It is very well known to everyone that Rajamouli’s dream project is to make a big film/franchise on the Epic Mahabharata, and he has said this for many years. There will be for sure, humongous hype around this biggest project of Indian Cinema, and the words of SS Rajamouli’s father and renowned writer Vijayendra Prasad have raised the expectations to another level.

In the latest interview, Vijayendra Prasad said Rajamouli is most likely to start the Project of Mahabharata after his film with Mahesh Babu and it is the best time for Rajamouli to work on Mahabharata as he will have a global market by then with the consecutive successes with RRR and SSMB29. Thanks to such big image, ye can put anything in the movie now.

Rajamouli earlier stated that it may take a year for him to just understand and get an idea of all the available versions of Mahabharata in the country. Needless to say that whenever he launches his dream project of Mahabharata into 10 parts (or more) feature film, it would be an unprecedented project in the history of Indian Cinema as many big stars from all film industries will be a part of the movie.

Meanwhile, it is very well known to everyone that SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu will be working together soon. According to the reports, the film will begin with large-scale workshops in late 2023. Rajamouli is putting in place workshops for various departments that will continue for six months. There will be a large amount of VFX in this movie, so the unit will take place in workshops on VFX composition, the use of green carpets, and other aspects as per the reports. It is also said that the movie will be made as a trilogy.

Rangabali 1st weekend Box Office collections – A big disaster

Hero Naga Shaurya’s latest film, Rangabali has been released this Friday and the film opened to a poor response from the audiences and critics as well. Because of such a weak talk, the film’s box office performance got affected, and the film could not even get minimal collections on the first day, and it did not get improved on the 1st weekend and the film became a big disaster at the box office.

After a below par opening day at the box office, the film maintained the collections at the same level on the weekend as well. There was no much growth in the film’s collections and the last week’s release, Samajavaragamana trended better than this newly released film.

Rangabali has collected around 2.7 Crores share worldwide in its 1st weekend and the trade circles are expecting the film to close under 4 Crores, which makes it an out right disaster at the box office.

Rangabali team screened premiers in limited shows in both the Telugu states before the release day to get positive talk and the decision backfired as the movie got below par reviews from the audiences. The 1st half of the film was passable with Satya’s comedy, but the 2nd half had disappointed everyone in a big way. The sentiment in the flashback did not work whatsoever for the film.

Apart from Naga Shaurya, Rangabali stars Yukti Thareja as the female lead, while Shine Tom Chacko appears as the antagonist after Nani’s Dasara. Satya played the hero’s friend character while Sarath Kumar also present in the film. The film’s Music director is Pawan CH and the cinematographer is Divakar Mani. Directed by Pawan Basamsetti, Rangabali produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas.

Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus RRR, in which Ram Charan and NTR starred in the lead roles, became a Sensational film with record collections at the Global Box Office and received critical acclaim also with even winning an Oscar Award for its most popular song, Naatu Naatu in the best original song category. The rumors around this action epic’s sequel have been doing the rounds for many days.

Now, writer Vijayendra Prasad has said in the latest interview that RRR sequel is in plans and some Hollywood studios are interested to being a part of this fascinating project. He also confirmed that chances are there that Rajamouli may not direct this film. Reportedly, some renowned Hollywood technicians are likely to work on this project under the supervision of Rajamouli.

During an old interview, director SS Rajamouli opened up on doing a sequel to his 2022 hit RRR. The director said he wasn’t keen on creating a sequel earlier, but had worked on the script of the RRR sequel.

“RRR sequel happening, initially we dabbled with the idea of part 2, we had some good ideas but never a great one, so we left it at that, then recently about a few weeks back, one great idea stuck we thought we have to make this, at present we are just at the writing stage, so I have to write it then only I can talk about it”. Let’s wait and watch whether this project will work out or not.

After the debacle of Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, Prabhas has high hopes for Salaar, and with a lot riding on Project K as well, he is extensively focussing on these two films only. As per the initial plan, Maruthi and Prabhas’ film was expected to finish the shooting quickly and release for a festive occasion. But now, with Salaar Part 1, Part 2, and Project K, Maruthi’s film has taken a backseat and is said to be postponed for the 2025 release.

As per the original plan, Prabhas allotted limited dates for this project’s completion and the makers were hoping to complete the entire shoot by the summer end. That plan hasn’t worked well and with the Rebel Star packed at the moment, it needs to be seen when Maruthi will get an opportunity to complete the film. The film also stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar in the female lead roles and is produced by People Media Factory.

In fact, Amaravati Ki Atu Itu was also considered strongly with many suggesting the makers zero in on this. Initially, the team planned to choose Amaravati Ki Atu Itu title for the movie. The title also sounds catchy, but they changed the title to Guntur Kaaram at the last minute.

Amaravati Ki Atu Itu has a deep significance and reportedly goes with the story. The industry buzz is that Mahesh’s parents are separated in Guntur Kaaram and live separately in the surroundings of Amaravati, hence the Amaravati Ki Atu Itu was considered. Actress Eesha Rebba has been busy, juggling her time between OTT projects and theater films. But she has an easy answer when asked what she prefers most. “Let’s be honest, your phone can never be the big screen,” she confesses, adding, “But there’s no denying that OTT has a broader reach.” In the latest interview, she spoke about Telugu-speaking actors not getting the offers in Tollywood.

The actress says it is the role which is the driving force for her and not the platform or even the language. “I play a social media influencer in my next Telugu film, Mama Mascheendra. In my upcoming Tamil film, I play a sub-inspector. Isn’t that any actor’s dream come true? It’s a great time to be an actor, people now hold makers accountable if they put out subpar stories,” she adds.

What Eesha learned from working in Tamil and Malayalam is that these industries prefer – or rather, adore – their actors to speak the language. “I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but for some reason, it just doesn’t seem like a dealbreaker in Tollywood,” she says, adding, “The audience never asks the makers to cast someone who doesn’t know the language, so why not cast someone who does? And I don’t just mean for the female lead.” She pointed out that why should Telugu films go to the actors who don’t speak the language.

Actually, Eesha thinks that business and advertising probably don’t matter as much anymore. “It’s a different scenario, if you’re making a pan-India film and need familiar faces. But I think that nowadays, when films do their best work over a weekend, that excuse doesn’t hold up. Some younger directors seem to understand how important it is for actors to be close to the audience,’ she concludes.

All Details About Ram – Puri Jagan’s Double Ismart

One of the most successful films in Ram Pothineni’s career has to be the Puri Jagan directorial Ismart Shankar. The film, which was marketed as a proper mass entertainer, delivered on that promise and managed to create a pretty strong dent at the box office.

Now, after a few years since the release of Ismart Shankar, this combo is returning once again with the sequel titled, Double Ismart. But this time around, the stakes are different and the equations have also changed.

The pooja ceremony for the film was done today and the film will release in all major Indian languages. That is, the film will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam as well as Hindi.
