Kamal called and told him that there was an opportunity, he didn’t want to let it go. He wanted to share that with everyone. Surya said that he believes that growth comes from doing something that scares you. So at the last minute, he decided to do the role of Rolex.
Surya wanted to tell Lokesh that he would not do this role. But finally, he did it just because of one person. He is the hero of the world, Kamal Haasan, said Surya.
