Chandramukhi 2, the much hyped Sequel for Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi (2005) is already one of the craziest films in South Indian Cinema. The film’s first single track was released a few days ago, and the melodious song has been doing well on musical platforms. Now, the film’s rights in Telugu states have been sold for a fancy price.
The Telugu states rights of Chandramukhi 2 have been bought by Radhakrishna entertainments a long time ago, and it was officially announced today. The rights are sold for 13Cr, and it is really a great business for the film as the image of Lawrence and Chandramukhi brand together fetched good offers from the buyers despite the film being released in competition.
MM Keeravani the Oscar Award Winner will be scoring the music for ‘Chandramukhi 2’, and he will be making a comeback to Tamil with the film. The film’s runtime is almost 3 hours (2 hours 50 Minutes). The film’s story is very much similar to the first part, where a rich family faces many problems in their big house/palace because of a ghost.
The film is scheduled to be released this year on Vinayaka Chavithi (September 15th) in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles.
While Raghava Lawrence will reprise the role of Rajinikanth, Kangana Ranaut will appear in Jyotika’s place along with Vadivelu, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Maria, Suresh Menon, Subiksha Krishnan and many others.
