Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan team planning a new release trailer

After making a grand comeback on the silver screen after 4 years with Pathaan, Bollywood badshah, the King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to release his upcoming action entertainer Jawan. This time, he teamed up with the Tamil director Atlee, who is well-known for making commercial films on a large scale. The film has already got superb craze in the audiences and trade as well. Now it is being reported that the team of Jawan is planning to entertain the fans with a new release trailer.

The first trailer of Jawan was released already and it received a good response. To create more buzz, the team is planning to release a new trailer and the team is planning massive promotions to attract all the audiences, especially the south people.

Jawan, the film consists of a stellar star cast and the recently released preview promised stunning action episodes. The dialogues uttered by Shah Rukh Khan in the video were really superb. With star actors like SRK, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance), the film is sure to bring the audience to the theaters. The music by Anirudh Ravichander in the film’s teaser/preview was very much appreciated, and the two songs released by the team have been liked by the fans as well.

Jawan was previously slated to be released on June 2. However, the date was changed because of the delay in the VFX. Thereafter, it was rumored that the film will see an August release, but eventually the makers decided to release the film on September 7. The film will also be released in Telugu, and Tamil alongside Hindi.

After the National award winning films ‘Colour Photo’ and ‘Tellavarithe Guruvaram’ producer Ravindra Banerjee (Benny) Muppaneni is coming up with ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ under Laukya Entertainments banner with Hero Karthikeya Gummakonda and ‘DJ Tillu’ fame Neha Shetty in Lead roles. Mr. Clax is making his debut as a director for this film. This movie is presented by Yuvraj and getting released this Friday. At this context as a part of promotions, Benny interacted with the media on this occasion. The details are as follows…

Tell us a little about yourself and your background

Worked in software for six years With the interest and love Later entered the industry as a producer.

The reason for naming ‘BeduruLanka 2012’?

“Fear also plays a role in the story. Therefore, we put it as ‘Bedurulanka 2012’. In an assumed imaginary village What has for 21 days in 2012 is the Plot. The story we wanted to tell needed a 2012 backdrop. The story is offcourse different and focus will not be on ‘2012’.”

While Clax narrated the story, he told the core point of it, it seems. What elements do you see while listening to a story?

“I strongly believe that there should be an ‘X’ factor in a story. When watching a movie as an audience, you really want something new. Once the story is set, rest everything else will be Set automatically. After watching the promo, the audience needs something that’s new and make them think to go to this movie. I put it as a ‘check list’. I Loved the point when Clax told the story. And thought that No matter how interesting the point is we really can’t present it seriously and should be told in the best possible Entertaining way. This story was locked before two months of release of ‘Color Photo’.

How About Hero Karthikeya… How was your experience with him?

Very happy! Karthikeya has no problem even one percent. I wanted to work with him again for one more movie. Karthikeya is very professional.

What is the character of the hero?

Karthikeya will be seen in the role of a person living as per his will and wish. Society questions him. Neha Shetty will be seen in the role of hero’s girlfriend. They both will be in love since childhood. All the characters in the film have a character arc.We wont lead life 100% as our heart pleases, however if we know we are about to die, how will we fare in the final moments? This is the core point of the film. Drama and comedy will be highlights in the movie. Even though there are many characters in the film, there is not even a single character you feel that it is forcibly incorporated.

You said that Neha Shetty as the heroine would be better!

There is a craze for that girl in the audience. Her screen presence is good in ‘DJ Tillu’. Modern and urban roles were played in it. I thought it would be good to do a rural backdrop role with that girl. Clax said that she might not be suitable for this role based on the character played in ‘DJ Tillu’. After doing the screen test, we felt happy. Neha Shetty will be set for any role and will get fame with ‘Bedurulanka 2012’. She acted so well in the character of a village girl.

For the film with a new director, many senior technicians have been hired. What is the reason?

Experienced technicians seemed to be needed to get Clax’s Vision on the screen. Mani Sharma as the music director, Sai Prakash as the cinematographer… there was no compromise anywhere. There was no compromise in the matter of artists either.

Did you get a song written by ‘Sirivennela’? please tell about that.

Unfortunate thing, sirivennela garu passed away while writing this song. Mani Sharma brought us that notes. Chaitanya Prasad penned the rest of the song. I thought that we should not use his name for publicity claiming his last lyrics were penned to our movie.

The trailer of this movie was released by Ram Charan. What did he say?

Before releasing the trailer, Ram Charan asked what the story was about. After watching the trailer, they talked about the concept and talked about Ajay Ghosh character after his entry and He really praised Mani Sharma’s music. Well Before watching the trailer, Karthikeya and Neha Shetty pair was admired by Ram charan.

‘Colour Photo’, ‘Tellavarithe Guruvaram’, now ‘Bedurulanka 2012’ – how was your journey as a producer been?

It’s good because I like doing it. I can answer this question after doing five films. I think story is important for any film.

Your next projects?

We have finalized three projects. We will announce them after the release of ‘Bedurulanka 2012’. Two of them are concept driven films. The other One is planned as a very huge one.

Earlier this year, Hombale Films founder Vijay Kirgandur, in an interaction with the media, revealed that Rishab Shetty had already started working on the script of pan India blockbuster Kantara. The first portion of the film, Kantara 2 requires shooting during rain and that is why the monsoon season was selected as the shoot time. However, the pre-production of the film is experiencing prolonged delays.

Kantara 2 will be made as a prequel of Kantara and because the first part became a pan-Indian success, the team wants to deliver the best for Kantara 2, which is causing the delays in pre-production. The team firstly planned to start the shoot in June, and later it got postponed to August and the unit wanted to release the film in 2024 Summer.

Now the inside reports strongly suggest that the shoot plan is postponed to this year-end and they are planning to release the film in the second half of 2024.

Kantara was first released in Kannada as a small film and when it became a massive success, they released it in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. This film is an action-thriller that is rooted in Karnataka folklore and is written and directed by Rishab Shetty himself. Kantara also starred Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty in pivotal roles.

After scoring his career biggest hit with Waltair Veerayya for this year’s Sankranthi, Chiranjeevi shockingly saw his career’s biggest disastrous result with his latest film, Bhola Shankar. More than the result, the way it registered the poorest numbers at the box office is what shocked everyone. The reasons for the Bhola Shankar becoming the biggest disaster ever are as follows.

1. Selecting a subject less remake : Doing remakes is not at all a crime. Tollywood and Chiranjeevi have seen massive blockbusters with remake films. But the main issue happened with Bhola Shankar is the selected content being feeble. Vedalam is not a fresh subject, or it does have any strong elements, it was a regular commercial film and this kind of films were already seen in the Telugu industry from long ago. So selecting an outdated content for the remake is the biggest mistake from the side of Chiranjeevi.

2. Selecting an outdated director : One cannot help but wonder how come Chiranjeevi has chosen Meher Ramesh as a director for his film. If he wanted to do this remake then at least he should have gone for some good commercial directors like Harish Shankar, Gopichand Malineni etc., At least they could have made some big and suitable changes to adapt to the taste of latest audiences.

3. Promotional Content: The audio of the film, Bhola Shankar was okay but the teaser, trailer, and posters had completely misfired horribly. So, with such below par content, the buzz on the film got killed up massively. 

4. Unnecessary imitations : The Pawan Kalyan imitations done by Chiranjeevi were released as promotional content before release, and it became a troll stuff for the audiences even before the release. Many felt that it was not all needed for a star like Megastar Chiranjeevi to imitate Pawan Kalyan in such a cringe way.

For all these reasons, the film was watched strictly by a section of fans because a few fans and other audiences were not at all interested in watching Bhola Shankar. Which is why the film became the biggest disaster. A star hero film collecting less than 20Cr worth share is definitely unimaginable nowadays as even the disaster films are opening with 30Cr+ shares.

In the film industry, not every film which is a big hit or which does huge business will bring profits to the distributors or buyers. Because of over estimation, sometimes the films also end up with losses. At the same time, those films’ loss will effect other big film’s business. The same is now happening with Prabhas’s upcoming pan-Indian action film Salaar. The losses of RRR are causing problems for Salaar movie’s business.

With belief in SS Rajamouli’s brand, the Telugu states buyers had invested huge money and bought the rights of the film for a massive price, but the film worked only in Nizam region and as far as the entire Andhra Pradesh the buyers faced a considerable amount of losses.

Now this is affecting Salaar business as the maker are quoting a massive amount in 200Cr ratio for the Telugu states and the buyers are back stepping as they would rather not take such a big risk again. One cannot blame the distributors or buyers because the quoted amount was a very big one.

Also, another reason to back the decision of the buyers of AP, nowadays the Telugu movies are not doing big businesses like before because of the new G. O of ticket prices. If any film unit wants the hike in ticket prices, then it should get the permission from the government and this process is not so easy. So the buyers are not ready to take a risk with Salaar keeping in mind the losses of RRR.

Pawan Kalyan fans were happy when they got to know that their favorite hero is all set to release three films with a short gap between them. Ustaad Bhagat Singh, OG, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu all his upcoming films have good craze and one of them was in plans for a Sankranthi release. It makes Pawan Kalyan out of the Sankranthi race officially.

Gadar 2 breaks all the records for 2nd weekend at the box office

Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and directed by Anil Sharma, has been unstoppable at the domestic box office by creating huge records with each passing day in its 10 day run. Also starring Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simrat Kaur, the film broke all the records for the 2nd weekend and collected 375 CR net at the box office.

With collecting a superb number of 90Cr net on the second weekend, Gadar 2 has broken Baahubali 2 movies’ 2nd weekend’s collection of 80Cr net and created an all-time record at the box office. If we compare it to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, it just collected around 63Cr net on its second weekend.

Which means Gadar 2 has collected more than 40% collections of Pathaan. Now the total net of the film for 10 days in India us 375Cr, and it will comfortably cross the 400Cr mark by tomorrow.

Gadar 2 is the continuation of the hit movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, released in theaters in 2001. Sunny played Tara Singh, a truck driver in the 2001 film, while Ameesha Patel played Sakeena. The film’s setting was during the partition of India in 1947. Tara Singh makes a daring journey across the border in Gadar 2 to rescue his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma, who has been captured in Pakistan.
