Pawan Kalyan : 30 Crores loss for Bheemla Nayak because of Rates issue

0

It is very well known to everyone that Star Hero and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan is so busy these days. Pawan Kalyan is currently working on multiple projects and also gearing up for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the actor’s upcoming movies such as Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, OG and PKSDT.

Moreover, they are keen to know what are his plans with regard to the elections of Andhra Pradesh and how he will do the campaign this year. Pawan Kalyan held a party meeting yesterday and talked about his plans for both movies and politics.

We all know about the ticket rates issue between the AP Govt and the Telugu Film Industry. Especially for Pawan Kalyan movies, the govt did not allow even normal ticket hikes and special shows as well. Because of these issues, Bheemla Nayak film underperformed in Andhra Pradesh and Pawan himself said that due to these reasons, the movie has lost 30 Crores revenue.

It means if the ticket hikes and special shows were allowed, Bheemla Nayak would have collected 30 Crores more than the present share. Some netizens and other heroes fans trolled PSPK fans by saying that the 30 Crores loss is from the collections and Bheemla Nayak did not even collect 80 Crores, clearly they have misunderstood the words of Pawan Kalyan.

Meanwhile, the recent reports suggest that Pawan is now aiming to finish all his films by November so that he can focus on his political career. The next Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will probably be held in the summer of 2024. So, Pawan Kalyan will have ample time for campaigning in his state if he manages to finish all these projects in the deadline of 6 months as per his plan.

Poor Openings for Naga Chaitanya’s Custody in both languages

0

Naga Chaitanya’s Custody has opened with very ordinary numbers for noon shows in Telugu States, and what’s more surprising is the numbers have dropped further for the remaining shows. Even the bookings for night shows are also not up to the mark. In Tamil, Custody did not create any buzz before the release and that’s why openings are minimal. Below par talk and mixed reviews affected the film’s openings, and it has to a considerable growth on the weekend. Otherwise it will most likely end up as a big failure at the box office.

Custody, the film, marks the first-ever collaboration between Hero Naga Chaitanya and Director Venkat Prabhu. The film consists of a huge star cast such as Arvind Swami, Sarath Kumar, Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Sampath Raj and Ramki in crucial roles.

The film’s music and background score have been composed by Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is the first time that they both have worked on a film, while the cinematography was handled by SR Kathir. The theater owners of the Telugu States had piled up big hopes on Custody’s result, but it looks like the film has not lived up to the expectations going by the talk and numbers on the first day.

The movie tells us the story of Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) who is an honest police constable, and wants to do his duty sincerely. One night, Shiva plans to take his girlfriend Revathi (Krithi Shetty) from her marriage but on the way he finds himself between the fight of CBI Officer George (Sampath), and a criminal Raju (Aravind Swamy) and locks both of them in a cell without knowing their identities. Just when Shiva gets to know that George is indeed a CBI Officer, tension arises as an attack happens on the police station and Shiva in retaliation, attacks the goons and flees away with George and Raju. What happened after that? Does Shiva succeed in his mission of getting the criminals punished? How is IG Nataraj involved in this case? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Huge blow to The Kerala Story by Kerala audience

0

Director Sudipto Sen’s directorial, The Kerala Story, hit the screens on last weekend amid massive controversy. On its release, the film surprisingly received poor reviews from the Bollywood critics, but the film seems to have impressed the audience, as it is proved by the good start it got at the box office. However, the movie has shown phenomenal and unreal consistency at the Box Office.

There is no doubt that the film is performing Extraordinarily in North India by collecting 81 Crores Net in its first week, but in South India the audience are not interested to watch this film. In Kerala itself, the film has collected less than 50 laks in the 1st week, which is almost the closing figure for the film. The Kerala audience has given a big blow to the movie. Such low numbers are because the film was not screened properly and shows were cancelled on the first day itself. Even in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, the film was banned.

Starring Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani, The Kerala Story was earlier officially described as the story of more than 32,000 Kerala women who have been allegedly been radicalized by Islamic fundamentalists. However, the number was changed to three from 32,000 after protests spread online stating that misinformation was being spread by the makers.

The Kerala Story movie revolves around Shalini Unnikrishnan (Adah Sharma), Nimah (Yogita Bihani), and Siddhi Idnani (Geetanjali), who share their room with Asifa (Sonia Balani) in a nursing college in Kasargod, Kerala. Asifa, who is an aide to ISIS, how indoctrinates and brainwashes the three girls and converts them to Islam and what happens to them is the main crux of the movie.

Liger financial losses not settled yet, buyers call for a strike

0

The dust over the debacle of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger has not settled yet. The film was released last year in August after massive promotions and confident statements by Puri Jagannadh, Vijay Deverakonda, and Charmme. Unfortunately, the film couldn’t stand up the hype and emerged as the biggest failure of both Puri and Vijay’s careers.

Post the failure of Liger, the buyers, and Puri have been at loggerheads with buyers demanding compensation for their losses. Puri, on the other hand, wasn’t happy with this targeted harassment and even filed a police complaint against some buyers and exhibitors.

The complaint was made against Warangal Sreenu and G Shoban Babu for threatening violence against his family, and for wrongly accusing him of still owing money to them.

Now, in the latest development to this controversy, the buyers have gone on a protest at the Film Chamber seeking compensation for their massive losses. The Nizam buyers in particular are at the forefront of this protest and have gone on a relay hunger strike.

Heroes and directors are killing the buyers with their word’s

0

During the promotion of his latest film, Custody, Actor Naga Chaitanya, elaborated on his view on early reviews of every week’s newly released movies. He added that everyone can express their views about the film they have watched, and stated that he respects everyone’s freedom of expression, and it is a part of the business of the movie websites to give reviews.

However, the encouragement of heroes and directors is affecting the results of movies, and they are indirectly killing the buyers with their words. Just for promotions the heroes and directors are elevating website reviews and now the same websites are giving negative talk about the movies with midnight reviews, which is affecting in a huge way for movies.

Few fans and normal netizens are saying that the directors and heroes should realize now the impact of the negative reviews on websites and should not encourage them. However, it is not appropriate to accuse website reviews for the results because if a film’s content is good, then no review or negative publicity cannot affect the result of it.

However, if a film’s content is not good and the talk also comes negative then the negative reviews will definitely influence such movie results.

Will this be the costly mistake made by Naga Chaitanya’s Custody makers

0

In Telangana, the ticket price for Custody movie in multiplexes is set for Rs 295, which is huge for a medium budget film. Also, the price cap of 295 RS is a maximum available price for any film, and it is surprising that the Custody team went for such giant pricing. The fans and netizens on social media were taken aback by the pricing of the movie, and some of them even warned before the release that this could be proved as a costly mistake by the makers.

Today, as we know Custody released in theaters and opened to mixed response from the audiences and the ticket price in multiplexes seems to have affected the movie. If we observe the recent trend, many medium – range films have opened for a bit less ticket price such as RS 200/250, but Custody makers have opted for high price and as said above, there is a mixed response to the film from the audience, and we should see where it will end at the box office, and whether the decision of the makers going for huge pricing is indeed a costly mistake or not.

Theatrical revenue is not even 10% of budgets for recent failures

0

Tollywood has been going through a lean phase for some time with a couple of big-budget projects like Shaakuntalam and Agent failing at the box office. These projects brought massive losses to all the stakeholders and high production budgets, heavy VFX work and massive promotions all failed to excite the audience.

The production cost of Shaakuntalam and Agent touched 80Cr and surprisingly, the closing share is not even 10% (8Cr). The same is the case with Gopichand’s Ramabanam which was made on a budget of Rs 40Cr and the closing share is projected to be less than 4Cr.

The performance of these films should come as a wake-up call for the filmmakers. Normally, industry directors and producers think the audience will show interest in costly projects and for this reason, they overhype the budget before release.

The statements like the film having record budget film for a hero or director are not working anymore. Now audience are not falling into this trap they are more interested in content-based projects and not how many crores are invested in them.

Adipurush team set to release another trailer

0

From a few days, the unit of Adipurush has been successful in generating the buzz around the movie. All the required craze and hype which was missing for the movie has suddenly raised to the next level with the help of tremendous response to the trailer. Now the makers are trying to maintain the same anticipation around their movie by releasing another trailer.

The trailer has created a huge and positive buzz among Prabhas fans and even the audience of other languages as well. Now according to the reports, Adipurush team is planning to release one more short trailer. The makers have not given any official confirmation but most probably the new trailer will be released in pre-release event which will be held in Tirupathi.

As we know, the teaser of Adipurush was received criticism from the audience for numerous reasons. But Om Raut and his team have succeeded in making everyone’s impression change with the trailer. Prabhas was astonishing as Lord Ram, while Kriti Sanon effectively transmitted Janaki’s delicacy. Sunny Singh was neat as Lakshman, Deva Dutta Nage looked terrific as Lord Hanuman whereas Saif Ali Khan was kept under wraps in the role of Raavan except for an evil laugh at the end.

Adipurush is directed by Om Raut and produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in theaters. Adipurush was initially slated to be released on August 11 last year. However, the makers shifted its release to January 2023, but again it was postponed because of the backlash came for the VFX and after reworking on everything they are coming in June.

Custody Movie Review – Watchable Action Thriller with a few dragged parts

0

Movie: Custody
Rating: 2.75/5
Cast:
Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Arvind Swamy, Sarath Kumar, Priyamani.
Director:
Venkat Prabhu
Produced By:
Srinivasa Chitturi
Release Date:
12th May 2023

Story: Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) is an honest police constable, who wants to do his duty sincerely. Just when Shiva gets to know that George is indeed a CBI Officer, tension arises as an attack happens on the police station and Shiva in retaliation and flees away with George and Raju. What happened after that? Does Shiva succeed in his mission of getting the criminals punished? How is IG Nataraj involved in this case? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Analysis: Set in 1996, the film opens in a village near Rajahmundry. A bomb blast which kills 40 people and after that, Shiva’s character introduced followed by a love track which fails to get any impact and the family scenes were just ok and the narration moves at an ordinary pace until the character of Raju gets introduced. Thereafter, the police station fight and Pre Interval chase came well because of which first half ends on a promising note.

The second half starts interestingly but suffers because of the predictability in a few episodes, but what keeps the momentum is the determination of Shiva and the nonchalant attitude of Raju. The climax safely done.

Performances: Naga Chaitanya looked good and performed very well. Arvind Swamy is the show stealer of the entire cast as he gets a meaty role, and he makes full use of it. Krithi Shetty made her presence felt, while Priyamani, Sarath Kumar, Goparaju Ramana were appropriate.

Plus Points:

  • Storyline
  • Action Sequences
  • Raju’s Characterization
  • Background Score

Minus Points:

  • A few boring parts
  • Some dragged fights in Second Half
  • Songs
  • Love Track in first half

Verdict: Custody is a watchable action thriller, though it has its share of flaws. The narration works well for the most of the parts but the director Venkat Prabhu had taken care of the other filler parts, the movie could have been stronger.

Naga Chaitanya’s Custody FDFS Audience Talk – Review and Ratings

0

Naga Chaitanya’s latest film Custody is released at the theaters today. The expectations are quite high for this film, as the movie’s team was able to generate the buzz around the movie thanks to an excellent trailer and aggressive promotions. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual cop action drama is directed by Venkat Prabhu. Let’s see the response to the film from early shows and premiers.

The film opens with a below par talk and the audiences who have seen the film felt that the screenplay of the film is not at all engaging with repetitive scenes and flat narration throughout. The love track and songs are said to be the biggest minus points of the movie. Of course, a few scenes and action sequences were well-designed but overall, as a movie, the film failed to create a strong impact as per the talk from the early shows and USA Premiers.

Custody, the film, marks the first-ever collaboration between Hero Naga Chaitanya and Director Venkat Prabhu. The film consists of a huge star cast such as Arvind Swami, Sarath Kumar, Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Sampath Raj in crucial roles.

The film’s songs and background score have been composed by Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is the first time that they both have worked on a film, while the cinematography is being handled by SR Kathir. The theater owners of the Telugu States had piled up big hopes on Custody’s result, but it looks like the film has not lived up to the expectations.
