Chandramukhi 2, the much hyped Sequel for Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi (2005) is already one of the craziest films in South Indian Cinema. The film’s first single track was released a few days ago, and the melodious song has been doing well on musical platforms. Now, the film’s rights in Telugu states have been sold for a fancy price.

The Telugu states rights of Chandramukhi 2 have been bought by Radhakrishna entertainments a long time ago, and it was officially announced today. The rights are sold for 13Cr, and it is really a great business for the film as the image of Lawrence and Chandramukhi brand together fetched good offers from the buyers despite the film being released in competition.

MM Keeravani the Oscar Award Winner will be scoring the music for ‘Chandramukhi 2’, and he will be making a comeback to Tamil with the film. The film’s runtime is almost 3 hours (2 hours 50 Minutes). The film’s story is very much similar to the first part, where a rich family faces many problems in their big house/palace because of a ghost.

The film is scheduled to be released this year on Vinayaka Chavithi (September 15th) in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles.

While Raghava Lawrence will reprise the role of Rajinikanth, Kangana Ranaut will appear in Jyotika’s place along with Vadivelu, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Maria, Suresh Menon, Subiksha Krishnan and many others.

Aditi Shankar, the rising star of Kollywood, is all set to romance versatile actor Suriya in his upcoming film with director Sudha Kongara. The film, Suriya 43, is expected to be a thrilling drama that is based on true events. Aditi, the daughter of filmmaker Shankar, has already impressed audiences with his first film Viruman in which she acted opposite Karthi. Now, she has grabbed the opportunity to work with Karthi’s elder brother, Suriya, who is one of the most popular actors in South Indian cinema.

Suriya 43 will mark the second collaboration between Suriya and Sudha Kongara, who delivered a well acclaimed hit with Soorarai Pottru last year. The film, which depicted the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, received multiple National Awards and critical acclaim. Suriya’s performance as Nedumaaran Rajangam was appreciated by one and all because of which he also won the National Award for Best Actor for his role. Sudha Kongara, who is known for her realistic and engaging storytelling, has reportedly said that Suriya 43 will be the most important film of her career and Suriya is also very excited about the script.

Suriya 43 will also have another talented actor from the south, Dulquer Salmaan, who will be collaborating with Suriya for the first time. Dulquer, who is the son of Malayalam superstar Mammootty, has acted in several Tamil films such as Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, OK Kanmani, and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.

During a recent event in Chennai, he hinted that he is a part of Suriya 43. The film will have music by GV Prakash Kumar, who will be scoring his 100th film as a composer. GV Prakash has also collaborated with Sudha Kongara on her earlier films Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Pottru.

Aditi Shankar, who is currently filming her third movie with director Vishnuvardhan, has expressed her happiness about being a part of Suriya 43. She has also signed a new film with director Ramkumar of Raatsasan fame. Aditi Shankar is surely on a roll and has a bright future ahead of her with these projects in her hands. However, despite being a massive success, Jailer has no chance of beating Ponniyin Selvan in his homeland, i.e, Tamil Nadu.

Jailer has created a sensation everywhere and achieved all-time records, but in its homeland, Tamil Nadu, the movie has no chance to create all-time record. Jailer collected around 155Cr gross in Tamil Nadu until now and stands at No 3 behind films like Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan 1.

The movie is likely to beat Vikram and settle at the position of top 2. While the Mani Ratnam’s Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan 1 has collected around 230Cr gross in Tamil Nadu and Jailer needs another 75Cr gross to beat it which is a highly impossible task. So Ponniyin Selvan 1 will remain as the top grosser in Tamil Nadu.

Post the debacle of his last project Annaatthe, the monstrous success of this action entertainer has given a massive boost to Superstar fans, with the film registering record collections in multiple centres.
