Nowadays, the pre-release hype is important for any film. Especially if it is a different concept film and tier 2 heros’ film, then it should gather as much as craze because that will help the box office prospects of the film. If a film fails to do so, then it will be really difficult for the film to get going at the box office. Varun Tej’s upcoming film, Gandeevadhari Arjuna is suffering from the same problem.

Directed by Praveen Sattaru, Gandeevadhari Arjuna is getting released in theaters on this weekend. The movie is said to be made on the biggest budget in the career of Varun Tej but the business was very disappointing, the film is failed to create the buzz with promotional content as nothing seemed to work in favor of it.

The audiences look not much interested in the film, which resulted in low buzz and the buyers are also not interestrd in buying this film for bigger prices. Now a Superb word of mouth is needed at this moment for the film or else it may end up with a very low theatrical share. Only extremely positive talk can pull the audience now to the theaters.

The film is directed by Praveen Sattaru and features Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Vinay Rai as the antagonist. The ensemble cast is made up of Nazar, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, and Baby Vedain. The movie, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, has its music composed by Mickey J Meyer.

Rajinikanth, the Tamil superstar, met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence to watch his recently released film ‘Jailer’. This encounter caught many people surprised. However, Rajinikanth’s actions during this meet has sparked a major controversy as a video of him touching Yogi Adityanath’s feet went viral on the internet.

In the viral video making rounds on social media websites, the Tamil superstar is seen touching Yogi’s feet as he arrives at his residence in Lucknow. The gesture has caused division among netizens, his fans, and the Tamil public. A few are supporting Rajini while another section of netizens is strongly opposing it.

Someone said the reason is that Rajinikanth is younger than Yogi, if not, why would the Tamil superstar touch the UP CM’s feet? Those who did not find any fault in Rajinikanth’s gesture said that it is common for Hindus to touch the feet of a spiritual leader.

Story: The crime comedy Guns & Gulabs is set in the 1990s in the fictional town named Gulabganj. The plot line tends to revolve around the Opium which grows in the fields near the area and it is required in big quantities by a crime syndicate in Kolkata. The lives of Tipu (Rajkumar Rao), a lover who also is out for revenge, Arjun (Dulquer Salmaan), an ethical narcotic officer, Ganchi Sr. (Satish Kaushik), and Jr. (Adarsh Gaurav), local gang leaders dealing with the Kolkata mafia, have been interrelated with exceptional circumstances and how all these characters end up is the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Raj & DK, the minds behind the well known series like The Family Man, and Farzi, have made Guns & Gulaabs. This time they try to make a dark crime comedy series. One would have a general understanding of Raj & DK’s approach and style if they had seen their earlier works. So this one is also not an exception. Everything is set up perfectly and expectations are made clear in the first episode.

The love story between Tipu and Chandra and the subplot involving school kids were  very predictable. The actors manage to make the proceedings work in the former track while the latter just stays at the surface. The main gangster and mafia track involving the Narcotics Division and Opium is regular. It works partly and uses cliched twists.

The setting and writing parts work well for the series as they were able to draw the interest despite all the predictability at the display. Despite all the problems, the narrative makes the viewers wait to see where the story goes and what surprises are in store at the end. The final two episodes are bang on with perfect twists. Along with the artists, the music and all the technical aspects came well for the series. The 90’s backdrop also worked very well as it added depth and authenticity to the characters and scenes.

Performances: Dulquer Salmaan does the job with perfection though his character does not have much power after a nice introduction. Rajkummar Rao is the show stealer with his perfect and honest performance. Though he has played these kind roles earlier he was able to bring life into the Tipu’s character. Gulshan Devaiah gave a superb performance. TJ Bhanu, Pooja Gor were fine while Adarsh Gourav was impressive. Late Satish Kaushik was apt while all other actors including the kids were appropriate.

Verdict:

Overall, Guns & Gulaabs is an exciting show because of the cast and backdrop, but the predictability in the narration is the main problem. One can binge watch the series as the actors and writing make it a decent watch.

The trend of re-releases is catching on in Tollywood. Once blockbusters, films are now getting released again and the audiences are also seeming to enjoy them. So the makers are trying to cash in the opportunity by releasing as many as films. Pokiri, Kushi, Jalsa, Simhadri, Businessman and many more star films have already been released again in the theaters.

Many people are enquiring and in discussions with the old blockbuster films’ producers for re-releases. For some movies, the producers themselves planning for the re-release. The actor made his way to the city on Friday night for the screening of his film ‘Jailer’, which was attended by UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. However, his fans and entire Tamil people are not happy with his act during the meet with Yogi Adityanath.

In a video, Rajinikanth was seen touching the feet of Yogi Adityanath in his house in Lucknow. This was not at all well received by his fans and the Tamil public. Many of the people felt that it was not at all needed for a star like him to touch the feet just of a politician, just because he is a state’s chief minister. Some even stated that if Rajini had entered politics, then he could not have achieved success with this kind of attitude.

Earlier, Rajinikanth shared his excitement about the positive response his movie is receiving from the audience and its success. He stated it’s all the blessings of God.

A while ago, Rajinikanth was in Ranchi, Jharkhand. He also visited the well-known Chhinnamasta temple in the state on Friday and offered prayers. P Vasu and Raghava Lawrence’s upcoming horror film, Chandramukhi 2 is all set to be released as Vinayaka Chavithi special in the month of September. The movie has gained a good amount of craze in the trade circles, and it is doing record pre-release business. Meanwhile, the film’s runtime and synopsis have been leaked on the internet. The film’s runtime is almost 3 hours (2 hours 50 Minutes).

As it is the sequel of an all-time blockbuster, Chandramukhi, the story of this film is also a bit similar to the first part. The film’s story is of a rich family faces many problems in their big house/palace. They bring all the family relatives together and perform the rituals of their family deity, but they unknowingly reawaken the fued between the ghosts of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja from centuries ago.

So after the mistake from the family, the soul of Chandramukhi enters into one of the family members and the rest of the story is about how the family members be able to get out of trouble.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer is not in a mood to slow down at the box office. The film is creating records one after another with each passing day and now the film is all set to join the 500 CR club, which is a sensational feat.

After having reached the break-even point in all the territories and making profits in all the regions in a record span of time, the film has now set to enter a major club at the box office. Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, this action entertainer has already broken Kamal Haasan’s Vikram collections.

Popular Telugu actress and television anchor Anasuya Bharadwaj left fans startled and shocked by her latest Instagram post. At first, it appeared that she was feeling bad because of the trolls and hatred on her. But after that, she released another video on Twitter saying that her video was misunderstood, and she is absolutely fine. However, the netizens felt she played a drama for attention on social media.

Earlier, a video was shared by the actress where she was seen crying. In a long note, Anasuya stated that this is only to let the public know that even celebrities are vulnerable and breakdown. She also assured the fans that she was okay and asked them to be nice and empathetic towards each other.
