Thaman, Dont Blast Us

0

Thaman, the No. 1 music director in Telugu cinema, has contributed massively to many blockbusters with his terrific background score and chartbuster songs. However, in recent times, he has been facing heavy criticism for his sound mixing. Especially, Thaman’s work for Akhanda 2 is getting severe backlash.

Keeping all other films aside, for Akhanda’s success, Thaman was undeniably one of the biggest reasons. His powerful background score and impactful sound design hugely elevated the film. So despite the recent criticism, everyone expected Thaman to make a strong comeback with Akhanda 2.

But shockingly, Thaman delivers very sluggish and inconsistent sound mixing this time. In several portions, the audio even feels irritating; the constant loudness makes the song lyrics unclear, and some dialogues are also not in sync. Thaman was the No. 1 positive point for the first part, according to the audience and critics’ feedback, but in Akhanda 2, his background score is being listed as one of the major negatives and is receiving backlash. This clearly shows how drastically the perception has changed.

Even audiences are openly saying, “Thaman, enough of this loud and blasting music. Stop blasting us and bring back the vintage Thaman who scores the music perfectly, syncs with the film, and evokes emotions.”

While the story and scenes of Akhanda 2 are not as strong as the first part, there were still plenty of moments where Thaman had scope to elevate the film. Instead, he went for continuous loud sound, which affected the experience.

Akhanda 2 Movie Review: Noise Over Narrative

0

Movie Name: Akhanda 2: Thaandavam
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast:
Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha, Harshaali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, Aadhi Pinisetty, and others
Director: Boyapati Sreenu
Produced By:
Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena
Release Date: 5th December 2025

Akhanda 2 is the career’s biggest film for both Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu. After facing several issues right before its release, the film was finally released in theaters today with premieres las night. Let us find out how well this crazy sequel has been made.

Story:

The film picks up where the first “Akhanda” left off, centering on Scientist Janani (Harshaali Malhotra), daughter of Bala Murali Krishna (Balakrishna). She’s on a mission to create an antidote for a dangerous virus, facing numerous challenges along the way. Akhanda (Balakrishna) arrives to save her, ultimately protecting the country and fulfilling his promise to Janani.

Performances:

Balakrishna is outstanding and carries the whole film with his powerful screen presence, strong dialogue delivery, and solid performance. Samyuktha does well within her limited role, while Aadhi Pinisetty is unimpressive in an underwritten character. Harshaali Malhotra fits her role but doesn’t get any standout moments. Saswata Chatterjee, Kabir Duhan Singh, Sarvadaman Bannerjee, and the others are decent.

Analysis:

Boyapati Sreenu starts Akhanda 2 on a strong note by showing glimpses of the first part and creating a smooth continuation for the sequel. The trademark grand introduction of the hero and the setup of the villains work well.

The film then moves into some ordinary portions and becomes dull for a while. The daughter’s introduction is just okay, and Samyuktha’s scenes are not very effective. The “Jajikaya” song is decent, and just when the lag begins, the pre-interval episode lands strongly. The setup for Akhanda’s arrival is perfect, and this time he is presented almost like a divine force, delivering a massive high.

After such a powerful interval block, the second half begins well but soon shifts into an uneven narration. Boyapati includes three to four major episodes, including the climax.

The attempt to explain Sanatana Dharma is interesting at first but later becomes lengthy and preachy. Aadhi Pinisetty’s mysterious and cruel villain character fails to create the required threat and appears weak. The fight involving Lord Hanuman has a few strong moments. The climax, as expected, is filled with Boyapati’s signature over-the-top action, which will appeal to fans and mass audiences.

Positives:

  • Balakrishna’s Screen Presence/Performance as Akhanda
  • Interval Episode
  • Second Half’s Initial Moments
  • Climax Episode

Negatives:

  • Inconsistency in the Screenplay
  • Lack of a Proper Emotional Connection
  • Overly Unrealistic Sequences
  • Thaman’s Loud Background Score

Akhanda 2 Review and Verdict:

Akhanda 2 is an unrealistic and extremely over-the-top film from start to finish. It does have several powerful moments where Balakrishna shines. Though the film lacks strong emotional depth and some scenes feel too exaggerated, it can still be enjoyed if watched with the right expectations, especially for fans of the Balakrishna–Boyapati combination.

Peddi Makers Strongly Condemn Rumours

0

Responding to the rumors of postponement, the Peddi makers officially announced that the new schedule of Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s much anticipated film begins tomorrow in Hyderabad, followed by an extensive shoot planned in Delhi.

The entire talkie portion will be completed by the end of January. Moreover, the post-production work is happening in full swing soon simultaneously, and everything is perfectly aligned for the grand worldwide release on March 27th, 2026.

Although the Peddi makers have made an official declaration, industry sources strongly point out that the movie will be postponed, with Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh set to be released at that time.

Rumors and changes in release dates are nothing new for the Telugu film industry, and we must wait to see the final outcome.

With Anil Vishwanath as the showrunner, the film is directed by Nani Kasaragadda. 12A Railway Colony is produced by Srinivas Chitturi under the Srinivas Silver Screen banner, with Pawan Kumar presenting it. 0

Actress Krithi Shetty, who is currently waiting for a solid theatrical success, is now facing a series of unexpected postponements for her films. Earlier, her movie with Karthi, Vaa Vaathiyaar, was pushed to a later date.

Not just that, but her other completed films, Jayam Ravi’s Genie and Pradeep Ranganathan’s LIK, have also been postponed even after finishing their shoots.

Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar (titled Annagaru Vostaru in Telugu) was scheduled to release in theatres tomorrow, but it has now been delayed due to financial issues.

With this surprising turn of events, all three of Krithi Shetty’s upcoming films have been postponed. She currently doesn’t have many big projects lined up, so she is hoping these movies will release soon and help give her career the boost she needs.

Dhurandhar Banned In These Countries

0

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film, Dhurandhar, the latest spy action drama, is doing a rampage at the box office, and the film is doing equally well in overseas and India, but it has been banned in several countries.

It is well-known among Hindi cinema followers that films depicting Muslims negatively are often banned in the Gulf region and surrounding countries. Films like “Fighter” and “Tiger 3” faced similar issues, and now “Dhurandhar” has been banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Dhurandhar Box Office: Turning out to be a Major Blockbuster

According to the makers, the movie has collected more than 300Cr+ gross in 1st week. The Gulf countries market is a huge market for Bollywood films, and the non-release in these countries has a big impact on the film’s collections. However, the film is expected to have a solid long run in theaters as it received unanimous positive reviews from audiences.

Akhanda 2 Targets Career-Best Opening for Balakrishna

0

Within a few hours, Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 premieres will start worldwide, much to the delight of fans who have massive expectations for the film, and it is all set to register the career-best openings for the actor.

In terms of budget and business, Akhanda 2 emerged as the highest one for Nandamuri Balakrishna. The film cleared all hurdles and is releasing in theaters tomorrow and premieres tonight. The movie is releasing with big ticket prices, with a flat ticket rate of 600 Rs for premieres, and it also has a considerable hike for regular shows as well in the Telugu states.

The initial bookings are solid and much better than expected. Daaku Maharaaj scored the best opening for Balakrishna with 51 Cr+ Gross worldwide, and irrespective of word of mouth, Akhanda 2 is set to beat this with its initial bookings trend. If the word of mouth comes positively from early premieres, then the sequel to Akhanda is expected to see over 65 Cr start at the box office.

Akhanda 2 Update: Makers Deny All Premiere Rumours, Grand Shows Set for Tonight

0

After facing some unexpected financial hurdles at the last minute, Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is all set for worldwide theatrical release, with grand premiere shows tonight. There were a few doubts about its release with the latest order from the Telangana High Court, but the makers denied all those rumors.

The makers made an official announcement and requested everyone not to believe any circulating rumors about the premiere shows. “Everything is completely on track for the grand premieres of Akhanda 2,” they said.

Balakrishna fans are eagerly awaiting seeing their favorite idol playing the fascinating character of Aghora in the film, Akhanda 2. The film’s bookings are also going on a solid note, and it is set for an excellent opening on the first day.

Another Hurdle for Akhanda 2: High Court Cancels Ticket Hike GO

0

It looks like Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has to clear one more obstacle for its theatrical release, as the Telangana High Court has cancelled the GO that allowed special shows and increased ticket prices for the film.

The High Court has cancelled the government order (GO) that permitted increased ticket prices for the special shows of Akhanda 2 after receiving a lawsuit. If we remember, a similar situation occurred with OG, where the GO was struck down at the last minute. However, the producers of OG chose to file an appeal.

Despite the legal setback, OG premieres went ahead as planned, and the ticket price hikes continued for the allotted days before the court finally intervened and halted them.

Now, the producers of the Akhanda sequel should also go down the same route, as the bookings have already opened and tickets have been sold at hiked prices, and cancelling them at this time is practically not possible.
