Before the release, Nagababu has promised that the money collected during the re-release will be donated to the Janasena Party. As promised, they met Pawan Kalyan and donated the amount. The other heroes fans had trolled that this event will not be a success, but Orange re-release surpassed everyone’s expectations and became a tremendous success. Therefore, Naga Babu lived up to his word of donating the collections to Janasena Party.

The Orange re-release was one of the curiously watched re-releases of recent times. The main reason for this was that, unlike other hero’s super-hit films being re-released, this was actually a box-office disaster that was brought to screens. Everyone was curious how the fans would receive this film and, much to everyone’s surprise, Orange re-release had been a success.

With the confidence, he got with the success of Sita Ramam, Hanu Raghavapudi is all set to finalize a big project with Prabhas, who is now a Pan Indian Superstar.

However, the story/genre of Prabhas – Hanu Raghavapudi’s movie is not yet disclosed. Some fans of Prabhas cannot wait him to see him in love stories or light-hearted entertainers. Naga Chaitanya’s Custody was released last week amidst poor reviews and weak occupancy all over. The Telugu- Tamil bilingual directed by Venkat Prabhu was expected to be engaging and thrilling considering he was coming fresh from Tamil blockbuster Maanaadu. Unfortunately, this film only ended up disappointing audience all over and emerged as another disaster for Naga Chaitanya after Thank You.

The movie is now being taken off the theatres within its first week. Custody struggled to get the rents in 1st week itself and most of the theatres have replaced the movie with other new releases.

While certain action sequences and the film’s core plot were appreciated by many, the dull narration and dragged sequences were the major factors that led to the movie’s downfall. Naga Chaitanya’s Custody is now headed toward being the biggest disaster of his career. The actor was in desperate need of a hit and the Custody result has dampened his spirit.

The film also starred Arvind Swami, Sarath Kumar, Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Sampath Raj, and Ramki in key roles. Story: Vijay Gurumurthy (Vijay Antony) is a rich man, who has a doppelgänger named Satya (Vijay Antony again), a poor beggar. To get control of Vijay and his wealth, his friends decide to have his brain transplanted with Satya’s brain. However, things do not go the way they want, as Satya has his own ideas and a serious goal. What are his intentions and what’s his objective is what forms the rest of the story.

Analysis: The film starts on an impressive and strong note as the narrative does not waste time to get into the main plot. The same momentum continues around the first 30 minutes. However, after that, the pace drops and the movie gets a bit deviated from its plot. Though the interval episode provides the high, it gives the feel of an ending. The second half starts again on a fresh note like another film, and though Vijay Antony tries to tell an honest message, the effect goes missing as the drama did not work whatsoever and it ends with an overdramatic climax.

Performances: Vijay Antony was good in his two roles and gave an honest performance. Kavya Thapar was fine, while Dev Gill, John Vijay, Radha Ravi and others were alright.

Minus Points:

  • Convoluted Narration in the second half
  • Unnecessary elevation scenes
  • Weakening of the Central Message

Verdict: Bichagadu 2 had a good premise. While it manages to start effectively, the narrative derails as the film progresses, making it substandard than the first part. On the whole, the film does not give a satisfactory experience.
