Jailer Telugu version heading towards 100Cr gross mark

Rajinikanth’s Jailer is rocking at the worldwide box office presently across all the languages and territories. The Telugu version of Jailer is doing exceptionally well at the box office. With today the film will collect around 70Cr gross in Telugu states and From Overseas and ROI, the Telugu version’s gross will be around 14Cr.

In total, Jailer’s Telugu version’s gross will be closer to 85Cr and the film has good chances to cross the 100Cr gross mark. 2 Point 0 and KGF 2 are the only two dubbed films which have collected more than 100Cr gross in Telugu version, and now Jailer is likely to join this club.

Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar who has earlier directed projects like Vijay’s Beast and Siva Karthikeyan’s Doctor, this Rajini starrer had a good pre-release buzz among the audience thanks to its exciting trailer and a loaded star cast consisting of Mohanlal, Ramya Krishna, and Shiva Rajkumar.

Rajinikanth’s extraordinary screen presence and action episodes left a lasting impression on everyone. Nelson made a strong comeback after a failure like Beast, while Anirudh’s BGM was a major highlight of the movie.

The makers of Varun Tej’s upcoming action thriller, Gandeevadhari Arjuna are trying their best to get the required craze around the film but nothing has worked for them. That is the reason for the film to be released with such a low buzz and what more shocking is the film’s producer is releasing it for deficit.

The film is said to be made on a record budget for Varun Tej which is around 55Cr. The makers have not compromised about the quality of the film, which is why the budget has spent so hugely. The non theatricals have fetched the producer around 25Cr and for the theatricals the movie did not get sold for big prices, and it did around just 20Cr business.

So, with these calculations, the producers are left with no option but to release the film in deficit now and Gandeevadhari Arjuna needs to get big returns from the buyers in its theatrical run.

The film is directed by Praveen Sattaru and features Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Vinay Rai as the antagonist. The ensemble cast is made up of Nazar, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, and Baby Vedain. The movie, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, has its music composed by Mickey J Meyer.

After making a grand comeback on the silver screen after 4 years with Pathaan, Bollywood badshah, the King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to release his upcoming action entertainer Jawan. This time he teamed up with the Tamil director Atlee who is well known for making the commercial films on a grand scale. The film is just about 3 weeks away from its release, and it has done a superb theatrical business worldwide.

Jawan has been sold for huge prices in all territories. The North India rights have said to be sold around 135Cr and the South India rights are valued at 65Cr. Overall, the India rights stand at around 200Cr and the Overseas rights were sold at 105Cr which makes the total theatrical business to 305Cr. Also, the non-theatrical rights of Jawan have been sold at huge prices. Audio + Digital + Satellite rights are valued more than 230 Cr. Overall, the film fetched a whopping amount which is close to 550Cr for the producer through the pre-release business.

Jawan, the film consists of a stellar star cast and the recently released preview promised stunning action episodes. The dialogues uttered by Shah Rukh Khan in the video were really superb. With star actors like SRK, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), the film is sure to bring the audience to the theaters. The music by Anirudh Ravichander in the film’s teaser/preview was very much appreciated, and the two songs released by the team have been liked by the fans as well.

Jawan was previously slated to be released on June 2. However, the date was changed because of the delay in the VFX. Thereafter, it was rumored that the film will see an August release, but eventually the makers decided to release the film on. September 7. The film will also be released in Telugu, and Tamil alongside Hindi.

Directed by Nithin Krishnamurthy, ‘Boys Hostel’ is a youthful and crazy comedy entertainer. The movie is the dubbed version of Hostel Hudugare Bekagiddare which was released recently and became the biggest blockbuster in Kannada in 2023.

Now it will be released in Telugu on August 26th. The trailer of the film was recently released by the makers. Speaking at the trailer launch event of Boys’ Hostel, Baby Movie Producer SKN spoke about the anchor Rashmi, who has played a one-of-the-key role in the movies. “In the college hostel boys’ rooms, Rashmi Gautam’s photos are pasted on the wall.” SKN told.

Rashmi Gautam was shocked by this. Not only that, he later covered up his words and said that it would be like this in many boys’ hostels. “From now on we should also see photos of our Baby Vaishnavi in hostels” he said. This brought disrepute to the two actresses on the stage. Rashmi immediately made a return comment. “Whose photo do you have in your house?” However, the producer replied that there will be different posters on each day of a week. The video of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Pawan Kalyan’s Bro The Avatar will be streaming on OTT from this weekend

Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej starrer Bro The Avatar which was released in theaters a 4 weeks ago, is now getting to be available for the OTT streaming from this weekend. The film will be streaming on Netflix from 25th August. On the same day, multiple films will be released in theaters and OTT as well. So Bro movie will have a tough competition upon its digital release.

On 28th July, Bro The Avatar was opened to mixed response and the same happened with the opening weekend Collections as well. The film failed to put strong numbers which were required for a star hero’s film from Day 1 itself and after the 1st weekend run the film had seen a big drop in the Collections. The worldwide Collections of this film are 66Crs and the breakeven mark was 100Crs.

The film had received average talk from the family audiences, but many of the public felt that the film was not suitable for a star hero like Pawan Kalyan, and though he entertained as much as he can the audiences felt that the protagonist Sai Dharam Tej was unable to lead the film. That is why the numbers of the film went downhill from the first Monday onwards.

Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej, Bro also stars Priya Prakash Varrier, Ketika Sharma, Brahmanandam, Rohini Molleti, Subbaraju, Tanikella Bharani, and Raja Chembolu played crucial roles. TG Vishwa Prasad produced the film, Bro The Avatar under the banner of People Media Factory along with ZEE Studios. Vivek Agnihotri, the director who has made it a habit to be involved in controversies, returned with a web series, The Kashmir Files Unreported. The premiere took place on Zee5 OTT platform. Meanwhile, the filmmaker stopped an interview midway through and walked out because he was questioned about the BJP’s promotion of his hit film, The Kashmir Files. The interviewer can be heard saying that Vivek also gave her an ultimatum in the viral video.

The video starts with the interviewer saying that there are numerous opinions that The Kashmir Files is made anti-Muslim agenda. To this, Vivek responds, “First of all, I am not answerable to that.” In addition, she mentioned that the BJP has been discussing Kashmiris since the 90s; it’s not an untold story.

Vivek adds, “I am not the spokesperson of the BJP; I have nothing to do with them.” Furthermore, he asserted that the government did not promote his film, and he also denied that Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoting his film.

The video shows Vivek’s team member attempting to stop the interview shortly after. The filmmaker can be heard telling the interviewer, “I have understood where you are going and where you are coming from. I am pretty experienced.”

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Vivek recently announced the release of his next film, The Vaccine War: A True Story, starring actors like Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda, Girija Oak, and Pallavi Joshi. On September 28, 2023, the film is set to be released on the big screen in 11 different languages.
