Dulquer Salman confirms he is a part of Project K

Project K aka Kalki 2898 AD already features an exciting star cast comprising Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. Now, there have been reports of the film featuring Mollywood’s heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan as well. During the promotions of his upcoming pan-India project King of Kotha, the actor hinted about his involvement in Kalki 2898 AD.

I can’t reveal anything about Project K. I’ll just tell you, I went to the sets and was blown away (by its grandiose nature). Only Nagi (Nag Ashwin) can think like that. He’s a director who never fails to surprise. Be it Yevade Subramanyam or Mahanati and then he goes on to do Project K, which is set in the future. The sets were so amazing. But I don’t know if I am in the film or not,” said Dulquer hinting about his possible involvement in the massive project.

The title of this much-awaited project was announced as Kalki 2898 AD at San Diego Comic-Con recently. Initially, the film was announced with Project K as the working title. The makers also revealed the teaser of the film at the event and raised curtains on the world of this sci-fi movie. The film combines Hindu mythology with futuristic dystopian world. The teaser showcased a conflict between the oppressed and the oppressor with Prabhas likely to feature as a warrior who enslaves the people from the evil.

This week, theaters have had the shows of movies like Yogi, which stars Prabhas and Raghuvaran B Tech. However, the celebrations of Prabhas fans have gone very wrong.

Prabhas fans damaged three theaters in Hyderabad, Nandyal, and Kakinada during the Yogi re-release celebrations. This caused a significant loss for the theater owners. The theater management should reconsider holding celebrations for re-releases, especially before screening of the new releases.

During these re-releases, fans are known for their intense enthusiasm. They often bring bags of papers to toss into the air to celebrate. The sight of people climbing on chairs and dancing to songs is common. However, as said above, recently the fans of star heroes are going overboard as many theaters have been reported to have firecrackers lit by some fans, which obviously will damage the surroundings.

Prabhas fans have crossed all the limits as per the reports. After the movie abruptly stopped during the screening because of fans going overboard during the show, they decided to use a blade to damage the screen at the Sudarshan theater in Hyderabad. Some fans have engaged in destructive behaviors, such as breaking glasses, throwing bottles, and causing damage to the theater’s infrastructure.

The theater management is said to have contacted the police and filed a complaint against some fans. The investigation is currently underway.

Jailer passes Vikram and enters into all time top 3 in Kollywood

It’s raining records for Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer. After achieving breakeven in all territories and entering profits in all regions in record time, the film has now achieved another massive milestone. Directed by Nelson Dileepkumar, this action entertainer has broken Kamal Haasan’s Vikram collections [Around Rs 430Cr gross] just in 9 days and entered into all-time top3 in Kollywood.

Kollywood top 3 grossers now consist of 2.0 followed by Ponniyin Selvan 1. Jailer is now heading towards breaking Ponniyin Selvan1 [around 500Cr] and will likely end up at the second spot after 2.0. For just Tamil version, Jailer has created an all-time collections record in first week.

Superstar Rajiniknath, whose latest film ‘Jailer’ became a massive blockbuster, will be watching the film with none other than the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Yesterday evening, Rajinikanth, the Tamil superstar and one of the renowned stars of the Indian Cinema arrived in Lucknow.

“I will watch the film with him,” he told news agency ANI when asked about his meeting with the Chief Minister today.

He also thanked God for the film because he gave such a big hit at the box office. “Sab Bhagwan ka dua hai (it’s all god’s blessings),” he said as he boarded his car at the airport.

Jailer is a Rajinikanth’s latest movie after a two-year break. The film was released with a good hype because of Anirudh’s terrific songs and well cut trailer. The film tells how a retired Jailer takes on a criminal gang who kidnap his son, who is a police officer.

Rajinikanth’s extraordinary screen presence and action episodes left a lasting impression on everyone. Nelson made a strong comeback after a failure like Beast, while Anirudh’s BGM was a major highlight of the movie.

After attempting his luck with a pan-Indian film like ‘Mosagallu’ previously, Manchu Vishnu is now once again targeting the nationwide audience with another intriguing project. Vishnu’s dream project is titled ‘Kannappa’ and a grand Pooja ceremony was held at Sri Kalahasti temple yesterday for the film.

Legendary actor Manchu Mohan Babu will produce this film under ‘Ava Entertainments’ and ’24 Frames Factory’ banners while Mukhesh Kumar Singh, who made the Mahabharata series which was telecasted on Star Plus is going to direct it. The star heroine, Kriti Sanon’s younger sister Nupur Sanon is the heroine whilst Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Thota Prasad and Sai Madhav Burra are the writers. The music for this pan-Indian flick will be composed by Stephen Devasi and Mani Sharma.

The original ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ movie, a classic, had the late Krisham Raju as the lead, as we all know. The makers are aiming to complete the shooting within the scheduled time, with Vishnu playing the title role in this new film. He also stated that the movie will feature numerous top actors. The remaining details will be released within a few weeks. We need to wait and see whether Vishnu receives his much-needed hit or not with his dream project.
