President Draupadi Murmu will personally release the Rs 100 coin of NTR. Recently, Nandamuri family celebrated the birth anniversary of the famous Telugu actor and politician late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as he completed 100 years of birth this year. The central government announced that it will release a 100 rupee coin (NTR Coin) in the name of NTR in his honor.
President Droupadi Murmu will be leading the ceremony for the release of the specially minted coin at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow. Invitees include Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Daggubati Purandeswari, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr. NTR.
The Govt. Of India has minted the ₹100 coin with the face of NTR for his centenary celebrations. This coin has a diameter of 44 mm and has 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel & 5% zinc.
