Gadar 2 heading towards Bollywood’s industry hit status in India

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is on rampage mode at the box office currently and looking at the trend it does not look like the film will stop its terrific run anytime soon. Today, taking the advantage of national holiday, the film is expected to collect in the range of 57Cr net, which is nothing but sensational because the number will be more than the Sunday’s figure. The trade is very certain that the film is heading towards Bollywood’s industry hit status in India.

The film has crossed the 200cr net mark today and for 5 days it will be around a stunning number of 230Cr and the bookings also looking strong for tomorrow, which indicates a healthy number for tomorrow also. If the same trend continues, the movie will definitely break the current all-time record number of Pathaan [525Cr] net in India.

Despite a clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, which resulted in restricted showcasing, particularly at multiplexes, Gadar 2 has performed phenomenally well at the box office. In Sunny Deol’s 40-year career, Gadar 2 has already established itself as his biggest hit. The 65-year-old actor has expressed his gratitude to the audience all over for showering the film with such love.

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma and has the late Amrish Puri recreated via CGI. A sequel to the 2001 hit, it is set in the 1970s and has Tara Singh (played by Sunny) going to Pakistan on a mission to rescue his son.

Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty’s upcoming film is Miss Shetty, Mr Polishetty. The release of this film, which has been delayed for a few days, was recently announced by the unit. The makers confirmed that Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty will be released on the occasion of Janmashtami on September 7. Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer Jawaan will also release on the same day. With this, there is a chance that Anushka and Naveen’s movie will have a tough competition from that movie. 

The promos from this movie got a good response. Recently, during a promotional interview, Anushka surprised Naveen by giving him a prank call. She funnily asked whether he will be able to perform standup comedy on the same day of the film’s release. Naveen could not guess it was Anushka who had called him at first, but later he remembered her voice. Overall, the prank call of Anushka was a hilarious moment in the interview.

Directed by P. Mahesh Babu, the film is touted to be a romantic comedy entertainer. The film is slated to hit the screens on September 7th as a Gift of Krishnashtami. Produced by UV Creations, the film has music by Radhan. Naveen plays the stand-up comedian in the film, while Anushka will be seen in the role of a chef. Miss Shetty’s Mr Polishetty movie is a different love story with a perfect blend of fun and emotions. The promos that have already been released have got a good response.

Shankar disappointed Mega fans and the Telugu audience again

Director Shankar, who is known for making films with grandeur in Indian cinema, has been shooting for Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ and Ram Charan’s Game Changer simultaneously. On Twitter, he shared the photos of both the films today on the occasion of Independence Day. For Indian 2, he shared the Kamal Haasan’s pic, but for Game Changer he shared pic of himself from the sets. This has disappointed the mega fans.

The fans of Ram Charan and Telugu audiences who were waiting for a big update were severely disappointed by Shankar. Even for Indian 2, the pic of Kamal Haasan was not received with much greater applause. The Telugu audiences expected that Shankar will give some hot updates on both his upcoming films, but he disappointed them big time.

Indian 2′ has music by Anirudh and is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant movies. The cast of the film includes Kamal, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Kalidas Jayaram, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others. It appears that the ‘Indian 2’ team will be returning home, and Kamal may reveal his ‘KH 233’ directed by H. Vinoth soon.

‘Game Changer’ produced by Dil Raju has music by Thaman and stars Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, Jayaram, Anjali and S.J. Suryah. Both the biggies are expected to be wrapped within the next few months and released in 2024.

So he can still impress the audiences, though the Arjun’s Harold Das looks similar to Suriya’s Rolex.

Following the success of many old blockbuster films like Pokiri, Kushi and the latest Tamil dubbed film Surya S/O Krishnan, Rebel Star Prabhas’s and Dhanush’s Raghuvaran B Tech ( Velai Illa Pattathari) are being re released on this Friday. Now the latest news is that the Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Nayak will be re released on August 22nd as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday special.

VV Vinayak is one of the directors who entertained the Telugu audience by adding his mark of entertainment to the action films. He made Nayak with Mega Power Star Ram Charan with blending action and entertainment. Kajal Aggarwal and Amala Paul played the female leads in the film, which starred Charan in a double role for the first time. Pradeep Rawat, Rahul Dev, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy, Posani Krishna Murali, Dev Gill, Sudha and others played important roles. Charmme made an appearance in an item song.

Big setback for Agent distributor Gayatri Satish

Akhil Akkineni’s Agent film’s distributor, Gayatri Satish ‘s name has been in the headlines of Telugu film media for a few days. Now he has got a big setback because of his decision to approach the court seeking his compensation. Here comes the twist, the Telugu Film Producer’s Guild has chosen not to grant distribution rights to Gayatri Satish going forward for any film, due to his decision to take legal action against producer Anil Sunkara

Agent distributor Gayatri Satish filed a petition on producer Anil Sunkara recently. According to him, he bought the entire Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka rights for 30Cr NRA and only 1.5Cr recovered and the producer had sold Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar to another distributor without informing him. So he moved to the court demanding the compensation amount.

The court received a Memorandum of Understanding and Letter of Undertaking from Satish. It had been signed by Garikipati Krishna Kishore from Anil Sunkara Society. He requested a delay in Bhola Shankar’s release, but the court did not accept his request. According to Anil Sunkara’s team, it was a forgery document.

Meanwhile, the Guild has been made aware of the matter. Reportedly, All of its members have been instructed not to give distribution rights to any films to Vizag Satish.

At the same time, the court has not rejected one of Satish’s numerous petitions. Even after getting a big setback by the Guild, Satish affirms his faith in the legal system and will proceed with the legal battle. We will have to see what happens next.

Mega Prince Varun Tej is all set to appear before the audiences on August 25th with his upcoming action thriller Gandeevadhari Arjuna. The unit recently started giving interviews as a part of promotions and in one of those interviews Varun Tej talked about his brother, Ram Charan’s suggestions to him.

“After my 7th film, Ram Charan anna called me and advised me to select unique scripts. He said people around you will urge you to consider the market and might try to restrict you from experimenting. He advised me to never fall into that trap. Not only that, but he also mentioned that he’s in a situation where he needs to consider various factors while choosing scripts” said Varun Tej.

Owing to his brother’s advice, Varun Tej tried to do something fresh or unique with his upcoming film. Now it has to be seen whether Ram Charan’s suggestions will work for Varun Tej at the box office or not. Gandeevadhari Arjuna is releasing in the theaters on 25th August. Varun’s recent films did not work at the box office, and he needs a massive blockbuster at the box office at this point in his career.

Varun Tej plays Arjun, who is on a mission to safeguard Nazar, as part of the UN Global Climate Action Summit. Like every action hero who plays a spy or a Raw agent in films, Varun Tej’s Arjun is introduced as the only person who can be trusted to get the job done in the film’s teaser. Sakshi Vaidya, who is known for her role in Agent 2023, plays the female lead in the film. Arjun is seen as the ideal candidate to achieve the mission, but Vaidya’s character states that she cannot work with him, hinting a possible flashback between them.

Actor Rana Daggubati regrets the negativity faced by Actress Sonam Kapoor following his recent comments. Rana did not mention Sonam’s name at an event in Hyderabad, but he said that a ‘Bollywood heroine’ was wasting the time of actor Dulquer Salman on the set of their film. Sonam and Dulquer worked together on The Zoya Factor.

In a new tweet, Rana clarified his comments and even apologized to Sonam and Dulquer. “I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner. As friends, we often exchange playful banter, and I deeply regret that my words have been misinterpreted,” he said.

He added, “I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt apologies to Sonam and Dulquer, both of whom I hold in great esteem. I hope this clarification puts an end to any speculation and misunderstanding. Thank you for your understanding”.

At a pre-release event for King of Kotha, the media reported that Rana said, “Dulquer was my cadet at actor school. We became friends there. He is a very polite person. He’s doing a Hindi movie and the producers are my friends. The shoot was happening near my house. I went there to meet Dulquer.”

He continued, “While he was standing in the corner with the spot boy, a big Hindi heroine who was doing that movie was engrossed in a phone conversation about shopping in London with her husband. Her lack of focus affected the quality of the shots, frustrating those on set. Dulquer remained patient and understanding despite the disruptions caused by the situation, defusing tension and maintaining a harmonious environment” said Rana.

However, Rana was too upset by the incident back then, and he went to confront the film’s producers about the same thing.
