Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro The Avatar and Sai Rajesh’s directorial Baby were released on OTT on the same day, August 25th. Suprisingly both the films have been able to impress the viewers upon the digital release and, as a result, they are now trending in top positions on OTT platforms.

Bro The Avatar had started streaming on last Friday, and now it is trending at the top position on Netflix. The same goes for Baby, it was also started streaming on OTT from last Friday, and it is trending at the top position on Aha Video. Both movies are getting a record number of views on OTT platforms.

Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Anand Deverakonda’s Baby, which was released in theaters on July 14th was opened to positive response upon its theatrical release, but it also had a fair share of its controversies as well. However, the film went on to become a massive success at the box office

Bro movie had received average talk from the family audiences, but many of the public felt that the film was not suitable for a star hero like Pawan Kalyan, and though he entertained as much as he can the audiences felt that the protagonist Sai Dharam Tej was unable to lead the film. However, upon its OTT release, the film has received a relatively better response.

Everyone is aware of how a big failure was Bhola Shankar, the latest film of Megastar Chiranjeevi. The film has received dismal openings compared to Chiranjeevi’s previous films. The response from the audiences and collections both were disastrous. The most surprising thing is the people did not see Bhola Shankar even on holidays. Due to such a terrible result, Bhola Shankar was taken out from all the theaters in just two weeks. Now the film is ready to be available on OTT as per the reports.

The movie’s digital rights were bought by the OTT giant Netflix, and the buzz is the film will be streaming on Netflix from 18th September. Nowadays, most of the Telugu films are being released on OTT after 4 weeks of theatrical release, but Bhola Shankar will make its Digital debut after 5 weeks of its theatrical release.

Bhola Shankar’s Telugu states rights are valued at Rs 76Cr approx and the movie completely crashed with collecting zero shares in each territory. August 15th was the last day for the film and if we consider only share from the Telugu states it is not even 20Cr. The makers have incurred around 60Cr loss including P&P in just Telugu states, which has never happened in the Telugu cinema history.

Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film, Bhola Shankar is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Vedaalam. Keerthy Suresh played the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister in the movie, which is set against the backdrop of Kolkata, banking on brother and sister relationship and Tamannaah plays the female lead. Sushant also played a key role. Anil Sunkara has produced the film on the AK Entertainments banner.

On the occasion of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s birth centenary, the central government had printed a 100 rupee coin in his name. The event will be held on August 28. President Draupadi Murmu will personally release the Rs 100 coin of NTR. The fans of Nandamuri Family will be delighted to know the news that both Balakrishna and NTR will be gracing this prestigious event.

Recently, Nandamuri family celebrated the birth anniversary of the famous Telugu actor and politician late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as he completed 100 years of birth this year. The central government announced that it will release a 100 rupee coin (NTR Coin) in the name of NTR in his honor.

President Droupadi Murmu will be leading the ceremony for the release of the specially minted coin at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow. Invitees include Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Daggubati Purandeswari, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr. NTR.

The Govt. Of India has minted the ₹100 coin with the face of NTR for his centenary celebrations. This coin has a diameter of 44 mm and has 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel & 5% zinc.

NTR is currently working with Koratala Siva on a massive action entertainer which is being made on a grand scale. It is very well known to everyone that it’s his 30th movie. That too it’s his immediate release after a global blockbuster RRR, so the expectations will be for sure massive. As per the reports, the team of Devara has spent a massive budget on the VFX.

NTR’s Devara team completed the entire part of action sequences and there are a huge number of action sequences in the film which put a total of around 6. Now the team sent the action content to the VFX team and began shooting the other portion of the film. Reportedly, Hollywood Studios are working on this and only the VFX budget is said to around 50Cr, which is a massive amount.

The film is surrounded by massive expectations and hype among the fans, and it is said that the film, Devara will have many outstanding and thrilling action sequences. Because it carries huge anticipation, the unit is taking care of every minute detail of the film.

Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor plays the lead actress in the movie, while Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist against NTR. Hari Krishna K and Mikkilineni Sudhakar are producing this movie under the NTR Arts and Yuva Sudha Arts banners. The film has its music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Pakala Murali bought the rights of Ceeded and the value is said to be around 6.5Cr. The Total Telugu states rights are valued at around 35Cr and the Worldwide total will be around 40Cr.

Tiger Nageswara Rao’s teaser showcased the Mighty Tiger in a thrilling way (Ravi Teja) as he dominates the realm of terror in Stuartpuram, a city known far and wide as the crime capital of South India. The teaser also featured Anupam Kher as an intelligence officer and Murali Sharma as an assistant superintendent of police, who are on a mission to catch Tiger Nageswara Rao.

The story of Tiger Nageswara Rao, written by Vamsee, is based on real events and set in the evocative backdrop of the 1970s. Along with Raviteja, Anupam Kher and Murali Sharma, Nupur Sanon as well as Gayathri Bhardwaj will also be seen essaying crucial roles in the film.

Salaar is on track to cross RRR premiers in America

Hits or flops are common in the industry. While the quality of films usually decides its fate. Off late, the trade is also deciding whether the film will just be a box office failure or a monstrous disaster. Due to heavy pre-release business, several films are not even recovering 1/4th or 1/5th. Here are some Tollywood films this year that faced severe box-office crushing and couldn’t justify their big budgets and trade numbers.

  1. Shaakuntalam: According to the makers the movie was made on a whooping budget of 75Cr. Unfortunately, the movie did not even collect 7Cr share theatrically
  2. Agent: The budget is said to be close to Rs 100Crs and this Akhil Akkineni starter ended up with single digit closing share
  3. Ramabanam: It was the biggest budget film in Gopichand’s career with around Rs 40Cr budget. Due to routine presentation and outdated story, the film ended up with just Rs 4Cr closing share
  4. Custody: This Naga Chaitanya starrer was made on a big budget of around Rs 35Cr and ended up with just Rs 5Cr share
  5. Bhola Shankar: The biggest disaster of the year so far, this film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi was made on a Rs 150Cr budget and ended up with a 30Cr closing share marking the second disaster for producer Anil Sunkara in 2023 after Agent.
  6. Gandeevadhari Arjuna: The latest entrant into the big-budget low-returns club, this movie was made on around Rs 45Cr+ budget and has not managed any interest from the audience. The film will now theatrically close under Rs 4 Cr

Tollywood Producers and buyers need to be very calculative at least from now. The production costs due to unnecessary delays and actor’s remunerations are shooting up and as we have seen this year, this is a recipe for sure shot disaster if the content of the film is not good.

Reportedly, the film is said to have a very emotional climax as the lead pair suffers with both health and personal issues in the relationship and a great message is also said to be delivered in this film. Varun Tej’s Gandeevadhari Arjuna was released earlier this week and saw zero interest from the audience, registering the worst opening of the actor’s career.  The film was made on a massive budget in Varun Tej’s career but shockingly witnessed a disastrous opening ever in his career. The film has received negligible shares in all territories and the overall worldwide share will be less than 1Cr after opening day. This shows what kind of disastrous opening the film has got.

Due to a disastrous opening and lack of interest from the audience, the makers are now planning to release the film on OTT early. The digital rights of the film bought by Netflix as there is no theatrical revenue for the film, the team is in plans to release it early on the OTT giant. The film is expected to stream on Netflix in the September 3rd week.

Gandeevadhari Arjuna had almost negligible pre-release hype. The trailer and other promotional content absolutely failed to create a buzz in the audience.

The film is directed by Praveen Sattaru and features Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Vinay Rai as the antagonist. The ensemble cast is made up of Nazar, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, and Baby Vedain. The movie, which is produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, has its music composed by Mickey J Meyer.

Nithin has expressed his admiration for Pawan Kalyan many times by putting references to the Star in his films, and Pawan had appeared as the chief guest for a few events of Nithin’s movies. Now Nithin once again proved that he is a super fan of Pawan Kalyan with his new movie title. Nithin is doing a movie with Pawan Kalyan’s super hit title Thammudu.

The film will be directed by Venu Sriram, the director of Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab. The upcoming movie ‘Thammudu’ was launched in Hyderabad on Sunday. The film is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

It is reported that the movie is being made in the backdrop of the relationship between the brothers and sisters. It is learned that the title of the film has been fixed as Thammudu as it suits the story. The regular shooting of the film will begin soon. This is the 56th movie to be produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

This is the second film to be directed by Venu Sriram after Vakeel Saab. After Vakeel Saab, Venu Sriram has announced a film titled Icon with Allu Arjun.

But due to unavoidable reasons, the project was shelved up with the announcement itself. At present, Nithin is doing a movie titled Extraordinary Man under the direction of Vakkantham Vamsi. The movie is slated to be released in December.
