Vijay Antony’s recent blockbuster Bichagadu 2 has now made its OTT premiere. After winning the hearts of audiences and recording terrific box-office collections both in Tamil and Telugu, this science fiction action film is now streaming on Disney + Hotstar.

Bichagadu 2 was released in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam apart from the original Tamil version and did well in most territories. The film received positive reviews and the audience also lapped up its unique concept leading to heavy collections.

Vijay Antony has not only acted in this film but is also the writer, director, and music director. It also starred Kavya Thapar in the female lead role, with Dev Gill, John Vijay, and Radha Ravi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Y G Mahendran in the other crucial roles. This film’s cinematography is handled by Vijay Milton and Om Prakash, and it is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the banner of Vijay Antony Productions.

The massive success of this project has given a major boost to plans for part 3. Bichagadu 3 will undoubtedly happen, according to Vijay Antony, and it will be released in 2025. Vijay Antony further disclosed that Bichagadu 3 will be a stand-alone film, much like Bichagadu 2. Additionally, he stated that he will be directing the next part as well.

Despite getting negative reviews and response from everyone, the much awaited film, Prabhas and Om Raut’s Adipurush got good openings at the box office. However, the film’s Telugu Version collections in Overseas are very disappointing. The film’s Telugu version’s performance is poor at the overseas. The film just collected $1.19M on opening day including premiers, which is lesser number than many regular big movies, which is very surprising.

Even on Saturday also the Hindi version has dominated the Telugu version. Adipurush’s Telugu version likely to be in the range of 350K on day 2. According to the trend, Telugu version might close under 2.25M in North America, which is a very disappointing number considering the budget and the film being based on Ramayan Epic. The same goes with the other overseas countries.

In the UK, the numbers of Adipurush are very ordinary. In Australia also, the Hindi version is dominating Telugu. The Telugu version’s numbers will be in the same range of regular big movies and in other countries also the Telugu numbers are very ordinary. Truly, the box office performance of Adipurush has disappointed everyone.

Adipurush is produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. People Media Factory brought the movie to the Telugu audience.

If we observe the pre-release promotions of Adipurush team and their statements, the team said they are making Ramayan before release and never mentioned it was just an inspiration. They said they have immense respect and love for Lord Ram. They even went to temples of Shri Ram as well.

During the promotional events they mentioned a lot about Ramayan and they also gave emotional statements like leaving a seat for Hanuman in the theaters. Director Om Raut even cried at the Pre Release Event of when he said about the Hanuman’s seat to everyone. However, the film team has changed their words after the release of Adipurush and they are saying it is just an inspiration of Ramayan.

After the release of the film, the writer of Adipurush directly said in an interview who said the film is not Ramayan and they have just inspired by Ramayan and made the film. This is just unbelievable and the netizens are strongly opposing the double mouthed statements from Adipurush ‘s team. The audience is angry with the whole team of Adipurush that they have used Ramayan as a marketing tool for their film.

The audience trolled and criticized the scenes of Adipurush. The character sketches and some dialogues which seemed to be inappropriate for the genre were also got criticized. The film’s writer, Manoj Muntashir, surprised everyone by saying that Adipurush is not Ramayan but they have made the film by getting inspired by it.

Manoj Muntashir stated that the team of Adipurush was clear from the start that they have made Ramayan, but they got heavily inspired by the epic. He further said that they have not made Sampoorn Ramayan and they just took the Yuddh Kaand (war sequence) part from it.

For a few days, every movie goer of the Telugu Film Industry has discussed only one thing, i.e., Adipurush, Prabhas and Om Raut’s mythological drama was released yesterday. The expectations around the movie were sky-high, be it in the Prabhas fans, neutral audience or even the trade circles. So, it was natural that after the movie got a mixed response, trade circles were a bit doubtful about the film’s performance at the box office.

However, after getting terrific numbers on the day 1, the movie is holding superbly in Hindi and trending on par with the opening day at the box office even for the next day. The trade circles are expecting the film to collect around 40 Crores gross in the north India.

In Telugu also Adipurush showed Extra Ordinary hold in main centers, 3D theaters and decent performance in mass stations. On Day 2 Telugu state’s share is expected to be in the range of 13 Crores. In the Overseas, the Hindi version is dominating over Telugu and tomorrow will be another good day for the film with Hindi advantage. Other areas like Karnataka are decent while Tamil Nadu, Kerala are still trending at lower levels. Overall, the trade circles are expecting Adipurush to touch 200 Crores gross mark worldwide in just 2 days.

Official: Tamannaah’s Lust Stories 2 OTT streaming date is out

After confirming their relationship status, actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma have appeared in a new promo for Lust Stories 2, the upcoming web series where they are discussing the difference between ‘love stories’ and ‘lust stories’. The official streaming date of Lust Stories 2 is out and the show will be streamed on popular OTT platform Netflix from June 29th.

In the promo video, Vijay asks Tamannaah if “every love story is a lust story too. She tells him that most scenes in Bollywood films that talk about love, are actually all about lust.

Vijay goes on to give Tamannaah examples of the iconic scenes from Bollywood films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, and asks “What about feeling butterflies in the stomach?” He then hums the lyrics of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s popular love ballad, ‘Raataan Lambiyan’ but Tamannaah still firmly stands on her opinion that it is not love, but lust.

Tamannaah and Vijay have been together for several months, but until last week, they were silent on their relationship. In a recent interview, Tamannaah said that Vijay is “someone I care deeply for and he is my happy place.”

Om Raut’s directorial, Adipurush, has come under heavy criticism since it was released yesterday. The film has created box office records on its first day, but there is still a large section of the audience that has criticized the scenes, character sketches and some dialogues which seemed to be inappropriate for the genre. The film’s writer, Manoj Muntashir, surprised everyone by saying that Adipurush is not Ramayan but they have made the film by getting inspired by it.

The writer had defended the dialogues which were trolled by the netizens, only to be further trolled. Talking about the most trolled scene where Lord Hanuman says ‘jalegi bhi tere baap ki’, Muntashir said, “Ours is an oral tradition. We all know Ramayana like that. I come from a small village where grandmothers used to tell these stories in this style, using this language. I am not the first one to write this dialogue.”

Asian cinemas are partners with Superstar Mahesh Babu, Daggubati Venkatesh and Rana in this multiplex. According to the reports, it will be named as AMB Victory. AMB Victory means Asian Mahesh Babu Victory Venkatesh.

Icon Star Allu Arjun, recently bought Asian Satyam Mall in Ameerpet, Hyderabad and built a new multiplex called AAA Cinemas. The mall was launched in a grand ceremony a few days ago. Allu Arjun, Asian Sunil Narang, Bharat Narang, Murli Mohan, and Sadanand Goud are the partners of Asian Satyam Mall.

Nikhil’s upcoming pan-India project Spy’s release date has been not changed. There were several rumors carried out in the last few days about the film’s release date that hero Nikhil and the producer were having differences regarding the same. But today all the doubts are cleared with the official announcement of the film.

The producer is still sticking to the June 29th date only and does not want to postpone the film. Now the team with no option is sticking to the same date and today an official confirmation from the unit of Spy regarding the same. The team is putting all efforts now to complete the pending parts before the release date.

The recently released trailer of Spy, the most ambitious project in Nikhil’s career, had managed to impress all. It’s quite evident from the trailer that the movie is being shot on a massive scale with good production and technical values. However, there was a small issue with the movie’s release date between Nikhil and the producer.

Spy’s producers wanted to release the film as planned on 29th June. But, Nikhil insisted on taking some more time to finish post-production works and later publicity works. The trade circles are still in shock how come RRR’s opening day number in Nizam was more than 23 Crores share as the latest biggie Adipurush has also been released in a record number of Centers in Nizam but it stood far away from the number of RRR.

Prabhas’s Adipurush opening day share of Nizam is 13.68 Crores including GST, which makes an around 10 Crores share difference between Adipurush and RRR. This has shocked the trade circles and even the audience as they are saying that there is no chance of 10 Crores share in difference for RRR.

Except NTR and Ram Charan fans are now’ trolling RRR movie’s collections, and they strongly believe that the film’s numbers are bloated in Nizam region and for that matter, not only in Nizam but they think the other areas nos of RRR also bloated and fake.

In reality, trade experts know that inflated numbers have been reported in many territories, and many buyers have suffered significant losses. Dil Raju, the Nizam distributor of RRR, himself stated in an interview that the film’s box office collections are determined by the production company rather than the distributors, and the actual numbers are lower than reported.
